  1. All the cool stuff happens while I'm asleep it seems. Listen, anyone have a copy of the Virtue Rulebook? Trying to find the proper protocols to set up a Task Force over here.

I guess the question is whether or not this is going to continue. So far, it looks like it's from the point of view of a Vahzilok zombie that might be more of a success on the experiment than Vahzilok ever expected.

[/ QUOTE ]And an Embalmed, from the looks of the new stuff.

    O_o

Well, I guess it's technically Tuesday. But I'm still awake from Monday. >_>

[/ QUOTE ]Meh, this is a regular occurrence for me. Bedtimes usually around 7 AM.
  4. Either a bug, or more work on getting the new boards going.

    COOL! what's the arc number?

    Here ya go:

Yeah, but I am an outsider, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No you aren't, you are one of us now.

*Bars come down on all four sides of MIA trapping him in the Rookery.*

    /e plot
    MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

[/ QUOTE ]Hm. An interesting conundrum. If I am, as you say, now a Virtuoso these bars will simply move out of the way when I ask them to. If I am NOT, then they won't and I'm still effectively trapped. With either side, I remain here.

Time to make the coin land on edge.

    *triggers Base Recall*
  7. I remember when I first rolled a Kinetics, there was one thing I quickly learned. I thought Siphon Speed was a way to get Speed Boosts effects on the Kin himself. I was only partly right. The power increases movement and recharge, but it doesn't increase Recovery. Essentially, where Speed Boost will fill a team's End bars, Siphon Speed will drain you quicker.

As far as FS/DN, it should be interesting to see how it works for you, Bad. Where DN grants almost SR like levels of defense to everything*. All Fulcrum Shift does is grant a huge damage boost to those in melee. (To the other folks here; Yes, I realize how odd it is to say it 'just' let's you kit damage cap) On the other hand, DN is a toggle, which means the minor agro caused by it would be constant, while FS will just fire and be done, leaving the mob more interested in the highly buffed people now in their midst.

*OK, 'SR like' may be a bit of an exageration, but I'm not really sure how -30% ToHit to everything compares to +45% defense with a few holes.

EDIT: Crud, just remembered that ToHit are on a different Enhancement schedule, so it's not even 30%. Sorry.

    *lumbers up from the basement*

Do I even want to know how someone got bars on a hole in inter-dimensional space? I dunno what it was made of, but I spent all morning punching it before it finally gave way.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only took me five minutes, but I headbutted my way through. There's nothing tougher or thicker than my skull.

    [/ QUOTE ]

All you had to do was ask the bars to move for you and they would have, they keep out the outsiders not the insiders.

Silly men thinking brute force is the only way things will, work.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but I am an outsider, though.

I'll be skipping Hot Feet though, I can promise you that. If that's the one I'm thinking it is.... requires you to be on the ground to use.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hot Feet does indeed require you to be on the ground to activate, but once the toggle is on there's nothing preventing you from using it while flying.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And it benefits from Containment. Which is just tasty.

[/ QUOTE ]Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm reading the Controller boards right, isn't it a large part of what MAKES Fire/Kin the powerhouse it is?

Anyone remember, I think his name was, Doug the Troll?

[/ QUOTE ]Now that you mention him, yeah.
  12. Said by Jose Brogan while on a mission from Antonio Nash:

I heard there were some Skulls sniffing around Atlas Park, but I thought it was just a rumor. You might want to see what you can dig up in this supposedly empty warehouse.

Dyne is pretty new on the streets, so nobody knows much about it. It gives users a rush of euphoria and strength, but it leaves their whole body aching afterwords. Some muscle spasms and skin diseases have even been linked to Dyne use. It looks like the Skulls are looking for a new market in which to peddle their poison.

I don't think JB ever did answer, so I am unsure why he does it.

  16. Actually, if you head into the Announcements forum and scroll down you find something rather interesting. Monday's City Scoop thread is visible, but clicking on it runs you into the 'thread deleted' page. I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

EDIT: Never mind. They have taken it all the way down since the last time I looked.
  17. Mission arc 44824: Formerly Fan Favorite, now titled Zero Entertainment: This one brings a new category to my reviews "Epic". The premise is simple. Almost all Signature Characters in one place, duking it out. The mission is Heroic, so States and crew (I think it's all of the Surviving eight) against Recluse, his Generals, THEIR Lieutenants, Sands AND Requium. At one point, the team I was on (Villains, humorously enough) were fighting four AVs at once.

One warning, though; since Allies in AE don't share rewards, the 'take' will be less than normal arcs

Mission arc 71736: Breaking the Food Chain:

This was a Villainous arc, largely revolving around the PTS. As such there's a largely Crimson-esque feel to the missions. I thought it appropriate here, given that the PTS is one of the major reveals in the early game for CoV. There is the potential for some major aerial battles, as the enemy group - to the last man - all fly, and the last two maps are both out doors.
  18. /AFK Yard exploded

It was actually at my dad's place, but what happened was the underground power lines were old, and had sort of melted together. This was causing massive power shorts directly into the ground with an accompanying BOOM! Thankfully, the power company got out there before any thing actually exploded outward, but the second boom was enough to shake the apartment complex.

The Forum Cartel would like to take this opportunity to remind you that there is no Forum Cartel.

Please see the man in the black suit and sunglasses on your way out, and don't forget to visit the concessions stand. Thank you for your cooperation.

    - Speaking of hulking brutes, remember a fellow by the name of Bruce Banner?

[/ QUOTE ]Not to mention many of the demonic folks running around would probably appreciate the ability to go from normal looking dude to huge hellish abomination. I know I've got one that falls into that category.

As for the anniversary, he didn't say he was excited about it, but he did say he was looking into it. I'd estimate that it would put that feature still at least several Issues out, but the thought is there.

  23. [ QUOTE ]
What I find odd is the fact that there are Hydra in Perez and DE in Crey's. If anything in this game looks like weird toxic waste monsters, it's the Hydra.

[/ QUOTE ]Well, the implication is that the sewer entrances in the park area are how the Kraken Hatchlings are released to the surface. As far as the DE go, they're EVERYWHERE that people are retreating from, to hasten breaking down the buildings and reclaim the area for nature. They're even in the RWZ, even though that's a much more active zone.
