That should be all the information you need to answer your question.

I just noticed my storm MMs 'Gale' roots me the same way when I'm out of range. Old bug returning?

So does my scrappers headsplitter. Seems to be quite widespread. -
Would be interesting to see that screenshot. A spawned rubble should do hardly any damage in comparison to its 'parent'. I've certainly never seen it happen.

Could've done without the sidewalks being left completely untended by the council, and becoming rather treacherous in places.

It's safer to walk on the soft stuff on the verges, when snow gets compacted it turns to ice and that's not easy to walk on.
I don't remember them ever treating paths though, only roads. Probably to do with getting sued - if a car crashes it's always the drivers fault, if a pedestrian falls on his face it's always the councils fault.
I don't like snow personally, I grew up with it and the novelty wore off many years ago. -
I've always hunted them outside as well. Hasten speeds the recharge of the wand up noticeably. It's hardly a challenge though is is, sitting there idle with the wand on auto waiting for it to recharge - all you have to do is hit tab to select the next target each time it fires and otherwise leave it alone. Boring as hell to be honest.

Agreed. It does look very nice with the graphics settings turned up. I gennerally turn them up when I'm soloing and turn them back down again when in large teams. There are so many fancy but performance sapping effects on those show off heroes and villians these days.

Why do the devs need to know?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because they're the only ones who can do anything about it. If nearly everybody drops a particular mission, there's obviously something seriously wrong with it, they could make some changes. -
[ QUOTE ]
I reckon less than 5% of missions are dropped because they are bugged.
The Bug command is adiquate to deal with those, without wasting the time of the other 95%.
[/ QUOTE ]
Still worth knowing why people don't want to complete missions though surely? If the majority of the people drop a particular mission for the same reason, that indicates something that the devs ought to be interested in, even if it's not a bug.
I drop missions if they get ridiculously frustrating. I had one to find 26 hostages in a massive conplicated CoT cave. 26 was just silly and I didn't want to be doing it all week, gave up after the first half dozen took 20 minutes. -
Swearing is an impulse thing for me so although my monitor and mouse get some abuse, I don't type it out. By the time I've typed anything the red mist has cleared
-
It surprises me that a dialog box doesn't pop up asking for comments when dropping missions. A brief comment detailing the reason for dropping the thing would be useful input for the devs. There's a reason people drop missions - inportant information I'd have thought.

What is it about snow that makes our country collapse so? The good news is I get to spend a while longer at my friends, but damn it's annoying.

The 'authorities' won't spend the money required to deal with events that they've been told won't happen very often ('cos it's getting warmer...) -
This must be the effect of that new global warming religion.
You know, the one where:
if it warms up it's due to global warming
if it gets colder it's due to global warming
if it rains it's due to global warming
if it doesn't rain it's due to global warming
if it snows it's due to global warming
if it doesn't snow it's due to global warming
if it's windy it's due to global warming
ad flamin' infinitum... -

we are supposed to be getting anything up to 20cm of snowfall tonight here in the UK
[/ QUOTE ]
Well it did snow but we had closer to 20mm than 20cm in Milton Keynes. It has just started snowing again, quite large flakes too so if that keeps up all day we might reach their target. I don't have to go anywhere so it doesn't bother me - looks quite nice actually - but those who have to go to work today are probably not too happy.
People (most of them) have lost the art of driving in bad conditions like heavy snow. I had to drive home in about 5 inches of the stuff in a little Renault 5 Turbo many moons ago. I didn't squeeze one wheelspin from that ferocious little front wheel drive car. You see BMW's today with their rear wheels spinning in an inch of the stuff as their drivers plant their foot in the carpet.
Anyway, I'm not building a snowman, it's cold out there... -
Good cross section of preferred AT's there. Just as well we're all different otherwise we'd have a City of Tanks or City of Stalkers and that really WOULD be boring

Can't stand anything that can't solo well when no teams are available (this happens).
You know, Controllers, half of the Defender or Corruptor buff sets..
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry? Controllers can't solo well? Since when? -

trollers, i rather kill then sit around setting a heal skill on auto play.

lol if that's the way you played a controller I'm not surprised you gave up on it. -
One persons bad language is another persons everyday method of speech.
I hope you're not relying on the filter to tell you when people are swearing at you though - it lies like a cheap rug. -
Tankers and dominators. I have one of each and have difficulty with them. Tankers because I don't understand the beasts. Dominators because I just don't like them.
If you need just one, it'll be the dominator. That'll be the one to go when I need a new slot. -

A search engine decided that every site should be marked as a no-go area.

When Google updated the list on Saturday, it mistakenly flagged all sites as potentially dangerous.
[/ QUOTE ]

Mistake or not, the result was the same. Since Google exists to serve search results to customers (and makes a hell of a lot of money doing so). UNder the circumstances you'd imagine their people would be a bit more careful when uploading ban lists and such things to their servers. You could understand it affecting a small mumber of sites but the entire internet is rank stupidity. -
"The internet search engine works with stopbadware.org to ascertain which sites install malicious software on people's computers and merit a warning.
The list of malevolent sites is regularly updated and handed to Google.
When Google updated the list on Saturday, it mistakenly flagged all sites as potentially dangerous."
So there you go. A search engine decided that every site should be marked as a no-go area. Bit like the companies who create the lists of sites that other companies buy for their corporate filters. A complete waste of time and space. -
Don't use google myself, miss it like a hole in the head.

Some things just don't gel, when that happens to me I recover as much of the inf as I can (if I remember) to transfer to another toon and start over. Have you tried creating an alternative build with different powers and slotting to see if that makes any difference to the way it feels to you?
This post is probably going to sound a bit negative from here so you might want to stop reading if you intend to keep your toon
I have an archery/energy blaster which has been fun to play. I usually just get within striking distance of a group of mobs. Buildup (which you won't have due to the devices secondary), aim, rain of arrows, explosive arrow - there's usually little left but bosses after that which can be cleared up with the other attacks. Without buildup, that just doesn't work because you don't have the damage output required and you end up with lots of angry mobs on your tail. The energy secondary gives some useful melee attacks for those pesky things that get in close - something severely lacking in devices unless you have a week to lay a few trip mines.
I think the secondary has a huge effect on a blasters usefulness, possibly greater than any other AT I've played but I don't really know how to advise on how to make devices work with arrows. They are at the opposite ends of the spectrum concept wise for me and I would never have considered using them together.
Looking at devices purely from the usefulness of the power set - I, personally, wouldn't touch it with a barge pole these days - there's just nothing there that other sets don't do better, except maybe the caltrops but I wouldn't take what I considered a pretty useless power set just for a handfull of caltrops. I made an AR/Dev blaster years ago (pre-ED) which was great fun, wouldn't create a new one after ED hit though and even after the changes they've made to the sets to compensate, it's still not the fun it once was.
I'm sure you can work through this if you really want to, get in some good teams and the levels will fly by. But, if you're not enjoying playing it, maybe it's time for a rethink on that one. -
Never noticed it before to be honest. I bugged it anyway, it's annoying.
-
CoT ghosts are proving a bit problematic with knockup powers like Disembowel. They get knocked up into he air then fall back down with a thump onto what appears to be an invisible level, unfortunately that's out of the scrappers reach without a really good jump.
-
Oh, was it yours? Sorry
Was very nice though...
Happy birthday...
