Well I was using the oblits because while the melee def was higher for them they still geve the best s/l def I could get for those powers.
I will look around the forums see if I can't find something thxs. -
You actually only need about 78ish percent recharge with hasten 3 slotted for perma dom if that helps ya. I shoot for 80 for lag or anything like that.

To bounce off this and maybe explain a bit better than I did in my previous statements, part of the issue with PVP for me personally is not only that someone might kill or harm me, but that I am expected to kill or harm other players. It is not just about fear of losing, it is also about what happens if I win?
Don't get me wrong. I like to win things. I am also no stranger to the mild conflicts that stem from arguing on the boards. But for me to win at PVP, someone has to lose. I don't feel any more comfortable putting people in that position than I'd like being there myself. Even players who frustrate me personally are not people I want to feel bad or be punished in some way. Some players aren't bothered by being killed, but some are. I never know who this person is or how my actions are effecting them. And if I do know, that makes it even more personal. This is why in however many years of video gaming my reaction to almost all PVP situations is to never make the first strike (a critically flawed strategy in a PVP environment), never chase people down with intent to kill if they run away from me, and if attacked myself, just try to run away.
I should also clarify that I don't mind PVP existing in the game. I don't want to do it, but I am always intrigued by the players who do. If there were a way for me to be a neutral spectator, I would probably go to PVP zones to watch the action. It's like sports in that way. I also support the CoX PVP community as a whole and wish PVP would get some attention to fix some of the major issues I13 brought about, even if it means I don't get some of the things I want. But the root of all that goes back to the concern about the welfare of other players and a general desire for them to have fun too.
On topic of the OP. Sure you hear horror stories of people going into zones for a first time announcing what their doing and then getting ganked over and over. It's a little like the school yard when you just moved and your on lunch break for the first time, well you don't run around screaming what your doing when no one even knows you bad things are probably gonna happen(wedgies or in game ganks etc lol). You gotta build yourself up a little meet a few friend.
So sure pvp may be a little uncomfortable at first but so are a lot of things in life I say embrace the uncomfortable and always be the first to mention any akward silence for it surely breaks that akward silence and uncomfortable moment the fastest. -

got this build for a brute yes i know scrappers forum yada yada but you guys seem so to have a lot of knowledge. I finished the build then realized I hadn't slotted burn so any recomendations would really help. What I was shooting for was smash/lethal 1 purple away from the soft cap with some recharge and hp on the side.

This things a real pain to get and I have only gotten it once myself. My suggestion find a buddy on redside(or blueside if your a villain) and just go back and forth taking over the pill boxes. Each turret gives 10 points and capture 25 points. It takes a while but is pretty easy and you only need 2 people, 1 from each side working together kinda timely though depending on how fast you guys can kill them.

If you can manage to kill the AVs it will speed you up quiet a bit as they give 250 points. -

I liked for the most part powers worked like they did in pve. I started playing this game cause I liked it what makes any sane dev think
"hey lets change the game everyone likes completelty like 360 degree change"
I would love to know who the ftard was that thought it was a good idea. How do you think the pveers would like it if you dropped i13 ruleset onto the pve game? You and everyone at paragon studio would be out of a job. NCSoft would drop this game like a bad habit if anyone was ever stupid enough to do this to the pve game. All I have left to say is **** me you guys are lucky as **** there wasn't nearly as many pvper as there is pveer when this **** storm went down. -

Dechs is right and shields on a tank is stupid easy to soft cap like super reflexes scrapper easy. I don't really care for tanks cause the low damage but my buddy likes them has like 2 50's and a few on their way, well one is SD/SS and ya it has pretty awesome damage iplayeed it a few times. Put in enough recharge cause it's easy and you just spam footstomp+KO blow and shield charge like every 25 seconds. All the while sitting at or close to the damage cap it's real nice. Ans the cardaic alpha like completely takes away and all crash concerns from rage going of so often.

Will he encounter a Freedom server where a team broadcasting for a kinetics takes a kinetics defender, then promptly kicks the defender because they wanted a fire / kinetics controller to come and farm a map for them?
Will he encounter a Freedom server where players openly discuss how they exploited the game for rewards?
Will he encounter a Freedom server where players openly brag about how they placed the Ourobous portal at exactly the right spot to interfere with other players ability to run the ski-course during the Winter Event?
Will he encounter a Freedom server where players are invited to teams, then have trade windows suddenly opened and the team lead demanding inf before running the mission?
Will he encounter a Freedom server where Atlas Park broadcast is filled with players figuring out ways to get obscenities and profanities around the word filter?
Will he encounter a Freedom Server that ask for a Tank, gets a Fire Tank, and then kicks the Fire Tank?
Will he encounter a Freedom Server where somebody starts a Task Force, then half the team suddenly leaves... only to log back in 2 hours later expecting the TF to be nearly over so they can get the rewards for the TF?
Maybe Abbadon will, maybe Abbadon won't.
Speaking for myself and for all of the people I play with, our opinion of Freedom couldn't be lower. We believe that the server has earned the nickname of Freedumb. Most players I know have one horror story or another.
Oh... and lastly.
Freedom's no longer the most populated server. I believe official figures now place Virtue as being the most populated.
Now does raw population mean anything in this game? Again, that's up to the player whose actually playing the game. For all we know Abbadon might enjoy Guardian Server, Pinnacle, or Infinity because he'll get along with the players on those servers. Does it matter if those servers have lower total populations if a player enjoys them?
And yes freedom has the highest population, I play on both freedom and virtue and there is consistently more people online anytime of the day on freedom, but how would you know that you hate freedom and never play on it but you know it's not the highest pop. You just contradicted yourself all you have to go by is heresy so ya your opinion does not really hold any weight at all.
Just for the new players to know misinformation is the worst kind of infomation. Go by the majority of what people say there are no bad servers, Just people that like to generalize a whole group by a select few individuals. You know who else does that? racist. Ya that's how je saist thinks so please don't take anything he says seriously unless it's tech advice. -

Honestly, only two. Freedom has the reputation of Freedumb. Let's just say that Freedom server is so bad, I willingly ponied up the cash to move my avatars off there when Server-transfers were first made available. Since then... it's gotten worse. Primary reason being that during one of the free-server transfers offered by the developers saw a significant number of the remaining vocal PvP players head to Freedom.
The other server is Triumph. I don't have anything good to say about that server. Out of all of the servers I've played on, I've encountered more people who have left this game... permanently... will not give CoH another chance... due to the behavior of various players associated with the Triumph Server.

That is fine, unless those challenges end up being just an upgraded version of the older challenges, such as Recluse or someone like him is now tougher too but it now takes you 24 to take him out instead of 8, it might seem off a bit off.
I hope the challenges for raid size teams will be things like 80 ft tall robots rampaging though Steel Canyon, cars and buildings burning and civilians fleeing underfoot.. truly the next level in threats. Not just the same kind of threats that we faced as non incarnate heroes but now happen to match our newly found greater power, but even more so. -
