    Well with comicbook Shane killed off so quickly comicbook Rick never had any one person to challenge his leadership the same way TV Shane constantly challenges TV Rick. There was a hint that comicbook Shane was going to stand against Rick but that "confrontation" only lasted about 2 pages in the comic so it barely started before it abruptly ended.

    Likewise comicbook Lori never really seriously "butted heads" with comicbook Andrea before Lori was killed off so that leadership battle never happened between them either.

    Clearly this type of plotline was only possible in the TV show.

    Yep, the only thing we know for absolute certainty is that it will not be tomorrow based on what Zwill said. So even though they usually like to launch new Issues on Tuesdays there's really nothing that would prevent it from happening on a Wednesday or Thursday of a week. I doubt we'll ever see a Friday release for obvious risk reasons.

    So in a nutshell any of the following dates are currently the most likely before the 2xp weekend: Feb 29th, Mar 1st, Mar 6th, Mar 7th, Mar 8th, Mar 13th, Mar 14th or Mar 15th.

    Andrea, in the comic, breaks that mold after the prison arc. And it's never returned to since then. Even during the safe-zone arcs.

    Tonight's show was excellent. And done more in the comic book style than any previous episode (Focus on specific characters instead of constant wipes back to show everybody doing things).

    Spoilers are still spot on, I'm interesting to see who was the leak within the production company.

    Rick is becoming more like the comic book Rick, which is delightful
    I kind of like how we have two pairs of characters both fighting each other for the "Alpha" spots within the group. We have the obvious Rick versus Shane confrontation but it's now clear that Lori and Andrea are fighting over the same kinds of issues from I guess what would be considered the "female" point of view. We already knew that Shane and Andrea both see more eye-to-eye on things so we've got a real tag team match between the four of them going on now.

    Also I liked how they threw in the idea that Randall has had a crush on Maggie. Assuming he actually survives the next episode then I could see how he might start trying to move in on the Glenn/Maggie thing.

    Eh, for what it's worth you don't really need to be a big comic/superhero/zombie fan in order to be annoyed by -any- TV show that can't be edited well enough to plausibly explain huge 12+ hour gaps for no good story reason at all. At least this show doesn't do silly things like that in every episode.

    As far as where the "Jenner Whisper" stands I think what the TV show will eventually reveal is that the Zombie Apocalypse was caused by some kind of mutated virus that outright killed and zombified like 90% of the entire population. Of the remaining 10% I think the virus killed most of them but did not fully zombify them. This would explain the number of dead bodies lying around that aren't actively walking. There's probably a remaining tiny percentage who are now carriers of the virus but who are otherwise immune to it. This would not only explain our main characters still being alive but could even explain why they aren't becoming zombies themselves after countless exposures to their infected blood and/or contaminated knifes and the like.

    As always I guess we'll see...

    Yep in an ideal game there would be only one Ouroboros implemented as a co-op zone. It would have a pair of TP portals just like that area that exists just outside the First Ward door where there are portals leading to Paragon City and Rogue Isles respectively.

    Unfortunately when they first coded Ouroboros they didn't envision a game where side-switching would become so common and routine. Sadly it would probably take a huge update to untangle the knot of code to make that work better.

    Since I actually started to track souvenirs (for my main character - check sig line) I just have a master souvenir list with a description of which arc they were related to. It's not as detailed as the people here who are tracking times with spreadsheets, but at least it's fairly easy enough to know whether you've done a given SSA or not with a simple list like this.
  8. Pretty sure it's already been established that the new Dark oriented powersets will be released with I22 and that Staff and Beast Mastery will come after I22. That being said I still think it makes the most sense given the current evidence for I22 to launch before the upcoming 2xp weekend which still makes March 6th or 13th the most likely dates at this point.

    Most of the costume mods I ever saw basically fell into two main catagories: Either people had figured how to make things like Superman's "S" emblem or other obvious rip-off items from existing comicbook superheroes or they figured out how to change items to look like "naughty bits" on female body parts.

    But you're right since these mods only involved the client side I think once these people spent the first few months of the game coming up with these things there was no where to go with it after that. I have not seen any new ones created in literally 5 or 6 years now and it's gotten to the point where most people don't even imagine it's possible.

    It's just as well the whole modding craze died out. Ripping off existing characters is strictly against the EULA and the game itself will let you create some practically nude outfits that everyone can see anyway.

    For what it's worth this is not the first time someone's mentioned having an impossibly old character like this. A few months ago someone also mentioned having a character that would have had to have been made back in the 1990s as well.

    Remember kids since this game launched on April 25th, 2004 the longest offline ANY character should be able to be as of today is 2,864 days. Anything more than that is, well, sadly silly all things considered.

    Yes but some of us are not hating on things directly -because- they are popular. Some of us are hating on the strangely divine forces in the universe that somehow MADE those god-awful things popular in the first place. I realize it may be a subtle difference to some, but it is what it is.

