I'm worried the most about Romy. That's always where we have problems at. I hope I can get a good tank and a second debuffer on my team <hint, hint guys!>.

I was thinking of bringing my stone tank or I could bring my rad. (Both 50s)
[/ QUOTE ]
Oooh, Bring your tankPretty please
I trust you to tank Romy. I think Scruffy and I can debuff him ok, but I definately want a solid tank on board for my team
If my SG mates come, one of them will probably be on a tank, but I'll tell him to stay towards the back.. he plays his tank like a scrapper
Edit: You'll probably be exemped down to 40-42ish on my team. Is that okay? -
Maybe I need a refresher before Monday. Care to run one MB sometime this weekend on other toons? Just give me a shout.

I think this is going to be a fun TF to run.
It's not often I do it without Tabby, so I might just start screaming forward like a wild and crazy kitty. It should be interesting to see what happens. lol
I think I should still be able to "break" Rom though... I guess we'll see.
[/ QUOTE ]
I Love this TF! But I'm pretty nervous about it as well. As me and you have discussed before MB, I've got an iffy track record of about 50/50 success rate on teams I've been on. I'll be relying on E's and Xort's advice for leading my team, but I'm still nervous this will end up as another one that my teams fails
Plus I *may* have a few members of my SG along on my team, so it might be a bit interesting because they do not always listen to directions.

Ok just a general note guys, If I forgot to auto sign up someone that had told me to, Sorry! Just list your name again
Also for the people I auto-signed up, if you want to change toons, or if I got your level ranges wrong, just let me know! I was working off of my memory, which is not great sometimes.

Update...
Left Hand: after the stitches were pulled today

Sore...
Some aspects feel better, some worse than the right hand.
I guess, for the most part it is different, but similar.
The doctor did remark that it was healing quickly.

It "looks" like it's healing better if that means anything -

When I played it I was on a team of two, and the 6 allies did make things die VERY quickly. I think 4 would work just as well.
They all stayed alive until the final room. And yeah it was a little hairy in there, and all but one panda died. I died too (was on my defender), but we were able to regroup and took the boss down without much of a problem.
I think either way (4 or 6) would be fine. Like I mentioned in my feedback, if they get in the way, it's always pretty easy to run faster than them and "lose" them. Having them along is about like running a Mastermind
Keep up the great work!

Heya Luna:
If you can do that on Villainous and Rugged for a back-to-back comparison, I'd be grateful. My access to Doms of 20+ is now restricted (account cancelled). =/
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure Not a problem. It'll probably be tomorrow afternoon by the time I get it ran twice. I'll drop you feedback ingame with my results each time I run it

<QR>
I've got a mid 30's dom I've been wanting to work on, so I'll run this arc either tonight or tomorrow afternoon on the villian equivalent of Rugged to see what happens. I'll probably die some, cause that tends to happen to me, but she's an Earth Dom, so I should be able to lock that boss down and get him taken care of. I'll let you know the results.

I think it's a great story arc Shadowrush! While it has a great story, it's very cute and funny where it should be
I did not notice anything in the grammer, spelling, writing that should be corrected. I usually do notice this part, because when I play it's usually w/ my husband and since he cannot read what the contact is saying, I read it aloud to him. Usually when something is poorly written, it pops up quite noticably when read aloud.
The custom critters are cute. For Panda's they are quite appropriate.
The 6 allies in the final mission might be a bit too many, but they are easy to lose if you do not want them to tag along. A few times I did leave them in the hallway and then went back to pick them up.
I think when we played it we had a few deaths, but both toons were a little squishy (Blaster and Defender). I think all the deaths happened when we didn't notice a Communications Officer and he then summoned a horde of Conscripts.
I really like your arcs Shadowrush. I hope they get MA or Hall of Fame so you can create more!

I'm convinced that my husbands eyebrows are going to turn into living creatures by the time he's old. Think wooly worm type critters. They are already starting to get unruly and he's only 33 -

Mateo: Not a spoiler really, like I said, it's just more insight on how I shorthand stuff. Maybe I should do intentional easter eggs in my arcs?
Update: I'm kinda concerned about a bunch of comments I got yesterday on the first boss (mish 1, at the end) being too hard (causing the players to walk away). I got about 5 of them yesterday, but nothing else was mentioned at all last week (mostly it's about the Lieutenants).
I haven't played it yet to confirm, but anyone have opinions with their boss fight on the first map? I tested with 3 different toons (controller, blaster, scrapper), and I did fine each time, but I was also on Heroic to Unyielding at the time.
Lemme know, I have an update finalized excepting this bit, more feedback would be good.
[/ QUOTE ]
The final boss on mission 1 only gave me a problem one time (I think I've played your arc about 3-4 times so far?). The one time I had a problem, I was on a squishy toon with my husband on his tank. He aggro'd a patrol in that room, and I aggro'd the boss. I went to help him w/ the patrol (I was higher level and he was having a hard time). By the time we got to the boss, he had all his buddies out to play with, and they slaughtered us. I'm pretty sure we were on Heroic.
Still not bad though. Just make sure you concentrate on the boss first, and leave surrounding mobs for later... -

