It's nice that I'm now expected slot and spam an attack that still does terrible damage for the "privilege" of buffing the damage of the Scrapper/Brute next to me who gets to laugh behind my back at the damage I do, in addition to protecting them and making sure they don't even have to feel their lower defenses and experience any kind of drawback or trade off for their damage. /extra sarcasm
There's a quick answer to this problem: don't play tank, it's not aimed at the playstyle you enjoy.

heck, the easiest way to beat Ghost Widow is to have a tank lead her in a game of ring around the rosy without getting closer than taunt range so that she never triggers her heal and everybody else pounds on her

run and gun is possible in this game...you just need to practice it

if I understand right, the patch is just that he doesn't leave the room anymore...so, he'll be just as hard for me as he was the first time, when I beat him without dying and without leading him out of the room, solo...without really even being in danger the whole fight...it was a long fight, and required a specific strategy that it gave you a lot of clues for, but it wasn't impossible or even really hard once you figured it out

first time I did that mission as a team, we charged into the room, I put myself on clone hunting and, twenty seconds later the battle was over with me only ever finding one clone
  4. I got caught up in looking for part-time work as well as my finishing some writing contract projects and was so far only able to get my fire-blaster to 11, as such, might bow out myself...sorry
  5. hmm, maybe I can update Smaugdottir's look and get her over level 8 by then...

I'd almost consider rerolling her as either a dom or a corruptor if that wouldn't make it almost impossible to have her involved by friday...without a LOT of powerleveling and plowing through content

hmmm, haven't noted the Sleeper, and yeah, I'm surprised I didn't think of the Khelds

I did recognize the Zerg-Protoss parallels between the DE and the Rikti as well.

huh, my love/hate relationship is with the sudden endurance burning when you're suddenly clicking through powers faster than you need to.

I considered getting hasten for my BS/SR, but she's already at an inherent 45% recharge boost and that's more than enough for her to always have an attack on hand, in fact, she rarely uses all her attacks anymore...

Hasten would improve her build up and elude recharge times, but that's it...not really worth the endurance burn....

Oh, I don't dislike the auras...I just felt it was an odd departure from the to-date party line on what natural is.

Personally, I prefer Natural for my sorcerers and magicians because the end enhancement set for magic involves gathering power directly from various entities, which is a rather specific variety of magic myself. I prefer the Dresden approach where it is your own force of will, not the favor of Hermes or something.
  12. Sooooo

Natural isn't about martial arts, guns and training anymore?

It's about the fury of nature?

Crossroads was all but abandoned for a while, recently has new management and they're trying to build it up again starting with a moderately ridiculous new name.

Ooples is pretty awesome though...lots of cool shirts.

  15. For anybody in the San Antonio area or going to be in the San Antonio area this weekend, the manga/anime/memorabilia store "Ooples" is celebrating its recent expansion with a grand opening this weekend.

    http://ooples.com/

Ooples is located at the "Wonderland of the Americas" Mall, which most of us locals know as the Crossroads mall at Loop410 and I10. They're in the Marketplace portion of the mall near the center of the area, by some green and pink columns, I think.

They're having games, tournaments in various card and video games.

And I'm going to be there to sell and sign my books as well.
  16. I tend to wonder sometimes if imagination is simply a glimpse at an alternate reality. In which case, I'm not really responsible for their suffering, I'm just witnessing it.
  17. I played out of Korea from third-wave beta through to launch and then until 2005 when I came back to the States...I had no problem doing that at all.

In addition, if latency is what causes command lag and rubberbanding, I get that frequently here in San Antonio, Tx
