Oops...
Still nothing for knockback/down though.Which is reason for taking acrobatics, which was what I was leading upto. Should have re-read before posting. DOH!

Now I've found it I'll be along. If I don't forget

Ambush...
Can be done solo but much more dangerous, I've only done this with my main villain, so don't know about other sets. (Bots/Dark BTW). If you have an MM friend all the better, especially if they are FF. Both of you should run tactics to help spot stalkers.
Find somewhere secluded, Warburg tunnels are good, setup and fully buff in an out of the way spot. Both can do this but only one needs it, let the bait stand somewhere in sight but not somewhere where you'll attract a big team, bait can also use TP Foe or ranged attacks.
Other MM remains hidden but lets pets be seen, idea being that an attack will see an AFK MM with pets standing idle, come in to attack and have someone elses pets attack them. I have done this with a friend, twice, the first time it was me and a Bots/FF the 2nd time with a Ninja/Traps. Success rate (ie we both don't die) was about 90%. We generally swapped over when one of us died, most of the deaths however were due to PvE mobs being agroed either by knockbacks from my pets or from the attacked player running through them. Or when his friends turned up to pound us.All in all we spent about three hours doing this. With perhaps 30-40 encounters, including a stalker who didn't seem to get the idea at all.
As I said can be done solo, two ways of doing it one is to find a well traveled route, or like a previous suggestion TP foe and grind into the ground, in this manner I survived better 14 successes out of 14 attempts but it is very slow as you have to pick your targets carefully. -

que pasa ladies and gents , i got a question about the DA seconday set?
before asking my question keep in mind im goin for somthing a lttle more pvp effective.
[/ QUOTE ]
I only played my */DA up to lvl26 so I'm not perhaps the best person to answer this, but I'll have a go.
[ QUOTE ]
i love the whole dark aura thing and iv choosen to leave out death shroud (as im trying to reduce toggles) but iv choosen to get tough and acrobatics aswell needless to say thats alot of toggles as death shroud is the only toggle iv choosen to avoid. can i maintain all those toggles with 2 end reducs on each?(i am not goin to have combatjumping)
[/ QUOTE ]
DA has no status protection (against holds, knockbacks etc) how are you managing? Have you gone, Jump kick->SJ->Acrobatics? Or another method? Cloak of Darkness does grant some resistance but its only a Mag1 (lowest) resistance, in PvP you'll need more. I have a regen main and I have been toggle dropped through Integration with ease. Not all the time, but when it happens its quick...
[ QUOTE ]
how many holds will i have to stack on a basic tanker/scrapper/stalker/brute in order to break it?
[/ QUOTE ]
A fair few depending on the build you are fighting, bare in mind that a controller specced for holds is not always 100% succesful. Dark Mastery has one hold, you might get lucky.
[ QUOTE ]
and will disorent+hold help me break it?or am i gona be ther brawling until i get lucky?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think disorient stacks with a hold, could be wrong.
[ QUOTE ]
i hav taken in to consideration
that not all me toggles will b on while fighting dependin on the type of dmg bein done to me
[/ QUOTE ]
If you are only intending playing in the arena then this is an okay idea but in a PvP zone you may not have time to toggle a shield on to soak up damage from an unexpected quarter. Better to build with the idea of running them all all the time. Then save end by switching them (or tough) off.
I hope that was a help.
Posting a build would also help. -
Only thing I would add:
Touch of Fear -> Acc x 1 ToHitDebuff x 3 Recrdx x1 (or two if you have a spare slot)
It stacks handily even with one recrdx, so you don't really need to extend the fear duration. It has a base accuracy of 5% so it only really needs 1x ACC. Get it in the attack chain ASAP and use it. Great for all mobs though bosses and up will need multiple applications. But even AVs and GMs can be made to tremble in fear.And with three tohit debuffs slotted they will struggle to hit you even when they do attack.
-
There is a cap, and its called 17. However get two */kin / kin/*s in there and you have max of 34.
-
Actually there is sod all end game content, as NB so rightly points out the PvP zones are available from lvl15, and yes some do enjoy it.
-
DM also has a large proportion of its damage unresisted by the majority of PvE mobs.
Whereas BS which has a much higher damage output is more likely to be resisted.
Herding with spines, seen some amazing things done with a spines scrapper mostly in I3 to be true but still.Me I can't bare the look of spines

