  1. Everything apart for torrent and life drain is good.

    Dark pit should be especially nice for a kin, since you'll be running stacked siphon speed. You'll be able to perma-stun minions, and if you get the psi epic you'll be able to hold a few lieuts and bosses. Add TT to that to keep the stunned minions from walking away, and you'll be able to nicely lock down small/medium spawns.
  2. I believe the steel canyon note refers to the fact that you can no longer fly over the war walls, then under the zone, and into the university. (Not to mention the fact that while under steel, you could fire at mobs without them being able to shoot back, thus earning riks-free XP on any L10-20 char with flight)

    As for FF and Croatoa, no idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]Actually, elude only gives melee, ranged and AoE defence. It's quite possible that carnioe holds are tagged as sionic type, but not any position, and since elude doesn't give any typed defence, they go straight through it.
  4. Can't see why KD wouldn't be useful soloing, it's a great soft control, and works well even on bosses.

    Anyways, my personal preference at the moment is TA/Psi, huge -rech, two powers with -res, good damage blasts, lots of nice debuffs, only issue is lack of self heal which can be countered with aid self.

    First off, you should get the power numbers from NoFuture. After that, you should propably calculate the DPS for each attack with 1 recharge and 3 dam, and with 2 recharge and 2 dam, as well as sort the powers for their DPA (Damage per animation).

    After that you could make up attack chains with both slottings, constructing the sets so that you'll be attacking non-stop, and repeating your highest DPA attacks as often as possible. Then just compare the damage each chain does over, say, 30 seconds.

  9. It's only worth it if you're very close to the DEF cap, which, as fire/fire, you won't be.

    But surely IR is an PBAoE Buff, not simply a Self Buff?

    So doesn't that put it back into the rooting category?

    Taking acrobatics for a kinetic is a wasted power slot IMO as it achieves little more than hover with some serious drawbacks: it is noticeably more expensive endu-wise than hover

  14. Would never go without taunt for a stoner, since theiy're so gimped that they need it

    Also don't usually fight astuff higher than +3's so reduced power effectiviness isn't that much of a problem, CE works just fine for all my aggro grabbing needs on my ice tank (Although it's not quite as good now that it doesn't have the near-instant tickrate anymore, but it still holds all the aggro needed.)
  15. Well, my plan was to respec to SS+CD after getting trip mine. But I took smoke grenade at 30 to test it, and found it suprisingly useful for toebombing with trip mines. It's definitely a viable alternative for SS, if not quite as fast for ghosting.
  16. I'll propably be either rerolling my L8 Claws/DA (Or maybe exemplaring until we hit that level, since he has freespec and some cossie tokens in store), or rolling a BS/ or Katana/, propably with /regen.

    Fridays am free from noon 'till around 2 hours past midnight.
    Saturdays am free from 10 AM to past midnight
    Sundays am free from 10 AM to 8 PM.

    [/ QUOTE ]What power are you basing this on? Because if it's hot feet, foes run from it because the power has a 4 second "Afraid" component applied when it hits. Blazing aura doesn't have that.

There seems little point in having any AoE's if your early attacks spread the bad guys out too much for them to effective. For that reason, I have not taken Rain of Fire, Blazing Aura, Combustion and will not take Burn or Hot Feet, all of which can cause enemy groups to scatter.

    [/ QUOTE ]Combustion is PBAoE clicky damage power, like FSC, it shouldn't scatter. And blazing aura shouldn't have any scatter effect either, I believe.
