thanks, that worked (or rather, I still had period bound with it somehow)

Now, I find that in switching from my IE to my game, one of my characters UI has disappeared....

    Popular antiheroes:
    • Batman
    • Sub-Mariner
    • The Punisher
    • Rorschach
Batman is not an anti-hero. He even technically works with in the law, stretching the citizen's arrest allowances.

calling Sub-Mariner an anti-hero is something of a stretch as well, in fact, he fits the mold of a classic Greek hero (who could be both good or bad).

Rorschach and the Punisher, however, definitely are anti-heroes

Oh, just a note, thugs mastermind would be perfect for a character based on the Shadow....after all, most of his network were common people

Yes, I made this race to play with latent arachnaphobia.

Oh...and, yes, they are genetically compatiable. No, I can't even begin to figure out the mechanics behind that. Just say "shapechanging spells" and leave it.

Prerequisites: Non-Arachnae at 1st Level, Arachnae at any Level
Benefit: Choose an intelligence based skill, you may reroll that skill once per encounter.
Description: Arachnae-blooded characters have often funneled their inherited talent into very specific fields. Full-blooded Arachnae rarely find blanks in their knowledge, but some have specialized into a field such that they have even greater ability to find answers.
Special: Non-Arachnae with this feat are considered to be Arachnae for the purposes of using Items and Powers.
Appearance Effects: Arachnae-blooded characters have pure-black eyes.

    2. Do you really need clothes on her? Serious question here. If the fur is a suit over human flesh, then that can serve as clothes, and even if it's not, you can just go the typical werewolf rout and have her run around in just gender-concealing fur. It's what I did for my panda girl, and I've gotten complimented on her a few times. It might simplify the concept so it's easier to grasp in one look.

But again - unwelcome advice is unwelcome, so don't take me too seriously
The character in question was designed to use as a reference shot for a shape-shifter character in one of her forms.

Said shapeshifter has magically active nanites in her blood that allow her to shapechange and to share a current shape temporarily (til next sunrise, so last longest if initiated just after dawn).

She's a rather flirty goth girl who likes monster movies, so the shapes she takes tend to take sexy versions of said monsters. Currently has five forms "werewolf", "vampire", "mummy", "demon" and "ghost".

So, yeah, the fur is "decorative", but supposed to be part of her.

Unfortunately...I cannot link the actual images of her "sharing" her changes with various anime and video game girls as they are...decidedly...not safe for work....however, you can find them under "Goth's Transformations" in my Gallery.

by the way...I'm not sure why the one leg is tattooed blue in every picture....I think the artist just thought it looked interesting...which I'll admit it does...

It's just that necromancy sort of bothers me as I find it awfully... not sure how to express it... icky? grotesque? unheroic? selfishly inconsiderate of the dead? Whatever... it's me, not you. I'm sure you'll be wonderfully heroic and have some comforting back-story like they are really badly made automatons, or good ol' ooc obliviousness to cover it.

BTW - thanks to Dumpleberry for his snarky remark to my previous post. I couldn't help but laugh at how I'd left myself open for that.
In one of my fantasy campaigns, undead are not necessarily evil. They're split into "Ghouls" and "Ancestors".

"Ghouls" being the traditional hateful, lethal evil creatures we all see on our TV screens.

"Ancestors" being generally volunteers that have prolonged their stay on the mortal realm to accomplish some task, usually protection of a site like a graveyard.

zombies and skeletons would be simple automatons, animated bodies sans spirit. It is considered...rude, at the very least...to animate someone's corpse without properly asking the spirit for permission. As such, sanctioned rituals to do so tend to take much longer than unsanctioned ones.

However, I must admit, the vomiting, rotting undead of the necromancy set are more attend to ghouls (ancestors tend to be better preserved and less prone to carrying lethal diseases...and also less often have a physical body), but oh well.

Also, I have a heroic banshee I'm considering rerolling from blaster to mastermind

I currently have a Magic Thugs/Traps (selected magic on accident and shrugged and fit it into the descrip later) who's backstory is that she's a cat-spirit in service to Bast, one of the Eyes of Ra (basically the same job as an avenging angel in Judeo-Christian belief....ie: city-to-salt type stuff). All her minions are her brothers come to Earth in disguises. The reason they never run out of ammo is because they use magic guns.