I wrote Sunglare/Mizel to be bisexual, so the attraction isn't limited strictly to gender. NO, you won't be bazoinking in arc 3.
This might be a good time to ask: Any females care to comment on how I played her off? Handled well? Clumsy?
Solowise, some people have no problems with them; others get frustrated. I hear all of you on it (I've been logging comments for review!), and I promise that a tweak-up to address that one big concern is in play.
[/ QUOTE ]
Giving feedback as a female (in game and out): While the text referenced above did surprise me when I came across it, I do not feel it is out of place.
Trying to put this in a way that is not spoiler-y..... After I read it, and thought about it for a sec, it seemed appropriate for the character. She was very lonely, and she wanted to connect with another human being that had come to mean something to her. Gender did not matter to her. I say go with the flow...
As for those Lt's spamming Spectral Terror, it was slightly annoying, but after playing a different arc last night where every minion spammed glue patches to slow you, I have to think that the Spectral Terror's are not that bad lol.
The first time I played your arc I was on Luna - Dual Blade/Regen Scrapper with the Fighting Pool. She's pretty sturdy. The Spectral Terror's slowed me down, but wasn't horrible. I died twice in the final mission when the ambush spawned. Still not too bad.
Last night I played through part of it, on my Dark/Ice Defender with my husband's baby tank. We did okay except for the part in the first missions where he aggro'd the boss and I aggro'd a patrol all at the same time. Things got a little nasty and I died of course. Still not unreasonable.
Gonna say it again, great arc Turg! Get to work on the next parts

If I'm not mistaken, once you're on a team, you can see the mish details and dialog if you click on the little 'i' just left of the mish name in your nav compass.... at least, I think it shows all of the dialog and such that you're talking about.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heya,
You see "some" of the dialogue, unfortunately, and not all. For instance, the mission closing text for a success or fail, which is what I'm using to cram in the conversational style with the main protagonist.
The "I" on the mission compass, or the "more" button on the Missions list, will get you the Mission Offer and the Mission Accept, but yeah, it's not complete. That's why I'm selling this as a primarily solo arc, for story purposes.
What IS nice, however, is that you CAN cut and paste from the mission success/fail window and post it into Team Chat, for everyone to read. So, if you have a thoughtful team leader, you're in good shape!
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, good idea Turg! I had not thought about that. I'll play around with it tonight when I run my SG mates through your arc. -
Love the arc Turg. You had quite a fan following last night on the Freedom chat channels
. Absolutely LOVE the poster for this. That is Awesome!
I just wish the devs could create a way for every member of a team to be able to see all the dialog from the contact. There is some great writing in there that really should not be missed. Maybe one day

lol, maybe that's my problem! I opened the pic before lunch. I read the discussion of pulling out stiches DURING lunch. Blah! -
Ok, A picture of Mr. E's bloody hand didn't bother me, but Turg and Rose's talk of pulling out stitches is really making my stomach do little flip flops
. How messed up is that?

Uhm wow, that looks painful! How are you playing this game again? -
Luna de Nocturne - Dual Blade / Regeneration Scrapper - Dinged 50 on July 25, 2008
Midnight Gale - Illusion / Storm Controller - Dinged 50 on February 8, 2009
Started playing the game on February 28, 2008, so two 50's in less than a year. Yah! -
Ah hah! I see now
I was always under the impression that they were kind of one and the same. Thanks for setting me straight
Good to know for future base upgrades!
-
I thought there was a timer on how often the same two toons could kill each other and have it count? Did that change? Or am I remembering wrong?

Base Repricing
1. How will the repricing of bases affect you personally?
I am the base designer for 3 bases: One medium sized base with 50 toons amongst 5 accounts with 5.8 million total prestige, and two small bases with 15 toons each with about 400,000 prestige each. The base repricing will be great for the larger SG. We will be moving from the 8x8 square to a 12x16 with everything we could ever functionally need added to the group. The two small SG's will get ZERO benefit from the change at this point because the basic power and control needed beyond the Combo Power Unit is still beyond our price range.
2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the repricing?
The 2 small bases no, because we cannot afford anything additional at this time. The larger base will be mostly dismantled so that I can move into a larger spot and reorganize our inspiration and enhancement storage. I am also taking this opportunity to switch from a tech look to an arcane look.
3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice?
I figure I will be working on the base for at least a few full days afterwards.
4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding repricing? Positive: It's great for groups that are established to help them get things that they were struggling to get. Negative: It does nothing to help groups just starting out. We still have to struggle just to get the basic items.
5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term?
In the long term it will be great to add lots of cool stuff to the base and be able to afford everything. In the short term for the smaller groups it sucks having nothing become more affordable and still facing a struggle to get established. There is less incentive to play the smaller groups because their bases pale in comparision to the main group.
Base Salvage Exchange to Invention Salvage
1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation?
It will be more costly, and SG mates will not want to contribute salvage to the base any longer. Any salvage needed to craft will all be coming out of my pocket.
2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation?
None as far as I'm concerned.
3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system?
I've already learned it, it is not that complicated, just annoying.
4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system?
Market prices will become insane on some items. I dread having to explain the change in salvage needed for buffs from the Enchanting Crucible to SG mates, as well as explaining merits, etc. For people who does not follow the threads, this issue will be very confusing to my SG mates.
5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change?
None personally. I think the change in how much salvage the storage bin can hold is idiotic at best. Because they hold so little, I'm not going to even bother putting them back into the base. Everyone will just have to carry what they need to use which will probably mean the end of anyone in our group using the Enchanting Crucilble for buffs.
Additional Comments
Please consider lowering the costs of the basic power and control rooms and items beyond the combo power unit. Please consider lowering costs on ALL basic rooms to help smaller bases. The price changes on larger rooms are great and I will enjoy expanding my larger group. However my smaller groups will get ZERO benefit. If it is not possible to lower the price of the basic rooms and items, please consider issuing a prestige grant. Even a small one of 500,000 total would mean a world of difference at this point in getting small groups established with basic power, control and teleporters. -