Regen if you want little downtime and fight fight fight
But you will meet your end with the bosses where as a Super Reflexes will survive. Its not impossible but boss fighting is in my opinion quite easier with SR. Scrappers are a damagedealing powerhouse, that combined with great defenses against everything makes you astonishing both in PvE and PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can solo all but EBs/AVs/GMs with a DM/Rgn on Invincible. SR is good but way too many toggles, Regen has one toggle. Plus with ToF if anything springs a surprise on me I can fear it. Only ever have problems against sappers and only then if I didn't see them, but thats not the set that me trying to be too quick.
Currently working on a BS/Regen, she is even nastier, as with Parry I have a good stackable +DEF (IIRC with 4x Parry I have +80% DEF). On top of which her attacks are all good for damage, all I need for her is her final attack and I can survive without hasten (ie no gaps in the attack chain), and the attacks are superior to DM, and supposedly to most other Scrapper primaries. If it wasn't the most resisted damage type that is.
DM is good though as the negative damage portion of the attack is seldom resisted. -
Same, though I have been toggle dropped very occasionally by CoT. But even then its been masses of them, large team and large spawns.
-
Besides, you can't test acuaratly because you can't swithc resilience off.
-
Wow two trolls in one thread
Bots look funky as they are, mind I wouldn't mind if I could make them all look the same, make my minions look like minions or something. And I would love if the could be made less humanoid... Robot 5? Lord Torg?Hell I just want Gabber Robots
-
And...
If you give the damage to the MM he'll just get all the agro and die. Much better letting the pets take the agro, they don't get debt when they die. -
Nice thing with regen is you don't need to take Stamina as soon as you can, so trying to fit the two precursors and two travel powers in before 20 isn't essential. My BS/Regen (BS being a known end heavy set) still hasn't taken Stamina at 26 it will be my next power at 28. But this does mean you can leave it out of the build until you have the ability to respec (24+) At which point if you are having issues without stamina you can spec it in.
On the question of vertical travel with SS I find fly to be good, especially with MA & DM as the precursor power can be the tremendously useful Arial Superiority, (Claws, BS & Kat do less well as you need to draw the weapon after use.) Then you can use flight as a utility power, slot for end red x3, or as a travel power in its own right, slot for flight speed. Though you do have to cope with supression, I find except in the most hard fough of battles I can leave it on. I tend to run it with just the end rdx I have SS for high speed travel, fly gives me vertical chasing power, which is good to have in PvP. Three times endrdx is what I use with no stamina so with stamin that could be dropped to 2x perhaps. -
Thing is without slotting its once in a blue moon, you can carry 15 awakens by the time you can get revive, its not a pointless power just a power that you can normally find something else to take that has more use. Only time I've ever taken it was at 49 with just the default slot. I tend to carry 3/4 awakens wih me and I can honestly say I haven't missed it since I respeced it out.
-
Body Mastery for me, tried the other two but never really like them. I have a sort of hold in ToF (DM/Regen) so I never really needed that. I quite like the weapons mastery due to caltrops, very nice to auto slow AVs.
Body mastery is good though because you get the extra accuracy of Focused Accuracy, which unless you are an MA/* is always going to be useful. The end recovery power is supposed to be quite good but as a regen I've never bothered. Laser Beam eyes is not bad and gives an interesting pull and it looks cool. Never got the last one or even really looked at it but its another torrent, with IIRC a good chance to knockdown. -
Like many had it then dropped it. Its not an awful power but it is very situational. If you can find another way round those situations then its not needed. When I had it I pretty much had it perma'ed this was back in I3, now its not possible to do that but it still can be useful. I think my two issues with it are: 1) Its not a 'regen' power & 2) Invulnerability nad SR both get good lvl38 powers Regen and DA both don't. Its just one of those Meh... powers I'll take it if I have nothing else to bother taking. Which at 38 is seldom the case. And by the time I hit 47/49 when I normally can fit in situational powers I am pretty much decided that if I can manage till then without I can still.
-
Sorry forgot, first respec it is. Though LN can help on any of them if its needed.