She's supposed to be feeding Longbow information. They pay her via the occasional bank "robbery"....guess no one's noticed yet that they only take specific security deposit boxes

Positon, a tf that can be completed in 3 hours by a team with at least 1 player who knows the ins and outs, halved..
Epics unlocked at lvl 20. Lvl 20 can be reached in a few hours on a farm map, so if people (new players) were that desperate to get one they could find themselves with 1 on the day of purchasing the game.
In the time I wasted on Jay's costume thread I think movable tails was umpteenth in the list of wants. Way behind the likes of..
Monstrous faces, that didn't all look like rabid hedgehogs (Yes, a bird's head could be a monstrous one).
A back pack - that did NOTHING!!! but was there to see, at the time dismissed because of animation problems - well there's several in game now, not to mention the purchasable one, plus wings, which all cope rather well.
Movable hair, or flowing hair. Not a favourite of mine but it was highly requested.

On top of this there has once again been a failure to allow villains access to the shadow shard or a lvl 50 contact with unlimited, non-timed missions. I understand we all got excited with the content for both heroes and villains to play together, but CoV has definitely suffered neglect over recent issues content-wise. 5 minutes in the MA could solve this problem, then we move it on to the live server...

I will continue this thread later, but for now I ask you to add to the list of missed opportunities.
I17 is the free-upgrade coming along with GR.

The content is going to be in GR.

Like when CoV came out, and all the content of that Issue was in the paid expansion rather than the free update.

    That's easy, just avoid them.

It's not like they'll overwhelm the game. People thought the same when the devs announced "anime-inspired" pieces, which mostly amounted to more armor types which I've rarely seen used.

we're not going "city of furry" anymore than we went "city of anime" or "city of bondage"

we did have a brief flurry of "city of marvel" mostly because Marvel was sending people in to prove that people were stealing their characters....but even that's petered out.

If you dislike a character type, don't use it, but that's no reason to prevent other people who DO like that type to use it.

Heck, I'm a bit squicked out by all the cyborg pieces we do have, but I haven't said anything about "please don't allow more cyborgs".

    On topic:
Belts + tails at the same time? I'm liking it.
And I also hope to see at least one bushy tail added in.
My apologies....thankfully, our current costume development team has shown itself as not following the ideas of "Liefield is the pinaccle of perfect proportion". So I expect our tails to be much, much better.

Still, as ugly as Champions graphics are overall, they still can make a few good character designs:

Still on the line wether Tigra and Cheetah actually count as anthros, given they are actually humans that have aquired animal traits one way or another. Although iirc Tigra is linked to a race that are technically anthros...
The line can get confusing at times.
    In terms of attraction:

For me the line between cute non-human/alien race and unappealing anthro pretty much comes when face becomes a snout and the hands become paws.

I don't mind animal ears (it's basically no different than an elf or vulcan, just with hair). And I don't mind a tail, humans have one, it's just vestigal and not readily apparent to people not familiar with legacy biology.

Even some change to the lower body is minimally acceptable...mermaids, nagas, etc...

I will admit to creating a race of drider-like people with a sort of ivory-tower-sage type culture and made them interbreedable with other races in the game (all the races were interbreedable, actually and the arachnae were almost left out of that except I'd already said I'd make all races compatiable...)....I have never thought about the mechanics of a drider-human match, and I'm not about to start now...I usually handwaved it as "shapechanging magic" and stopped there.

Historically, human methods of creating/imagining alien races is basically the following:

    A) change colorations (orion slave girls)
    B) change proportions (elvish ears)
    C) add animal bits (Greek mythicals, Celtic mythicals, Japanese mythicals, Egyptian mythicals, Judeo-Christian mythicals, oh heck, just bloody pick a culture)

Heck, Klingon is basically human + fangs + dinosaur-like bone ridges.

    But....

they still have a basically human face....

So for me too much past Gold Digger:

    wererat
    werecheetah
    werewolf

    to, say this:

    wererat
    werecats
    werewolf

And I generally no longer see that form as human.

Even then, it's not disgusting, just...not close enough to human.

    Anyway:

    Cute Non-Humans:

This is even better than animated tails.

So many of my characters lose their tails in some costumes and I have to pull an excuse like "oh it's wrapped around her stomach like a belt" because that's all I can use to explain it.

    Bushy Tails

Most dogs do not have narrow tails. Most are quite bushy, with a few exceptions. Accordingly, there aren't many tail options for canine-themed characters.

I personally have a Racoon-themed character, so a striped texture on a bushy tail would be fantastic. I imagine that there are quite a few fox-themed character who'd appreciate a 'point' texture.

    Thank you for your consideration.
    Bushy would be good for:

squirrels (the famous beat-everyone Squirrel Girl of Marvel Comics maybe?)
skunks (Asrial from Ninja High School)
foxes (any of a number of characters from myth, legend and comics all over the world...Reynard, Kitsune, the Foxes of Aesop...etc)
    wolves (werewolves)
dogs (rifts dog boys...would also appreciate less snarly heads in that regard)
    raccoons (or tanukis)

    so on and so forth
