yea, I'm so used to seeing the usual top bar, I didnt look for the "register" button there. lol
Loading emergency caffiene as I type. Thanks again. -
Guess it's been about 5 years or so now, but how do I log in my second account to the forums so I can copy a toon to test?
I tried both the account management login/pw and my game login/pw. -
Quote:And not counting criticals. Including them, Scrappers still stay ahead of Brutes in damage depot. The brute's new fury enables brutes to reach and maintain 70~80% Fury even in small teams. This has the casual effect that Brutes, in small teams, can out-damage a scrapper. According to somebody else (I didn't do the math), a Brute needs around ~63% Fury in order to dish out the same damage as a scrapper.

Just gotta pick your battles more carefully on straight resists vs defense (and STILL have to pick your battles on certain S/L defense sets. Just less so.)
I'm in the "S/L capped" club though, as I love having S/L layred on resists layred on regen (WillPower, [or Invul for S/L + Resists, mainly]) -
Quote:People will eventually learn to not post "fun builds" if they don't want it to be min maxed.I think you got an "honest critique" on your build and you shot it out of the water. Not sure exactly what you're looking for since you clearly like your current build.
If I had to gut the build, the MAIN thing I would change is take Energy Mastery out completely and put in Soul for Gloom and Dark Oblit. Slotting from there would vary even more, and allow for a better overall outcome imho. Still staying S/L capped (and in essence, F/E/C/N as well) with 1 in invince and still keep perma DP. My Fire/Invul had all the mentioned above and was a metric s**t ton fun to play, while proudly sporting the Master Of badges as lead on all.
Wish you luck though. Hard to critique and help a "theme" build or a "fun" build without being able to "min/max" it. Hope I perhaps helped out a wee bit in your journey to keep it thematic and better at the same time. -
Which server did you wind up creating on? We're all evil and drunk on Pinnacle (well, I'm evil, many are drunk...regardless. lol)
If you're on Pinn or Guardian, I'd be happy to do my *one* good deed for the year and show ya the ropes. -
honestly, illusion/cold is a sight to behold. Perma PA along with Phantasm, while you just throw out the debuffs and slows. The synergy is quite amazing.
-
Top. Get over the hangovers people and make some bids. lol
-
All bids start at 2B for each.
I'm gone all weekend for the New Years but I'll sort out the bids on Sunday night when I get home.
PM or posted, doesn't matter.
IO's will be crafted.
All are lvl 50.
DO NOT SEND INF before being told you won it.
Panacea +HP/+End - 3B Buy it NAO
Shield Wall: TP Resist/+3% resistance - 3B Buy it NAO
Glad Armor: TP Resist/+3% Def - 4B buy it NAO
Like I said, won't be able to check till Sunday, so happy new year everyone! -
Just an FYI -

Lvl 50. Pinnacle (Not that it matters)
Crafted.
Open bid at 2.5B.
@Lyger Zero or PM me. -
Anytime your lvl is 45+, you get the alpha bonus.
-
Christmas weekend might not have been the best time, but w/e!
I'll keep it up a bit longer and then I'll just sell it on market for 2B. -
0 for sale
2.5B starting bid.
Send PM. Pinnacle server, or whichever now with emails. Thanks! -
No worries on your opinions. thats why this is a MMO
F/C/E/N is based off S/L anyway. with 45% S/L defense, the F/C/E/N is gonna check off the S/L anyway due to them all having a S/L component. Only attacks that don't are maybe 3-4 psi attacks.
Also why Reactives > Aegis. S/L protects you against S/L/F/C/E/N, but F/C/E/N doesnt protect you against S/L.
Dmf bonus may be higher, but not by too too much. a red or 2 will counter that. Fury is plenty of damage bonus that you need. Case in point:
KoB being slotted for(gasp) Force Feedback. Slotting it with KC's will put it at ED cap anyway, so no crying. It's a damage set. The Dam/Acc nuc is cheap on the markets anyway to help with acc set.
I slotted RPD with the steadfast for the extra HP. Granted, only 22 extra, but it's something.
Combat mobility? The stealth is there as a LotG set mule, and to stealth tips. No fighting with it on. lol.
No mobility debuff
However, play style means a LOT. If your's works for you, then by all means don't let people like me change that -
Quote:He slotted it with Force Feedback. I think you were reading the previous post while typingYa that is what I thought, I do use mine for damage, and that is why I was confused as to why he slotted it with the crushing impact, thought maybe I was doing something wrong, which didnt make sense cause it is my only hard hitter, but I am also new to SS on a brute, so figured I could be wrong.
I do, however, disagree with my fellow RSF soloer though. Sorry FE but I don't condone ever slotting a high damage attack such as KoB with anything but a damage set. Plenty of options in that attack range.
Tis why we all have our own toons though. Aint gonna tell someone how to play theirs, just gonna state opinions
2x rage + fury + Damage sets = much more damage than - the damage set. -
Yes. You SHOULD be using KoB for damage, since if you don't, you may as well roll another set.
It's your hard hitter. Don't slot if for anything BUT a damage set. Almost as bad as slotting it with a hold set...ugh. Disgraceful. -
btw - I left all your power selections alone, EXCEPT for manuvers. Sorry. Didnt see the "Thematic" part, but obviously you can change it back and the sets still work (changed it for stealth for stealthing tip missions and what not)
-
Gotta head back to work REAL FAST and won't be back on till tonight, but I felt like I had to since no one has responded and I LOVE Invul. (Next to WP, the 2 are the best)
Here's what I did for you. Will explain any questions you may have later.

The Mako's are wasted slots
The Thunderstrikes are wasted slots
Temp Invul is wasted slots.
CS and Body Blow are going to have accuracy problems (ANd CS is slotted for Immob resistance?)
So will Burst
Physical Perfection is underslotted.
Few minor changes and you can soft cap, keep Unstoppable, and use that money elsewhere from the glad proc. -
Please tell me you looked at your build before giving it to someone to re-do their build as?
6 reactive armor sets?
the end mod proc in PP? ONLY the end mod proc?
Slotting an invul for regen (small bonuses, at that)
Erm... Thunderstrikes?
Pretty much only debatable thing is unstoapable. I find it gets your killed more often than not, due to the crash. Anything that can kill you with it off will with it on anyway (IE: PSI)
Also, no need for the Glad proc. If you have it, sell it for the funds for the build.

granted, inherant fitness is a blessing.
Trapdoor is not, however, difficult. One singular domi can effectively neuter his entire encounter, let alone another DPS or a meat shield. If you're on Guardian or Pinnacle, look me up and I'd be happy to show you.
Also, it's far from 10's of thousands. It seems like the more people you have on a team the more the odds of getting a shard are. During one ITF I wound up with 14 dropped on me total. Just give it a try before being so negative about it. (Says the person who's more negative in RL than anyone else he knows. lol)