A semi new SG, looking for new members of any level or experience, but would prefer those who can behave in an adult manner, mainly
.
We're a small SG (just me at the moment) we are not aimed toward PvP or Arena. Nor does the prestige you earn, or don't earn matter. We're easy going and happy to assist.
I'm no good at this recruiting thing! -
What the title says, looking for a respec team on 'The Facilitator' total cat @Lost Ninja. Not especially urgent but would like to try it again. Prefer an experienced team but again not that important.
-
Ah forgot he was taking tough too, I never will take it again, if I want to drain my end for no purpose I'll go and play with a sapper. It used to be a good power now it just sucks end. I have it on my current build as I thought it would be good. God I need a respec.
-
Not going to say much about Kat as I've only had one to about level 6, much prefer BS. Anyway:

04) --> Reconstruction==> Heal(4) Heal(7) Heal(7) Rechg(11) Rechg(11) Rechg(15)
[/ QUOTE ]
You only get partial (about 1/4) of the third Rechg. Personally I find with 2x Rechg I can't see much difference.
[ QUOTE ]
30) --> Stamina==> EndMod(30) EndMod(34) EndMod(36)
[/ QUOTE ]
Already said, I'd agree, only stick the two extra slots in late game if you have the end issue then.
[ QUOTE ]
41) --> Focused Accuracy==> EndRdx(41) EndRdx(42) EndRdx(42) TH_Buf(42) TH_Buf(43) TH_Buf(43)
[/ QUOTE ]
Save a slot here, you only really need 2x EndRdx
[ QUOTE ]
44) --> Revive==> Rechg(44)
[/ QUOTE ]
Revive is pants can you not find something else,.
[ QUOTE ]
47) --> Moment Of Glory==> DefBuf(47) DefBuf(48) DefBuf(48) DmgRes(48)
49) --> Resilience==> DmgRes(49) DmgRes(50) DmgRes(50)
[/ QUOTE ]
Both of these, I would say if you can survive without them to this point you don't need them. Personally I'd take Resilience much earlier and not take MoG at all. It doesn't fit in with the set, and has a stupidly long recharge. -
[ QUOTE ]
You can get a pretty good attack chain by taking Air Superiority and using that to fill in the gaps. You need to take Hasten (and suffer the gap) or two slot your attacks with rec red, which cuts damage output. Your choice.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could do that if you use a late respec or are happy with just PvE. 1x Acc 3x Dmg 2x RecRed. Leave out hasten but definitly take focused accuracy at 41. The other thing is, and this I've tested, if you go with a longer attack chain, you can live with 1x recred in each attack and still drop hasten. In this case I went with AS (see above), shadow punch, smite, maul, ToF -> AS... etc, I found this worked wonders with pretty much anything apart from bosses, only problem I had was this build also shed stamina and I found with no end reds in my attacks I ran out of end too quickly, might try it again if I ever get another respec to play with. -
Hasten + SS with Hover for vertical. Or as I like on my scrapper (not SR just can't get a feel for the set.) Hasten + SS then Arial Superiority, which gives good knockdown (MA Doesn't need a KD but still.) Then take Fly in a later slot, slot for end rec x3 Then especially at later levels you have a fast Vertical travel power for badging or getting around vertical zones (Shadow Shard especially) but don't use up loads of slots.
The other thing to think about is drop SS but keep SJ good speed, good vertical. Does mean three powerslots used before 14 which can be annoying but I'd be loath to have no real vertical movement with just SS.
