Hey E, you running one of these next Thurday, or taking that day off? I'm asking because I'm going to setup a Kahn TF for either Thursday or Friday of next week, and I don't want to conflict with this if you are running it

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, my husband gets up at 5:30, and I'm up at 6am each morning, so the staying up late is kinda rough. But it's fun! Just keep the caffeine or energy supplement of your choice handy for the next day!

I'm now waiting for them to increase the max count per server to more than 36

I've tried other servers, and Freedom is home for me. Maybe if a group of people I play with here were on another server and played regularly there, I would give it a shot. But for now, it was just too lonely on the other servers for me not having a group of players I already knew.

I've been on "Super Teams" on other servers, but those ALWAYS fizzle out quickly.

So for now, I wait for the ability to buy even more slots on Freedom, and continue to level the toons I have. I'm keeping one slot open, just in case something new and fantastic comes along.

If, however, Going Rogue -or- Issue 16 does not increase the number per server, I'll probably break down and start a second account. I just don't want to have to start all over again with vet rewards

Why do you think I started the list of "usual suspects" to sign up automatically each week? Some of them were not getting on the teams because they forgot to check the forums

Yeah it's never a problem if you are at work with our events. Just let me know ahead of time that's what is going on, and I'll build the team to the best of my ability to make you a "non-essential" for that team.

Heck, usually our runs plow thru so much stuff that not much is a "Have to have" on a team.

My quick tip for everyone that hates blind invites and PM's:

type /hide into your chat box. The "Hide" menu pops up, select "Hide from Searches". That will instantly stop most of your blind invites and PM's, while leaving you still visable to your friends, chat channels, super group, etc. As soon as I create a toon, I go into hiding.

Yes, I highly encourage anyone that wants to run events, to do so There is a great core of players on Freedom who love to team, but usually they don't like to organize things.

As I mentioned earlier, I haunt the forums quiet a bit, so if you get an event setup that you want to do, I'll post the info in the Freedom TF Chat channel MOTD.

Some advice for anyone wanting to run events:

Give at least 1-2 days notice. Some people don't always check the forums every day.

Post the start times in all four time zones lol. Some people are really bad at converting time over, and some of my early runs had several people who missed the event because they had the wrong time.

Post a sign up list. It doesn't have to be fancy, just 1-8 works great! It's my opinion/experience that people whose name appears on a list are more likely to show up then people who say yeah I'll do it on the forum, but you never hear back from them again. You have to kind of "remind" people with the list that this event is really going to happen, and that you are looking forward to seeing you there. Even with that however, expect at least someone to not show up. As you team with more people here on Freedom, you'll get a feel for who will be there early, who will be there on time, who constantly runs late but still shows up, and those that constantly back out of events.

Those are separate events in addition to our standing Monday and Wednesday night appointments... which each get a separate thread of their own every week.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to discourage you from forming your own group. Our 10pm ET timeslot was picked after careful consideration of the availability of interested parties, and it isn't likely to change. If something earlier in the day is more convenient for you, I'm sure you can find people to join you. We aren't the only ones out there.

Many members of the "Freedom Horde" are also on earlier as well, and are always looking for extra things to do. On my day off.. I certainly am. lol

Yeah, when I originally started the Hero side TF's, I was hoping to do them earlier in the evening East Coast Time, but pretty much everyone else preferred the after 10pm time.

So if you want to get some events going, post up here on the threads, I'll put the info in the chat channel, and I'm sure you'll get some kind of response.

As far as Villain side goes, very fun, but boy, not enough SF's to fill out the level ranges. It's been a struggle in some spots to get people who are actually leveling up toons over the humps that have no TF's in them.

Lol, np E, it was all good We were up to 11 people at one point, but 3 departed before you got back. One was a PUG who wanted to join, one was Turg who wanted to edit his MA arcs, and one was Dragoh who wanted to team with a friend. I had tried to split the 11 we had into two teams, one that could have started and another to wait for you, but everone wanted to wait for you

Lady Nightmare was a Plant/Thorn Dom I do believe. Thanks for letting her join us. She's a SG mate (about the only other one who plays still) and she's really enjoying teaming with us.

Sorry if I was a little rude/contrary during the ITF There's a reason I don't PUG, and it's because people sometimes rub me the wrong way, and I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut. So again, Sorry!

While I like to do a quick task force, and I'm all for stealthing when need be to keep some of the longer TF's from taking hours upon hours, I do find people who insist on only doing speed runs, and who will sacrifice all of their team mates just to get a quick time to be highly annoying. So usually when someone joins an ITF and they go "Is this a Speed Run" and "Oh, I know what I'm doing, follow me", that usually sends up a red flag for me. The final straw was the "GO GO GO" that one guy kept popping up.

So again sorry for being contrary E. I have certain buttons that can be pushed, and our PUG members pushed them all. If I hadn't known 6 of the 8 team members, I would have just quit on the spot during the first mission. I just didn't want to leave you without a Rad.

What's sad is *he* got me into this game. But I long ago surpassed him in knowledge of it, and amount of time spent playing it.

You should hear us on Monday nights. Our team will say something like "keep ID or SB up" or "Buff up" and he's like "What's that?". There's a reason I usually end Monday nights with a headache!

If my husband doesn't settle on a toon for the next TF run soon, I might harm him. Or ban him from Horde Events .

He's now on his 5th idea for the task forces... this one being the exact same idea that he deleted WEEKS AGO.

It wouldn't bother me if he had these ideas and played and leveled up his toons on his own. But no, he hardly ever plays, and when he does, he insists one of my toons drag his lowbie around to level him up to 10-12.
