I'd like to see the self destruct power either be interruptible or have a more obvious icon in the power tray, it looks pretty innocuous but once clicked you're dead. Needs a big red skull and crossbones so those of us who forgot where we put it don't keep comitting suicide

It's perfect as power armour and that's how I've been using it. I just wish AR didn't suck so bad.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's fine as long as you don't combine it with /devices, which is a great shame because they gel together perfectly conceptually. I got my AR/Dev to 50 just before ED made it so boring to play I stopped bothering with it. Since then the inventions system has helped a bit but it still lacks the accuracy/damage of other blasters. Something that a handful of caltrops doesn't really make up for... -
[ QUOTE ]
The good griefers, sure.
The bad ones will roll a Warshade because they don't realise how easy it is to find someone's Global handle.
[/ QUOTE ]
Whatever they do, I just ignore them. They always go away after a while if nobody rises to the bait. -

Sonic seems like a weak power
[/ QUOTE ]
I take it you haven't met "The Radio" as an opponent yet then? It uses sonics, strangely enough, when I came up against it with my MM, it wiped out all my pets and half killed my toon with just two blasts. Weak it ain't...not when used by an EB anyway -
I'd say it depends on the person playing the toon. I don't get on with tanks or warshades at all so to me they're the hardest to play. I love blasters and find them easy to play yet there are some (strange) people out there that don't.

Your ranged attack powers simply DO NOT NEED any KB enhancement.
[/ QUOTE ]
They certainly don't! If you're teamed, it's a good idea to try to knock mobs towards walls or other objects otherwise your ears will be burning from all the names the scrappers are calling you -
[ QUOTE ]
This is what i was told when I petitioned it.
"Thank you for contacting the PlayNC Customer Support team. Please note that your character will need to be in the correct level range in order to receive this power."
Ouroboros sounds best place to get it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I suppose that's not unreasonable. There shouldn't be a reward for stomping on something far below your level -
[ QUOTE ]
Doesn't AR Snipe gain a bonus to Damage when paired with Devices Targetting Drone to make up for the lack of Build up and Aim? With properly slotted targeting drone you won't miss aim at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't know to be honest. My snipe still misses often enough to be annoying in spite a full set of IO's plus the drone. Plus of course other blasters can shoot off a whole chain of attacks before build up runs out.
My AR/Dev blaster is FAR more usable than it was just after ED. The IO's seem to have made a huge difference. Course they probably make other AT's even more powerful but at least it's fun to play again. -
Something to bear in mind if you go the 'AR/Devices' route is that you miss out on both build up and aim. That's a very serious handicap compared to any other blaster. With devices you get a targetting drone which does absolutely nothing to make up the shortfall. It's a toggle which gets dropped at the faintest hint of a sleep or stun half a light year away.

Calamity's bio reads "Happiness is a pocketful of shells..."
She's an Ar/Dev blaster - what more would you need? -

IMHO the mission creator will appeal to about 10 people after the hype has died down, then we'll be left with an empty issue, gg devs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe, maybe not. Lets at least wait till it appears (on the live servers!) and we've seen what we can do rather than dismissing it out of hand at this early stage. -
[ QUOTE ]
Just cleared the mission on my lvl 35 scrapper and no temp power either, perhaps you do need to be in range now.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, if that's not a bug it's going to be a bit of a bummer. If you help other people with their missions and out level yours as a result, you're stuffed. Looks like we're going to have to be really careful about getting the same missions at the same time as team-mates. Either that or there's going to be a hell of a lot of soloing going on in future! -
[ QUOTE ]
I have, in my 3+ years of playing this game, never seen a GM. Nor have i talked to one in game.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can confirm they do existI've needed help from a GM twice. Once I fell through the floor of the Pocket D lift and ended up floating in space unable to even use a portal (you get interrupted constantly - must be the lack of oxygen). Second time I fell through the ground in Talos after colliding with a perfectly innocuous looking shrub. There was nobody around so I asked for help. Before the GM answered, someone visited Talos and teleported me back to normality.

