You, my good sir, may appreciate some of these.
  2. O.O

    Were they girl-slap-fighting?

    That's awesome.

Great job. I'd watch a series.

My last question is .... WHAT THE HECK IS "ED" ? I have seen this all over the boards since I got back, but no poster has explained what it means.

    [/ QUOTE ]

ED is the Devs' secret plan to eat babies and take over the whole world of underground "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" cosplay.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Don't forget the Kitten Fires.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You and your Kitten Fires. *sniff, sniff*

Egads, another one. Someone call the Feline Fire Brigade!

  5. I do love it when people get to a'thinking that announcing the contents of their ignore list is how one goes about being "cool".

NO THAT IS NOT HIS POST...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good grief.

    I KNOW.

THE OTHER IS THE POST I WAS REPLYING TO, WHICH WAS ITSELF A REPLY TO THE SMALLER REPLACEMENT POST.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME YET? OR SHOULD I SHOUT LOUDER?

    [ QUOTE ]
If he wasn't hiding it why did he delet it and then shove a poorly worded one in its place....

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll leave the obvious quip about "poorly worded" alone for a moment.

"Hide" is a fairly silly motive. "Decided not to be petulant" would be a far more likely one.

Ummmmm thats NOT what his Post first said

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I know. So? Here's the entirety of the post I responded to:

Just to compare: we haven't launched in Asia.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is that the only point in my post you feel needs addressed? *shrug* Okay, fine. If you think you can gain 3 million in Asia to catch up go for it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thanks for playing anyway.

apparewntly the second post he did in haste to hide the first...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ooh, mindreading. Do me! Do me! What color am I thinking of?

I'm frankly surprised he found that part worth replying to.

I like this whole "competition" thingie you've got going, though. It's entertaining, to say the least. Maybe it needs a catch-phrase, though; y'know, to keep it current and popular?

Because Economic Competition is a Zero-Sum Game!

Keep in mind that a really good central gathering place similiar to Atlas park hasn't developed in COV. People just don't seem to gather in Fort Darwin like they do under the statue of Atlas.

Thank all that is good and holy...
  10. I hate the Mancusans.

I mean, I hate the Groovies and the Bizarros, too, but I really, really hate the Mancusans.

  12. [Dim of the yard] Enough of your clever talk, you think you're so smart. Well, I'm Dim! [/Dim of the yard]

  13. [the colonel] See here, this thread is being kept alive specifically for one poster to complain about things that weren't accurate, or rather, that didn't match up with his specific wonky-view of accuracy, regardless of reality. Not for all you left-leaning types to muck about with your logic and facts, you see? [/the colonel]
  14. [the colonel] I say, I say now, stop that. The British Army has got quite a lot on its plate at the moment without all this silly post-padding to muck up the issues. [/the colonel]
  15. [the colonel] And you there, cease that ridiculous post-padding right this instant. We shall have none of that silliness anymore. [/the colonel]
  16. [the colonel] Alright, stop that. Stop that now. This entire thread has gotten entirely too silly. [/the colonel]

First, the movie was filmed mostly in Minnesota about 3 hours from Fargo,

    [/ QUOTE ]
..and set primarily in Brainerd and the Twin Cities. The only part of "Fargo" that takes place in Fargo is the meeting at the very beginning, IIRC.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
That'd be a bit like suggesting there were historical inaccuracies in Washington's Cherry Tree story. Sure he was real, but the story isn't anyway. By the same token Wallace was real, but whether you view him as a bandit or rebel ((or anywhere in-between) is strictly a matter of who's telling the story, as most of it is largely legend.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, it's closer to the Cherry Tree story than that (i.e., the guy was real, the story, though based on some real events, is fiction)
  19. My goodness, this new zone is going to be so crowded after I5 hits...
  20. For me it's usually just some random thought that I get exposed to somewhere. My brain then takes that thought and extrapolates it out to the most absurd, ridiculous, fantastical extreme imaginable(this may or may not be with my conscious consent). I then back the line of thought off a bit from that gobbledy-[censored] and wind up with something that works.

    [ QUOTE ]
When the above process fails me, I inflict head wounds upon myself... this never fails.

I hear ya, you old Sumerian King, you. I used to do that, but gave up after all I got was the voices in my head repeating the phrase "stop hitting yourself" in a distinctly petulant and mocking tone.
  21. This is, I just wanted to say quickly, a fascinating read, guys.

That being said, I can't let this go by any further:[ QUOTE ]
For all known facts, Judaism adopted the idea of the good/evil duality during the time of Babylonian captivity. There, they were exposed to Persian Zoroasrianism which centered around the duality of light/good as embodied by Zoroaster (Zarathustra) and dark/evil as embodied by Ahrimaan.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The light/good embodiment in Zoroastrianism was Ahura Mazda, not Zoroaster. Zoroaster (or Zarathrustra the Spitama) was the "prophet" who started the religion in the first place, and was himself just a mortal persian(or Medean, I don't recall exactly) magi who, in addition to founding a religion, was an adviser of Cyrus.

Sorry about the nit pick. Please, carry on.
  22. I have, once again, updated my CoH Movies Page. If you don't see a link to your movie there, it's because I couldn't find one here. If you'd like it added, however, please send me a PM with the link you'd like me to use.

    Thanks a bunch.

Yeah.. because I, the married one with a 7 month old got 21/21

And I, also married, with a 10 month old daughter, got the same score.