    Sure rehashing exact stories from older shows would be a bit lame. But one could argue what's the point of setting up a new universe when you have no clue or desire to know how -either- version of Star Trek works. I think Abrams ought to just wait until Lucas dies and try his hand at "recreating" Star Wars instead. At least that's a franchise he might have a chance with. *shrugs*

    This. I really don't think players having this kind of concrete information would really serve any helpful purpose other than to give those who are already complaining about the RNG more fuel to complain because they think they'll have some kind of "hard number evidence" to back up their anecdotal experiences.

    I realize the concept of "full disclosure" sounds cool when you say it fast but sometimes players really -don't- need to know how it all works.

    I realize that you were trying to be a little sarcastic with this remark but in essence I agree with the idea of the Devs being able to update the system "behind the scenes" without having to openly report everything to us. I'd rather the Devs have the freedom to change a value here or there by a few points without them having to deal with firestorms of angst from players which tend to serve no constructive purpose in the long run.

    I know this is a game based on comic books and it's hard to reach anything close to normal human proportions.     Based on that, the feet we have currently in game are about the quarter the size they should be if the feet were proportional. The Pocket D boots are much more close to accurate proportions for the character model.

    If people don't like the appearance that's one thing, but to say they're too big for the body borders on dysmorphic.
    I certainly won't argue that this game gets all the typical human body proportions right to begin with. I mean if you were to believe this game's female model then you would think that -all- women have a C/D breast cup size as a minimum.

    But even if most of the feet in this game are too small to be realistic at least most of them are proportional to themselves. These new strappy shoes had toes that looked like they were as long as most people's fingers and maybe like a 1/3 of the total length of the foot.

    Yes the overall strappy shoed foot may still be too small for a real human if the toes are chopped back, but at least they'll be far more acceptable that way than not.

    I don't recall specifically wanting better defined toes myself. And even if had wanted them I would have assumed they would've been drawn as human-lengthed toes instead of as modified chimp feet the -first- time around.



    All I ask is that whatever they give us be reasonable to begin with, regardless if we suggested it or not. At least Dink was able to address this obvious problem quickly.

    No it has nothing to do with those kinds of things - obviously these are always "unfinished" scenes.
    Just look at Zachary Quinto in the first photo. The moment that still photo was taken simply captured him with a very silly look on his face.
    And look at the first photo from this link - behold the silly looking face of Cumberbatch.

    Well for what it's worth as long as this foot type was fixed to appear more realistic for a female foot (as Dink implied) then I wouldn't really mind if they left the original so-called "crossdresser" version in as well. I'd probably never use it, but I've always been in favor of having as many costume items available as possible for everyone regardless if I'd use them or not.

    Yes this is "annoying" to the point where I'm not even motivated to use what could arguably be considered the main top signature power of an entire AT once I become an Incarnate. That's when this becomes more than just an "emotional whimsy" and sits squarely as a serious concern the Devs ought to consider. Somehow I doubt the Devs would like to hear that people are actively avoiding key powers like this because the alternatives have become just that much better in practice. *shrugs*

    Also I was more than willing to work with my suggestion and meet the Devs half-way on this. Obviously they may feel the current Tier 9 Nuke crashes are completely justified (because they haven't taken the time to fully reconsider the ramifications of the Judgement Nukes) so I'm not going to go as far as to blindly claim "all crashes should be removed" arbitrarily. I simply contend that they could be adjusted downward to not only encourage Incarnates to use their Tier 9 Nukes again but to make things more reasonable even for the non-Incarnate level 32-49 characters. Seems to be a win-win to me.

    Thanks for the quick fix! I'm looking forward to seeing them.

    And yes I do agree that some of the other feet out there are probably actually a little too small (like the thigh high carnie boot feet) but I understand completely that you have your priorities. Even a goddess of art has her limitations.

    Far too late to walk away now. My second badger is currently only missing a handful of Master badges (a few of the older "no death" ones and a few of the iTrial ones). I waited the better part of a year to finish up MoKeyes on my main so I'm willing to let it take as long as it takes for her to catch up. It'll happen when it happens.

    I see Incandescence as more of a "safety net of last resort" for people who for whatever reason couldn't get out of the Green on their own.

    I've seen far too many Avoids runs fail just because one person gets careless despite how well everyone else was avoiding it. In those cases one Incandescence can spell the difference between a badge and no badge. Ideally of course as long as everyone's paying attention to what they're doing you shouldn't really need Incandescence, Skype or anything else extra like that at all.

    Congrats to those who got badges.
  24. Actually I think the Devs have already posted (somewhere in the Beta forums IIRC) that they were going to look into "trimming" some of the excess toe length off of that costume item. I suppose we'll see it when it happens but Dink (one of their semi-new art people) seems to be pretty active when it comes to fixing things so maybe it won't take too long to see it fixed.

    Teir 9 Nukes may be stronger than Judgment Nukes. But what I'm suggesting is that the Tier 9 crashes are so much more annoying in practice that 9 times out of 10 if I have both a Judgement Nuke and a Tier 9 Nuke ready to fire I'll choose the Judgement Nuke because I know I won't have to worry about -any- negative effects from it.
