I'd go with something like:

unless you want to add ToHit buffs, the optimal slotting would be 3 res, 2 EndMod, and 1 EndRdx (in that order).
-
I wouldnt say it's bad, it's not 'über' (for that youd need regen
), but it's certainly not bad, and the stacking DEF from DA is nice.
Then again, a secondary with RES/Regen could potentially benefit more of the DEF boost...
But no way it's a bad combo, if you're happy with it, stick with it -

The only good power from /FF is PFF, /DM has 8 good powers, guess which set I prefer
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh you just seem to forget :
- Force bolt : very accurate attack with 33 % chance of detoggle
- The two little bubbles for your pets, with I7 defence scaling, it could become making them invincible
- Dispersion bubble : some mez protection /Dark hasn't.
- Force Bubble : can be useful often in PvP.
So, /FF is really not limited to PFF... This is a so minimalist and uninformed view of the set...
[/ QUOTE ]Thewas supposed to signify a joke, if you look at my sig you can see the L35 FF/NRG Def there, I know full well how good the set can be. However, dark outperforms it on every single area apart for self-protection, and even that is flawed with FF due to not being able to attack from PFF.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm thinking to drop the Body Mastery Plans then, and go with Weapon. In retrospect it's closer to my ORIGINAL concept for the char anyway.
Another question - if I have Shruniken, do I need Exploding too? Since I'm /SR my build is pretty tight, and it would be nice to fit in a luxury power (such as Recall Friend) or either Cobra Strike/Crippling Axe Kick. My main use for a ranged attack is to bring them in range of my feet, after all.
[/ QUOTE ]I'd take explodiong shuriken to be able to deal AoE damage, and for the sheer coolness of the concept, but it's by no means necessary. -
[ QUOTE ]
All 'nova-type' powers (tier 9 blaster powers) are capped at the 16 AoE limit for them.

Thanks to your feedback, we've changed the AOE values to:
Set a maximum number of targets that can be affected by most offensive powers:
Ranged AoE and Large PBAoE damage powers (like Nova), Ranged AoE and PBAoE Debuffs, Ranged AoE and PBAoE Controls powers are all set to 16.
Ranged cones, and Melee AoE (PBAoE) are set to 10.
Melee Cones are set to 5.
Taunts (including Tanker inherent Taunt - Gauntlet, aka 'PunchVoke') are set to 5.
Buffs are unaffected.
This thread is for you to provide feedback to the Devs on the above issues. You are allowed to post ONCE in this thread. Make it count! If you post more than one time - the extra posts will be removed.
If a dev responds this count will be reset.

[/ QUOTE ]Blizzard is LBAoE (location-based AoE), thus unaffected by maximum target cap. -

Yeah, FF's got one heck of an advantage with that Personal Force Field... have a thought to us poor non-FF Masterminds who can't turn ourselves invincible at will.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good point, FF users have an easier life than the others I think.
I'm PvP I saw a couple of /dark MMs totally owning. It was kinda scary!
[/ QUOTE ]The only good power from /FF is PFF, /DM has 8 good powers, guess which set I prefer -

You are all correct bar 1 thing :P
Energy Torrent is a (long range) Conebut decent damage and control nonetheless.
[/ QUOTE ]I know that, just meant it does decent AoE damage (as in multiple target, either cone or AoE). -
Energy torrent is decent AoE and controlling attack, the chance of knockback if fairly high.
Conserve power is not even near-permanent, stamina is still a must.
I'm grabbing shurikens with my MA/Inv, and The hold from dark with my spine/regen, the only power that really makes the body pool useful is focused accuracy, and seeing as you're /SR you should have enough toggles draining your END already...
I'd say take shurikens, especially for the fact that so few people have them, and what's more cool than exploding shurikens? -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmm it seems what I really need is a build that can fit this all in - I really want to include CJ/SJ/Acrobatics then Kick/Tough/Weave. If anyone could post a build...btw - plus fitness.
[/ QUOTE ]Acrobatics? Why on earth would you want that for a non-fire tank?
Oh, and weave is pretty crap nowdays -
Punchvoke for henchmen, or inheret power that, when used on hench, makes that hench use taunt/provoke on it's current target (or at least make provoke work that way).
Man can dream, eh? -
TI+UY =55,1% S/L RES
TI+UY+RPD =66,9% S/L RES
TI+UY+Tough =78,7% S/L RES
TI+UY+Tough+RPD = 90,5% S/L RES
(All powers slotted with 3 +3 RES SO's)
IMO, if you REALLY want to be the king against S/L, take both tough and RPD. -
Those are all from the same arc, revenant hero project.

Spetznatz? (sorry about spelling)
[/ QUOTE ]Could be some confusion as they're enemy group in CoV... -

Robo/dark for damage, necro/dark for survivability, the rest only if you like the consept.
[/ QUOTE ]
I fail to see how necro/dark is for survivability when you can have force field
[/ QUOTE ]Dark is the ultimate secondary for everything beats others both defensively and offensively. (Darkest night and shadow fall alone are better than bubbles, and there's 7 more powers in the set)
And necromancery as primary because of the control from the henches, and ToHit debuff from attacks. -
Ouch, blaze at L35... Could you drop shadow fall to later levels? Don't find it that necessary myself...

Siphion Speed covers the recharge, so its not so bad, if it hits that is
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly. But triple-stacked Siphon Power "most of the time" in the low-20s? Even with Hasten, I'm a bit doubtful.
[/ QUOTE ]With 3 recharge and 2 acc SO's, or 1 ACC SO and tactics, yes. -
With my blapper, I use BFR for two things, as a battle opener, and to lock down bosses. the animation time makes it hard to use in battle most of the time, but it's still invaluable for boss soloing.
Of course, a corruptor gets more defensive tools, which could potentially render it useless. -
Tar patch doesnt need 3 slow IMO, drop one and put it as damage in fire blast.
Fire breath at L30?!? It's the other big gun of the set, other being fireball, take fire breath at L8, swift at 6, aim at L30 and drop rain of fire to 35.
Also, might want one recharge in fearsome stare.
Other than that, looking good. -
They both have the same magnitude, hold lt's with one go and bosses stacked, either with itself or each other. Lost lt's and bosses have some hold protection so it takes more to hold them than normal enemies.

BS is the highest possible damage output, and is also better with AoE
[/ QUOTE ]
Therefore making it a minion/leut killer.
K
[/ QUOTE ]Jus better than MA, but Not as much as spines, which is the true AoE scrapper. I believe claws also has better AoE than BS. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
That's spines/regen
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm aye I guess so.
But then were does BS/Regen excel?
[/ QUOTE ]BS is the highest possible damage output, and is also better with AoE than MA.
MA is more of a scraptroller. -
[ QUOTE ]
BS/Regen - Uber Minion/Leut' killer (?)
[/ QUOTE ]That's spines/regen you're thinking of. -
[ QUOTE ]
Scrappers get a chance (10% on most powers, usually 20% on one) of a critical hit for double damage. Their base damage is also significantly higher than a brute.
[/ QUOTE ]Not to forget that the chance to critical is higher when attacking mobs of higher rank (lt's, bosses, EB's...) -
MA and BS work for different things. IMHO, the best scrapper build is spines/regen, but they are all powerful, and excel on their own areas.
