Drop twilight grasp/life drain (i recently respec'd these out myself)
[/ QUOTE ]Mind telling me how exactly can you drop the first secondary power?
[/ QUOTE ]
Even if you could drop it, why would you? An excellent heal (Ok you've to run towards melee to heal the meatbags but generally that doesn't matter) with a great -acc debuff in it too.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't call it an excellant heal, its AoE is too small. However it is a good power, anyone got an idea how much Acc and Damage debuff it does?
[/ QUOTE ]Dunno how big the debuff is, it does debuff both though.
As For The AoE, I always found it sufficient for myself and my pets, and that's all I need to be healing. -

Whirlwind is great in PvE
[/ QUOTE ]It WAS good in PvE, but no more as it was nerfed from knockup to knockback. -

3- Sonic Repulsion:
Description: You create a powerful sonic resonance around an ally, repelling all foes nearby. You will lose endurance for each target repelled.
This power might depend on your interest for Raids and PvP. Giving Sonic Repulsion to a MM/Controller/Dominator will avoid the AS's of Stalkers on Raid missions and PvP. */EA Stalkers might be able of AS across repel shields, but if you give'em Clarity they will have +perception, so they can just avoid the stalkers easily.
[/ QUOTE ]One problem: It's knockback, not repel, so nearly any melee player can get through it (apart for, of the top of my head, /DA /FA and /ninja, unless they run acrobatics). -

You could always try out a fire/thermarad. Good for soloing as youve got good attacks with the option of healing yourself (albeit slowly).
[/ QUOTE ]IMO, the only 3 secondaries suited for solo builds are /dark, /ran adn /kin, and maybe /cold on higher levels, as those don't rely too much on ally buffs. -
Just a thought, you might want to make all PB and WS ancillary's N/A.
-
Currently psi epic with MaX.
Oh, and Osiron's secondary is empathy. -

The bad side of AR for blapping is the weapon draw animation, really bad if you want to pull primary attack in the middle of melees (and I dont think any secondary can keep up a melee-only attack chain).

nrg secondary = gooooood, fire primary = baaaaaad,
seriously, consider anyhting except fire for a pvp build, u have no control and the extra dmg is almost pointless (compare this to bonus control).
Plight
[/ QUOTE ]Kinda late now considering he's already playing that character -
Energy is basically the best secondary. AR can be biannoying at later levels due to the fact that it's mostly smash/lethal damage which is well resisted, but its not that big of a problem. AR is a late bloomer though, of the early attacks buckshot and M30 grenade really aren't that good. Also, with the fact that you have to draw the gun after you use an attack that doesnt use it, it will make your melee attacks less used, and those are possibly your biggest damage dealers.

The lack of notification in the text is a bug, henchmen CAN NOT be resurrected, in any way, shape or form. Closest you get is making a ghost from a necrophile's hench.

A functional base will weigh in at around 1mil Influence.

Total Focus has a very high chance to stun/disorient (i forget which)
[/ QUOTE ]Stun=Disorient=Stun -
Flares is actually only one from blaster sets that is like that, the other 1st attacks are useful.

Oh, and I'm not overly familiar with SR. Does Practiced Brawler give Knockback protection?
[/ QUOTE ]Yup, protects against everything. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Against normal mobs, like you say, it's roughly equivalent to 3 acc SO. Against mobs with defense or that use tohit debuffs it's even better.
[/ QUOTE ]
That doesn't make sense.
[/ QUOTE ]It does, as Accuracy and ToHit are 2 different things. If the enemy has high defence, 100% ToHit buff will be more effective than 100% ACC buff from enhancers. -
You'll need at least dark consumption earlier as DM/SR is END heavy, also slot at least 2 EndRdx in evasion as it costs more than your other toggles. I'd also take soul drain earlier, it's just so good power. The SR passives aren't worth slotting IMO, only would take them for the bonus they provide when you're on low HP.

Torrent...hmmm.
I took this power twice on my bubbles/dark defender and specced out of it twice. It does minimal damage, but ALOT of knockback. I found it to be useless for knocking mobs onto tar patch as it had the tendency to throw them right over it. I beleive the KB distance has been changed recently (dont quote me on that).
[/ QUOTE ]The version that necromancer liches use was toned down, but AFAIK the player usable version remains as it was. -

Could /elec not do this? Considering that they have more damaging melee attacks than /NRG.
[/ QUOTE ]
The /elec version of Total Focus (shocking grasp is it...?) actually does much less damage than /energy Total Focus which is it's main downfall imo.
[/ QUOTE ]It's thunder strike, and it's BI is only .7 less than TF's, which IMO is offset by the fact that the second most powerful /elec attack has 2.7 higher BI than second most powerful /NRG melee attack.

FWIW, I think Ice/Elec would do better of all the Elec combos, with the synergy of holds, and the benefit of Ice's -Regen, -Spd effects.
[/ QUOTE ] -recharge, surely? -
IIRC, didn't they just decrease power effectiviness in I5, keeping RES caps the same?
-
But, from the power description: [ QUOTE ]
Also, not listed in the Brawl Index is a random 0 - 10 tick of .5556 fire damage.
[/ QUOTE ] That brings the damage potential over TB. -
Well, everywhere I know it says it does it, and all kinetist guides (post-I4, when the effect was added) say it too.
-
Maximim defiance and inferno is most blaster can do actually, that's the most damaging nuke and defiance is enough to cap your damage.
