Not bad, the only things you're going to put the bow away for are web grenade and the occasional caltrops.

Your Ancillary Power Pool shield will offer 50-55% odd by itself.
[/ QUOTE ]Where'd you get that number from? I seriously doubt it's accuracy. -

So are we're saying we don't want it fixed or it's not that much of a big deal then?
[/ QUOTE ]It's already fixed, the patch (Which supposedly brings 'other goodies' as well) just hasn't passed internal QA yet. -
[ QUOTE ]
Btw, while we're here, Thugs seem to be described as having no resistances to anything, is this a problem?
[/ QUOTE ]Not really, since double maneuvers from enforcers gives them nice +def. -

@Imag:
Em, we're not so sure. Reports state Endo's enhance Mag, not Duration for foe intangibles. But they're not exactly the same as Foe Captures, so we're doing some testing later.
[/ QUOTE ]I'd imagine they'd enhance the mag, since that's what intangibility enhancers do. -

As you already talking on ice shields I got a small question: Ice Shield = +Melee def, Glacial Shield = +AoE, Ranged def...meaning 2 of them (even with only those defence types mentioned) are equal +Def(All)...?! Even Psy ?!
[/ QUOTE ]Def(All) is defence against all damage types (Apart for toxic). Melee, ranged and AoE are position types. But yes, the ice shields will provide positional defence against all melee, ranged and AoE attacks, even psi.
[/ QUOTE ]
A far as I always understood every attack got positional component (be it: Melee, Range,..) . So if we exclude ALL the attacks that have Melle, Range, AoE component...what is left ?
[/ QUOTE ]Nothing, apart for hamidon, and possibly some bugged attacks.
The point was that if a power states def(all), it gives defence against the damage types (Smash, lethal etc. Not toxic due to game engine design). So the positional defence (Ranged, melee, AoE) from the shield doesn't actually stack with something that gives defence to damage types, but not positions. -

With /Dark, you have far better powers to take.

CJ + maneuvers gives a total of about 5-7% def. Not much, is it? Shadow fall alone gives more (AFAIK) and also gives group stealth and res to nrg/neg/psi/fear. Also, shadow fall and stealth drain about the same amount of endurance.
[/ QUOTE ]It's 3,75% defence, and double the end cost of stealth.
Nevertheless, I'd never waste a power pick on stealth on a char that can take shadow fall. -

Also -heal, like my poison masterminds, will help. Im not actually sure is poison the only set capable for it.
[/ QUOTE ] Nope -

If that's the case, then you'll get far better surviability from Aid Self than Resist Elements/Energies.

yeah gotta be the zone crashing that has killed it for many, its absolutely comical, wouldnt be so bad if we didnt ahve to smegging verify files every damn time
[/ QUOTE ]You don't, you can either set up a shortcut that alters the registry to remove VerifyOnNextLoad, or you can just bypass the updater. -

So, if you applied TK to someone and then they were made intangible, all the TANGIBLE foes in the area of effect could still be affected by TK though the target is not?
[/ QUOTE ]Yes, and same with all other anchored effects.
With TK this doesn't work all that well since all the tangible foes will be repelled outside the AoE since the anchor isn't affected by repel when intangible. -

e) When using it there is always the potential for a HORRIFIC SCREW-UP SCENARIO to occour. This is because Darkest Night is an anchor debuff. Should you get into a tight situation and fire off Black Hole, the AoE nature of the Black Hole means that your anchor may well be caught by the power. If this happens, they go intangiable, and cease to be able to affect anything. Unfotuantly this also means that your Darkest Night has also ceased to affect anything, as the game judges it to be an effect eminating from the now-intangiable anchor.
[/ QUOTE ]The debuff should work just fine even if the target is intangible, the effect's source is the player, not the foe.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, so does Telekinesis work on intangible foes?
[/ QUOTE ]No, intangible targets are not affected by anything. It should, however, work on foes surrounging the anchor even if the anchor is intangible. -

What's so bad about Black Hole?
[/ QUOTE ]It's not that it's bad, it's a decent power, it's just that usually you'll want to skip something in order to take primary/pool powers, and it's the least good of dark powers. -

Nopers, KB % is actually the % chance of causing a Knockback effect. The Knockback caused is based on the Enemy Type usually. Cogs fly, Humans move, Big Stompy Robots fall over.
[/ QUOTE ]
Doesn't it also depend on level? I mean I've done Knockdown with Energy Punch on a +2 Clockwork Boss, but that turns into Knockback on the same boss at -1.
[/ QUOTE ]Every KB power has a base magnitude. This magnitude is boosted or reduced according to purple patch rules when attacking lower/higher conning foes. Different foe types also have different magnitudes of KB protection, which means that some will be KB'd easier (Even with attacks that normally only do KD, which is actually low magnitude KB), while some will can take normal KD/KB attack without falling down. -

Also, As many people haven't noticed..
If you have no PFF on, and you have the pets on Defensive, they take some of your damage...Which always helps
Murf...
[/ QUOTE ]That's bodyguard mode, which Zap mentioned several times >_>
And it's defensive/follow, not merely defensive. -
Also, there didn't used to BE an oversight center when bases launched.
-
Take everything, apart for black hole if you don't have room for it.
-
Stone/Ice will have very high survivability, but pants damage.
Ice/Stone will be fairly well balanced. -

I am talking about this for personal use -and usefullness- of range ehancements in nightfall and firebreath. The latter has such a small cone- a so silly small one that it's is actually not fair when you compare it to other cone attacks.
[/ QUOTE ]Fire Breath has a good sized cone. You're most likely thinking of Breath Of Fire (The tank/brute version) -
Just wait 'till SO's, it's an AoE control so it has a lower ACC than most powers.
-
Actually, taunt works normally, and gauntlet and auras work normall on minions, but not on anything else.
Personally, I just don't play my tank
