Quote:Monster Hunter Frontier Online. Awesome animations, rooting while attacking beautiful monsters that tails can be cut off can monsters can made to flinch when hit hard enough or enough times.
Honestly, I see City of Heroes as very much the only game out there that puts an emphasis on what looks cool to do at the expense of what you CAN do. An that's a major reason why I'm here eight years down the line.
Downside it's grindy and only available in Korea Japan and Chine I believe.
The animations though beautiful. Way better then even COXs
here's some game play footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OO0RynzRCk skip to 1:27 for hammer time -
We want real action? We want COX to remain open? well I don't think these petitions are cutting it.
Time for the juicy stuff. Compromising pictures, dirty credit card statements, unlawful phone records to name a few.
Blackmail is what I'm getting at, any paparazzi or P.I.s playWe need dirt and we need it NAO!!!!!!!!!!

Quote:Dude this is only true of PC MMO games. Go look at all the console games I assure you Dwarfs and elves are not the norm.On another note (and not for a minute knocking the OP) aren't people just sick to the back teeth of fantasy genre games? I mean granted, it seems that all the games NCSoft has axed have been games that have been something other than poxy elves, dwarves and paladins and they've done so as a result of people not playing them very much, but what I don't understand is why.
As a genre, Science Fiction is as if not more popular than Fantasy, but the sci-fi genre in games tends to be over shadowed in favour of fanstasy (with the possible exception of EvE). I did look at GW2 after recommendation of some of my old SG mates, but I've also tried (and am absolutely loving) SW:TOR. Most will probably tell me why GW2 is the better game, but my digestive system will simply not allow me to endure yet another RPG based on a tired and much over used formula for the setting. -
Quote:I can answer the bolded part.Well, the same reason we don't call train station or road tunnels "portals" even though that's what they are. The Shadow Shard has quite an expansive range of lore, and the Horta vines are part of it. Rumour has it that these aren't just invisible portals, but rather that there is a single, huge Horta plant that grows in extra-dimensional space.
Now, granted, the lore of the Shard is very badly delivered, meaning you basically have to hunt down tidbits on Wikis and what developers have said and deleted scenes and such. But bad presentation doesn't mean the story itself is bad. In fact, that's one of my biggest question about the upcoming developer info-dump - I'd like to know more about the Shard. What is the Horta vine? What is the Kora fruit and why do the Soldiers of Rularuu keep guarding and gathering it if they don't eat it? What's at the bottom of the world? Why are the "Citizens of Paragon" and why do they call themselves that if they're native to the Shard? Was the world whole before Lanaru's madness broke it? That sort of thing.
Now, if you just plain don't care, that's fine. But the zone has potential to be a lot more interesting than it is.
They call themselves citizens of paragon even though they are native to the shard because when Ruluruu came to our dimension to devour it the Midnight club used the dagger of Joacas to take a tiny piece from every citizen of Paragon and make a shadow world that when Rularuu ate would kill him. Well Rularuu is super powerful and realized just in time and he gave life to every piece of person that was taken thus the citizens of the Shard were born but originally they had come from Paragon. The shadow shard originally was a shadow of Paragon but Rularuu over time changed it to fit needs/desires what have you. Rularuu can't escape because He used so much of his power giving life the the Shadow Shard.
Hope that answers some questions.

Quote:It's like trading in real money for itchy and scratchy money at itchy and scratchy land lol.Sorry to break this to you.No new points. Live market down as of 9-1. Some people have reported that they were able to purchase items, but officially it's down.
I,also, recently read that people are get NCSoft credits for the subscription money owed back to them, rather than real money.
Good Time

Quote:https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BypR...N2M/edit?pli=1Lucky666, where did you find that link? I'd like to take a look at it.
Here ya go bible section is 4 down
Really interesting stuff in there some I think would make a good sci-fi theme novel/movie Like Nemesis Story. -
One about Lord Nemesis also.
Is Mender Silos another dimension version of Nemesis?, our Nemesis from the future in a highly advanced robot body that looks human?, what's the deal with Mender Silos and Lord Nemesis? -
OK someone posted the lore bible in another thread and I read that thing for hours literally the past 2 nights and this morning like 4 hours of reading and I hate reading on computer screens for anything for the subtitles or manga anyway here's the question.
Rularuu the Ravager came to our dimension to devour it whole and the midnight squad stopped him. Well he originally sniffed out our dimension cause he started off eating other versions of him self in other dimensions and it made him stronger and some of his other selfs also got stronger(though not nearly as him) and some realized what he was doing. Mainly the other version of his self in the midnight squad Gerad the Green or Great I can't recall at the moment.
Here it is then, Gerad was a great magician and it's said Dream Doctor has a connection with Rularuu the Ravager, Is Dream Doctor and Gerad one and the same and Dream Doctors connection is he is really Rularuu of our dimension?
For those unaware Rularuu the Ravager actually started Human in A highly advanced dimension where they could travel dimensions easily. But it was highly advanced in magik but only a very very few select had this ability or potential for this ability and they acted as travel agents as it were. I forget the name they were called and none of them turned out like Rularuu the Ravager. He just Turned out like the way he is because the only way he could originally travel from 1 dimension to another is to consume and travel exactly where his other self was. That's the way could sense the other dimension originally by sensing his other self. -
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic thing that I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

NCSoft is full of retards seriously. They want to dominate in the Asian market but they try to do it on PC games? O.o LOLOLOL. Handheld game systems win by a mile over in Japan and China and other Asian countrys.
Just look at the Monster Hunter series they have an MMO but they also have 5 games for portable systems but only 4 other ones for consoles . NCSoft is ****** stupid as all hell go learn a thing of two from Capcom. Another thing I love Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii and I play online a lot but guess what it only has about 1000 people on at nights but they still manage to keep their servers on and even have event quests.
**** why couldn't they just put COX on maintenance mode and close some servers or something. -
FYI ZWILL unlocked PMs for everybody. So long people it's been a pleasure.

