Stone without Granite plays a lot like Ice. You've got defense vs. physical and energy based damage and resistance vs. the elements. Instead of a slowing aura you've got an immobilising one, but it offers less mitigation through recharge penalties and damage debuffs. You can't get as much elemental resistance, but you get a little physical resistance in-set. You don't get an endurance drainer, but you are resistant to endurance drain, and have an accelerated rate of health recovery. One big plus you have over the Ice tanker is that you get specific psionic defense. Advantages the Ice tanker has over you would include easier mobility and the option of turning invulnerable to recover health and endurance.

It's best to max both, but you should probably focus on the resistance over defense.

Improved it a bit without lowering enhancement persentages anywhere more than one or two % (except in the case of endmod in EA, which dropped 10% to make way for more def, which is more important IMO), and without altering slot numbers. Not much else I can do without reducing some stats, changing slot numbers, or using purple sets.

Regards using StunIve been told that combined with Energy Punch and other energy melee it is more effective.
That said; if you are using two powers to get Punch and Stun, you may as well go for Taunt and Fear

Negative Power Boost suffers similar problem as -DEF: resist based sets are hit more often, therefore mezzes land more often. Reduced mezz protection = toggles gone = game over.

Yes they can, otherwise "Weaken" or "Power Boost" wouldn't make it less or more difficult to mez a toon. Any Buff/Debuff that affects the Mag or Duration of a mez effect also affects mez protection strength.
[/ QUOTE ]But mez protection is technically negative mez effect. If Weaken worked that way, it'd apply all mez effects if used on a target with no mez protection. Which I'm pretty sure it doesn't.
