I agree with Slash.

Add your friends to global, and make the move. Invite them to roll a new toon and join you over here on occasion. Freedom has always been my main home, but I have a few toons on other servers, and it's very lonely on those servers compared to Freedom.

I know several people who have started or moved a few toons over to Freedom to enjoy a busier play style.

If you do start playing on Freedom, make sure to add some of the global chat channels listed at the top of the Freedom Forums. You'll start to notice the same people hanging out in them chatting, and despite rumor, we are a really friendly group of people over here. =)

I know I said that this coming Monday night would be Carnies, but after looking at the Carnie arcs, I don't think they would work well with 3 teams running it at the same time. I think this arc will work better =) Sorry for the last minute change!

I'm thinking I might be safer off on a blaster.

I'm having horrible lag issues playing on the old laptop and I've lost connection to map server several times. I'm a bit paranoid about playing a debuffer who draws aggro on a rig like that. I might lag and not release I'm about to die.

Sign my husband up as well Gen. I *think* he's bringing Debt Collector, an Earth/Thermal Controller. Please put him on the same team I'm on so I can keep him from doing something silly =P

I'll probably bring a debuffer of some kind. I could bring an emp, but I would be nervous running her on a Master of run. I don't think I'm a good enough emp for that.

This TF starts in the Chantry, which you can reach from Fire Base Zulu (which you can reach from Peregrine Island). The contact is right next to where you zone in to the Chantry.

Since we're a team of TBA's, I'll put down that I'm bringing ArtemisMoon - Archery/MM Blaster for this. Of course I can switch out to a support toon if need be.

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can give me some recommendations for a new laptop. My 1.5 year old HP Pavilion decided to die, and I'm tired of trying to fix it. Time for something better anyway.

What I know I'm looking for:

Dedicated Graphics card (preferably Nvidia) with 512 or better ram
4GB RAM or better
300GB HD or better
16"+ screen size
Windows 7
Reliable brand (bah on HP!)

Everything else is negotiable to me in what comes on the laptop.

I can probably spend up to $1200 without my husband killing me, but $1000 or under would be better.

My old laptop could not run *any* of the Ultra mode settings, so it would be pretty cool if this will run at least some of them.

Any help is appreciated! I've been doing some research, but the sheer amount of variety is a bit overwhelming, and I haven't really been keeping up on computer specs and what is better.

I'll be there. Not sure how good my game play will be with the laptop issues. Either I'll be on the current laptop and it'll crash out at some random point. Or I'll be on the old laptop and moving at the speed of a snail. Or I'll boot the husband off his desktop and have trouble controlling my toon cause his keyboard is so wonky. :smirk:

Thank you to everyone that joined last night. Sorry we didn't get to fight more Giant Monsters. They were being shy last night.

Thank you to MB for leading the Monster Hunting, and to Xort and Mr E-Man for leading my team. My video drivers decided to go nutty on me, and I had a hard time getting my laptop to even boot up for a while. All I was getting was a solid black screen.

Sorry I didn't stick around for the respec, I started getting sick yesterday afternoon, and after the computer issues, I just felt very bleh. Hope you all had fun.

Not sure what next weeks event is. Whatever is listed in my schedule :smirk:. I'll post the sign up sheet up tomorrow when my brain is less fuzzy from cold meds.