Burn out BURN out. I hadn't played it the last 3 months or so and was waiting for some new incarnate tiers to open wanted to see everything up to omega was going to be. Guess that aint gonna happen now. My friend even said he might go vip again next week which usually gets me to re up.
My personnel opinion they spent to much money on updating the graphics in the first place can't even remember what they call it ultra mode or something idk the game was over half a decade old people aint playing for the stunning visuals that's what the xbox360 is for. Going Rogue an expansion focusing on low level of the game that people blow threw super fast like in a day not smart actually extremely short sighted. Look at Preatoria it's a ghost town with tumbleweeds blowing at every street corner.
Anyway no matter what decisions I thought were dumb this game had a great many talented people working on it and I hope them the best in future endeavors. -
So I guess it's true the world is ending in 2012 and COX shutting down is the 1st sign. I hadn't played in a while but I still loved this game, just taking a small break. The hordes and hordes and enemys we could fight at once made me feel like Neo fighting 100 Smiths at once you know good. The ease of teaming was amazing the cool locations even even if we got sent to offices and caves more then maybe necessary.
This was a great game greatest superhero MMO that's for sure. So much stuff to do and explore such a rich history.
Anyway the zombies are coming Luck666 called it aka real name Trevor prepare yourself 2012 is true. Peace out Heroes and Villains God speed. -

Don't get your hopes up. Use to be able to buy an IO license for 200 merits but it only lasted about 2 weeks and was not wai. So apparently the devs code for things they never plan to implement. I wonder how a meeting like that would go.

Ya paypal is so awesome LOLOLOL
Quote:In September 2005, Richard Kyanka, owner of the website Something Awful, set up an account to collect donations for Hurricane Katrina to be given to the Red Cross. Owing to the high rate at which donations were made, the account was automatically frozen, and Kyanka criticized the time and difficulty involved in getting PayPal's customer service to unfreeze the account. In response to the concerns of Something Awful members over the charity used by PayPal, United Way, Kyanka finally opted to have the money refunded to the donors so that they could donate directly to their charities of choice, though PayPal did not refund exchange and handling fees for international donors
Quote:In February 2010, PayPal stopped or reversed all "personal" transactions in or out of India without prior notice. Funds already transferred and transactions that had previously been "completed" were reversed leaving many vendor accounts over-drafted. Companies, contractors and service providers throughout India were left in debt to PayPal for services they had already provided when PayPal, without warning or consent, returned funds vendors had already received and withdrawn
Quote:n March 2010, PayPal froze donations to Cryptome, seizing over $5300 of in-transit donations.[91] PayPal refused to inform Cryptome of the reason for this action, claiming that to disclose why the donations had been confiscated would violate Cryptome's own privacy.[92] A week later, PayPal offered an apology, which was rejected by Cryptome founder John Young as "insulting and unacceptable" A week later, PayPal offered an apology, which was rejected by Cryptome founder John Young as "insulting and unacceptable".
Quote:In September 2010, PayPal froze the account of Markus Persson, developer of independent video game Minecraft. Persson stated publicly that he had not received a clear explanation for why the account was frozen, and that PayPal was threatening to keep the money if they found anything wrong. His account contained around €600,000.
Quote:In December 2011, PayPal froze funds in an account held by April Winchell, the owner of Regretsy, used for charitable giving, requiring the account holder to refund the donations collected but keeping the fees charged. Following some public outcry the account was reinstated, PayPal apologized and donated to her cause
Quote:As of December 2011, PayPal is embroiled in a controversy over their policy of holding 30% of vendor transactions for 90 days, which PayPal argues is intended to make funds available to customers in the event that a transaction is found to be fraudulent; to provide PayPal the funds to refund the seller. But PayPal has refused to provide information regarding the reasons particular sellers have been identified to have funds reserved. There is also criticism about the perceived arbitrariness of the 90-day waiting period, when customers have only 45 days to file a claim against a seller, and complaints about the fact that PayPal has not paid interest on the funds held back. Many sellers have surmised that the policy is due to a desire on the part of PayPal to use their funds for investing. There is a class action suit pending regarding the practice
So awesome in fact they have a class action lawsuit against them. -
Quote:Always you can buy small inspirations from AE buildings, Ouraboras, any contact available other places I'm sure forgetting. And how long do you think a small blue or green would remain dirt cheap on the market, after the marketeers start buying them up in bulk to convert them to large insp?
Instead of "solving" one problem you're creating another.
Anyway this just seems like it would make the game even easier something I can't support. -
Quote:Wow that's a lot of clicks for a measly 100K influence. You know with converters I can make a similar amount of clicks and make 150-200 million influence.Step 1 : buy 3 small red (150 inf)
Step 2 : Convert to medium red
Step 3 : buy 3 small red (150 inf)
Step 4 : Convert to medium red
Step 5 : buy 3 small red (150 inf)
Step 6 : Convert to medium red
Step 7 : Convert 3 medium reds to one large red
Step 8 : place 1 large red on market for 1inf, get 100,000
Nope, too easy to make tons of money by doing nothing...
