I love Conan he is so awesome. I also had a drama teacher in high school that looked just like him but it was a she. She didn't like us telling her she looked like a man much but it was all in jest.

You don't get it. Third party companys buy the points with real cash and then give them away to people that take part in adds. The points are paid for with real cash either way it's not the devs giving them away it's third party companys.

I said earlier I play a game with this feature and this statement is pure non sense no offense but you obviously have zero idea what your talking about.

Why? it's a good way for young kids to earn money or in this case credit on a game that is equal to real money(think of it as a gift card for COH) that is absolutely not going towards drugs and or booze.
  6. I play an online First person shooter that has this. Wouldn't do it myself cause to much of a hassle but some friends of mine do it.

    Good idea I think.

This toon doesn't have SS - yet. I plan to respec that in soon. Just wondering about this variation.

I've seen a lot of odd happenings lately namely mobs see threw my SS plus stealth IO that shouldn't be. Maybe this is why. I get why you might see 2 cause of zoning and how some procs will stack with themselves but the celebrity is suppose to be what 50 or 55 feet of stealth or whatever not 30.

I'll have to keep a closer eye on the combat attributes in the future.
  10. Do these 2 versions count towards the Dimensional Warder Badge

Contrast it with, Defense and Resistance, both of which give accelerating returns, each point giving more and more survival time than the previous until near the cap gaining even 5 points of defense doubles your lifespan. Meanwhile, Each HP point you gain increases your Health bar in a linear fashion. Having twice as much HP means it takes twice as much DPS to kill you in the same amount of time.

I'm strongly in favor of not only increasing blaster HP cap to +100% above base, but doing the same for ALL AT's. Mostly for the sake of making Frostworks good.

    Those are my 2 cents.
That's not actually true about hp scaling linear in this game cause of how regeneration works. 100% regen on 1606 hit points is less then 100% regen on say 3000 hit points. An everyone gets base regen plus health for free so kinda gotta count at least that.
  13. Just unlucky I've literally gotten 6 purples in the last 2 weeks on a brute.
  14. You run the right TFs that give the components needed for whatever alpha you plan to build plus the WST it really isn't that many. Or you could go the trial route and skip shards altogether.

Riiight... are we playing the same game? You noticed the removal of level barriers from hazard zones, right? And from the RWZ? And the introduction of SSKing, to make teaming easier - which is what the suggestion's about, removing one more barrier to teaming?

COH is one of the most barrier-free, casual-friendly, socially-enabling MMOs out there. I want to get rid of one more barrier.

Removing those has not turned the game into "a crap shoot of no achievement crapfest," as you put it. Nor will removing this one.

And if you agree with Mr. Elitist "I AM ROLEPLAYER, I need NOT this RIFF-RAFF!" ... well, you're not exactly a shining example of a great teammate, anyway. Though it does sound like you'd be the "inferior type of personality" Mr. Elitist there would snub.

Not only did I not bother reading the rest of your tripe, but after seeing this kind of elitist BS, I don't think anything you have to say about *anything* is worthwhile.

Oh, and do note this isn't about the *ability* to finish the arc. There's nowhere that I said I couldn't. It's about having an artificial barrier in place that doesn't need to be there. But thanks for proving you earn the first three letters of assume.

You got rage problems, may I suggest a shrink?

PS it's a game it's all about the artificial barriers. Without them we got a crap shoot of no achievement crapfest

Er... you already KNOW where to go. You just can't get there. This does not support anyone "knowing how to get around the game world." This series of missions doesn't even support "knowing how to get around Steel Canyon."

Besides, you have noticed things like, oh, "Teleport to Contact," base teleporters, mission teleporters, the top tier zone teleport in the teleport pool... right?

Generally, pointing someone to the tram/ferry lets people know "how to get around the game world." A ridiculous series of missions locking you out of a zone does not.

I've played with multi-year vets who were utterly inept and a bigger drag on the mission/TF than the "newbies." They should, in theory, know "how to get around" (and work with others) better than they did. Obviously running a completely unrelated series of missions didn't help them.

.... right. That makes you look SO much better. Especially when you're acting like one yourself with this response.

Perhaps next time you should actually try *reading* what you respond to.

Ya 0k rage moar son lol.

what next, remove the badges needed for the accolades? I mean I've got them all before I know where all mobs are for the defeat badges and explore badges. What's the point n even playing the game at this point lol.

    So you would rather
A: pester someone on a global channel to let you join them for the last mish to get the badge
B: wait for someone who is handing the last mission to the latin student to get the badge.

What do you guys do if an ITF is starting up you would like to join but no one is about to talk to the latin student and you don't have the badge yet?

    /unsigned

I like knowing people know how to get around the game world even if that means running a handful of missions that take 30 minutes or less. Especially if I'm about to do a TF/SF with them.

Sorry but this idea only breeds noobs something that I can not support. Especially with all the Freemiums joining as of late.

    • BAB started to put [Walk] together in his spare time when the CoH Dev team (under Cryptic at that time) was about 15 people total.
    • [Walk] was intended as a RP, Non-Combat Power. I think he mentioned things about the Detoggling of Powers & the like after the Power's release, but I'm not sure.

Now since Powers like the Rocket Board & Flying Carpet are in the same vein of RP-based Non-Combat Powers, shouldn't the same things apply to them as [Walk]?

[Ninja Run] is a different bit of a thing. It was meant to be pseudo-combat Power, so that meant extra Animations were to be done when the scheduling of the Power's Development took place. And it's still a Power that has to be looked at whenever a new Weapon Power is added (the floating TW models come to mind...).

Bottom Line: Using the BAB quote I listed upthread, to make 3 Non-Combat Powers effective in combat, you would need to schedule Development time for, let's say, roughly 105 - 110 Animations per Power. Is it honestly worth the time and money cost involved and hoping you're not seriously breaking anything else in the Code to do that? The Devs, at this time, don't believe it is worth it.

    Thank you for the time...
I was talking about letting toggles stay active during rocket board/magic carpet. No new animations please go back and reread my post cause I think you may be responding to someone else.

Oh ya and walk was free rocket board/ magic carpet aint.

Instead they suckered themselves out of money. I bought the rocket board you know how the old saying goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

They lost a customer in me and others. I would have bought every travel power released if only toggles were allowed to stay active. Now I won't. Those words that's money flushing down the toilet for paragon studios cause some lazy developer couldn't spend a little extra time to code that toggles stay active while these travels are active.

Wish I was allowed to half *** my job like some of these devs do lol.

Ya none of that explains why these travel powers de-toggle everything.

They would most likely make a butt ton more money if they let us leave our toggles on. No idea why they don't. No red name cares to explain either so I'm just gonna go with laziness.
