    I was under the impression that ONLY tanks have gauntlet, brutes have fury. As far as I understand the only taunt factor in brute attacks is the damage that you do which has no more aggro than any other damage being done. Which means if another player out damages your attacks the aggro is passed to that player.

    Bu8t if you are right Max, it does explain why AVs and Heroes turn to team mates in a long fight and why taunt is he only way to get their attention back.

  4. Just about everyone who seriously PvP's and doesn't have KB protection in their sets takes acrobatics. Against those who don't, it still works.
  5. Drop temp. protection (It's useless against anything but cold damage, which is very rare), pick up combustion instead.
    Acro doesn't need that much EndRdx, it costs the same as your shields.
    Where is blazing aura? You won't get much out of fire/fire unless you herd, you'll need it for that.
    Grab fire sword circle as well, and slot it.

    Im not sure but iirc they have a singletarget version of gauntlet, whereas Tanks gauntlet affects also enemies in close AoE range around the hit target.

    [/ QUOTE ]Correct, Tanks have gauntlet that hits the target and up to 4 foes around it (for ST attacks), brutes have one that only taunts foes they actually hit.

    Well, lets take valkyrie fight for example: I was pumping her with all 5 energy attacks, including endurance drain and she still turned around and made for the nearest squishy after 20 seconds or so, without taunt, that squishy would have been eating sidewalk.


    [/ QUOTE ]The only way to currently taunt AV's and GM's is with taunt, they ignore gauntlet. However, this will be fixed in next patch.

    There have been some reports that would indicate healing might generate aggro, at least against some villain groups. However, AFAIK it's never been proven that it does generate aggro.

    There is some salvage, like alien tech, that is not refined, but rather used directly in creating base items.
  11. Well, my FF/NRG specialized in KB and damage, but then ED came and now all she can do is Bubble and KB... If you're not taking energy to maximize KB, or Psi/Rad to do damage, you're propably going to get bored with FF pretty fast...
  12. If you slot 3 hold, each hold pulse that hits will stack twice as long. This effectivily doubles the mag of the power.
  13. Hold durations, regardless of power, increase the duration of hold effects of that power.
  14. KB does indeed have a magnitude. However, most of the time it's irrelevant, since usually you're not going to be able to stack KB's to break through protection.

    Forgive me if this sounds foolish, I thought that Power Boost only boosted the secondary effects of powers so would it for example, increase the Damage buff on Aim and the Accuracy boost on Build Up? Or am I making this up?


    [/ QUOTE ]The term secondary effect is misleading. What count as secondary effects are set, they do not vary by the power. It basically affects most things apart for damage, damage (de)buffs, Accuracy (It affects ToHit though) and Resistance (de)buffs. A full list (AFAIK), here:

    [/ QUOTE ]Considering that this attack has the potential (Being a ranged AoE) to do up to 16 times that damage in total, I'd say it's, if not reasonable, at least close to it. And this is not taking into account the fact that it's psi damage, and has a knockup effect. I wouldn't go cutting the recharge (since that would be increasing the damage output), but some sort of endurance reduction to psi tornado might be good.
  21. DoT is purely damage, while power boost enhances secondary effects (Things other than damage, accuracy (Not to be confused with ToHit) and resistance), so PB won't boost the DoT of fire.
