I actually did it in photoshop.
I don't like depth of field option, either.

Well, I just happened to become a Gold Club Member today, thanks to Gray Huntress.
Here are some sneaky pictures from inside the private area. Hope I don't get in trouble for these:

Wassy, I think you misunderstood. I couldn't paint clouds before this month. I spent last couple of weeks doing cloud studies from photo references, and it got me to where I was able to paint not bad looking clouds without using references, and I was proud of that fact.
BTW, my May folder on my hard drive has over 50 pictures of clouds. -
I did finish it today!
Origin of Power featuring Thors Assassin and Lousy Day. Unfortunately for me, Juggertha and I had very similar ideas and he finished his first. I thought about doing something else, but decided to do what I was going to do because:
1) If I switched to another classic painting and someone else finished first using that piece, would I have to keep changing my source? No.
2) Would I expect someone to use another classic if they used the same one and I finished mine first? No.
I could not substitute the characters either, because the whole concept was about Lousy Day handing over the nemesis staff to TA.
Here's the Michelangelo painting. -
Me too, hoping to finish it today or tomorrow.
Just noticed your sig, Aprosaath. Thanks! -
Wow, you guys have done a wonderful job! The new Soul Train, Crescent, and Runriot blew me away. I wish I had any of the costume packs... *Ponders about doing a sketch for whoever buys me a costume pack.*
-
Uh oh, I threw all the litter from the Barn into the portal before it got redirected...did it get sent to the PVP forum? Maybe it is a good thing, because we need more people in Siren's.
-
That is great! Is he going to paint on it?

I just noticed your sig, LD.
I love you.

I chickened out and changed my signature.Being an Artist Drawer wasn't easy...I guess I will let the other guy be the one and only, and still the best one.
How's your painting coming along? -
Mostly Painter. Adjusted levels and color balance with Photoshop at the end.

Now I like this one, and so does Robo Dog.
The character is Overdog by DoctorMystery.

Wow! Fantastic! I love the skull modification! You rock!

Glad you like it!
I decided to take a break from my May fan art battle entry and do a free art since I haven't done one in a while.
Salagadoola for Siberian Spring. -
Awesome job Juggy!
I am using the same painting and my idea is very similar. Should I go through with it or start over with a different classic? -
Sorry to sign up so late, but I would like to volunteer on the artists side.
-
The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo immediately came to my mind when I saw the topic.
-
This is a great topic! I guess I need to save stick figure drawings for another time.
-
Thanks everyone who voted for me, really appreciated. I shall do an awesome stick figure drawing for May!
-
It was so cool! Wish they spawned more GMs in zones other than Atlas Park, though.
More insanity on Victory
It's about to get really cold
...and chaotic.
Ms Liberty, ever so calm through it all.

Brickstown wasn't so safe, either.
If you can count the dark rings, you are too close.
My new buddies
Your friend is running late, too? -
Wow, sounds like a very interesting idea. One question, are you allowed to sign up a character and also volunteer for the commission?

Hmm, I suppose I could spread the vote-love to someone else because his victory seems assured, but wait, then that's one vote he won't have. So I'll follow through with Lousy_Day, not only is the piece absolutely beautiful and unique, you can see the double meanings behind the construction of the piece (transparency vs. opacity, yin vs. yang, blue vs. red, etc.). Not only does the medium raise the bar, but so does the interpretation.
Juggertha and Tacky Tricky do indeed place close in my opinion. Nonetheless, great job everyone
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks Gray! I was looking at it the other day and found another double meaning that wasn't 100% intentional - the frame is straight and sharp, but most of the lines inside are curves. -
My vote goes to Juggertha. It was a toss-up between Juggertha, Tacky Tricky and Projectionist. I probably would have gone with Tacky Tricky if he had made a little more progress. I decided to go with Juggertha because he set the pace for the month with an early submission, and his piece feels the most like a finished piece out of those three.
-
I would love to see last years theme's and entries as well.
-
I am on Victory too!
-
It looks great, TT! I think you should finish it even after the deadline. It shows a lot of promise and I would love to see it finished.

So Day. I'm wondering, are people walking by your place and going:
o.O "WTF?"
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh, I am actually hoping no one looks up and sees it. Lots of young (and stupid) people live in this area. I will be more than a little upset if some drunken idiot decides to throw stuff.
Thanks all for the kind words. While working on the piece, I wondered more than a few times whether I was wasting money, time and effort on something that would be unnoticed/unappreciated, but your comments are encouraging.