I was going to make some sort of joke about someone trying to pass themselves off as a giant monster but this is quite a serious issue
-
[ QUOTE ]
I want GMs to be rare enough that they'll still be a treat after years of playing --
[/ QUOTE ]
Better do sommething about the pathetic risk-reward ratio then. I don't bother with GM's now unless someone wants a badge. They're simply not worth the effort at the moment. -

There still seem to be just as many Tanks as other ATs running around, so that might mean that there is a good balance, and no AT is more popular than any other.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tio my knowledge Tanks have always been the least played AT on the heroes side apart from the kelds. And, to my mind strangely, blasters are the highest.
[/ QUOTE ]
Think it takes a particular type of mindset to play a tank well. I've tried a few times and failed miserably. Decided to just stick to what I can do, controller and blaster type AT's.
I sitll think that ED was a massive problem to my AR/Dev blaster but the more recent defiance has helped to mitigate the effect a bit. It's still my least played toon whioch is a shame since it was my first 50.
Not sure about other melee toons to be honest, I have a BS/regen scrapper which I still play (yes, with MoG) but melee weas never something I really enjoyed that much. I just hope that one day something will happen to devices to make it fit together with AR a bit better. -
Don't know. I've let them die too often and they no longer talk to me...

I'm about to make myself very unpopular, but the voice acting in "Donuts" was awful.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well what do you expect? It's Fusionette...she's as thick as a plank. Must be or she wouldn't have to be rescued every five minutes -
A similar thing that annoys me, and it would be so easy to overcome with an appropriate flag, is that you've carefully put yourself in a nice position, got the pose (sitting or crouching or whatever) right and someone comes along and casts a buff on you. The animation instantly destroys the pose you've set up.
I know that developers of games love fancy effects and things, and so do we, but there's a time and a place for everything. Frankly a level 50 loafing around under the Atlas statue doesn't need a buff from a passing lvl 5 defender.
The buff obviously can't be avoided but how about being able to turn the animation off? -
The sky clouds over and you run for cover thinking there's a Rikti raid on...

After playing a warshade to lvl 45 and a pb to lvl 26 (then deleting), i just cant bring myself to make a PB . . . . . imo the WS just destroys it even though i know my PB was pretty darn good
[/ QUOTE ]
Good thing they both exist, I found the exact opposite. I like my PB and got it to 50. Tried a WS three times now, just don't like them at all. Deleted my third one in the 30's, not going to try it again - it just doesn't suit my style of play.
That's why we have a large choice, we are all different and like different things. If someone telle me I must be a farmer because I have a fire/rad controller I'll just mentally mark them as an idiot and get on with playing my toon the way I want. It'd probably just be jealousy anyway, fire controllers are pretty powerful little beasts... -
I think the problem is the way they've programmed the thing, it seems to bunch your misses together so you notice them more.
-
[ QUOTE ]
This problem is extra fun when it appears on a TF. Especially in one of the final missions. No easy resetting a mission there without wasting hours of effort.
Best thing would be to have a button to finish the mission regardless of one or to mobs unaccounted for. Perhaps at the cost of the mission bonus.
[/ QUOTE ]
Be better if they didn't get stuck in the first place. This bug in various forms has been around for ages. -
I used to prefer Sands of Mu but it misses too often and you're rooted to the spot for what feels like a lifetime while flailing relentlessly at thin air.
Having been here for too long, I get the choice of the Black Wand or Nemesis Staff as well. Since I don't need the extra attack because I already get one with the wand or staff, I've started taking the Slaying Axe instead. It really helps with those immensely annoying CoT ghosts. -
[ QUOTE ]
Reminds me of a story roughly about a year ago when I was in a team happily teaming away when someone new joined mid mish. He ran onto the mission map into a patch of uncovered territory and promptly died, thus causing him to call us all Noobs and quit the team.

The temptation to send him a tell thanking him for the best laugh of the day might have been difficult to resist...
