  1. Have it on my Bots/Dark but even then only at lvl30.
  2. At level 38, bots/dark with tactics.

    Battle Drones: 2x ACC 3x DMG
    Prot Bots: 1x ACC 3x DMG 1x END Rdx 1x Disorient Duration
    Assault Bot: 1x ACC 3x DMG 2x Disorient Duration

    Battle drones are for killing things, they need nothing else.
    Prot Bots, work better in this configuration than with a mixed up build with heals, def buffs etc. Tactics gives them enough accuracy with one ACC. The end rdx is for their own heal power, without it they often become drained quicker than the battle is over. With this build they can do well, the disorient duration is for their seeker drones (2nd upgrade power).
    Assault Bot, much the same, disorient is for the effect from the LRM rockets again leaving mobs helpless in the middle of a fire field created by the other LRM strike. With two durations you can stack the effect and leave even the hardiest spawns reeling.

    The other advantage to this slotting strategy is once you have SOs you can ignore the slots that are only needed after 32.

    Tar patch has 3x Red Rdx, it'll get a slow if and when I level past 40 and I have some free slots, Twilight grasp is the same I need another slot to bring it up to its greatest potential.

    My current build:

    Heists: Ouch!

    Non-Bank Heists are different.

    In banks clear the map before getting to the vault, then when you do get there clear the room first make sure you don't go into the room itself yet. Once all the guards are dead, let the pets take out the door. Get everyone healed and buffed, only then enter the vault room. 90% of the time the ambushes won't happen until you actually enter the room where the vault is (not the vault). Then you can set you pets as a defense while you stroll in and get the loot, if your really lucky you get a misson complete then if not kill some guards.

    Reason I always do it this way is that you're more likely to get killed while you plit your forces between door and ambushes. Plus most of the time as ong as no player character enters the vault room (room containing vault door) the ambushes don't spawn.

    Done this for a Bots/Dark for most of 38 levels, not failed me yet.
  4. Bots/Dark

    I open with a simaltaneous Tar Patch and my Pets Alpha. Or with a Boss heavy spawn/longbow with Darkest Night/Alpha/Tar Patch.

    My pets don't tank, period. However they do take down most mobs with ridiculous ease. Long Bow and some of the demon types being an exception, even then I don't expect to lose more than one or two in a mission.

    If while teaming I was told to play differently based on someone elses perception of my AT, or recollections of dev posts, I would ignore the bossy person. If they kicked me from the team it would be their loss.

    My recollection of the beta dev posts are this: There was a discussion that was replied to on tanking where a dev said that MMs could tank quite as effectivly as a Brute. And another where another dev said that you could equate a MM to a Tank, but there were no direct comparisons between CoH ATs and CoV ATs.

    Should I expect a blaster to remain at range, a scrapper not to have a taunt skill, a tank not to attack, a defender not to blast, I could go on. Because a MM can tank doesn't mean he should, there may well be a better tactic, than needlessly spending pets.

    And whilst I don't hold tanking against the people who do play their MM this way equally those people shouldn't be holding my playstyle against me. This can be said for any AT or build and its something that should be noted.
  5. Don't think it does though, I'll check next time.

    8-Scrapper TF

    SS TFs are just way too long.

    Never done Citadel, or the one that starts in FF (well I don't remember doing it.) Heck I haven't done sister psyche yet.

    Bastion (Starts in Bricks?) is a little short.

    Eden trial would be fun, as would the sewer trial. 150 Rikti FTW
  7. Bots/Dark

    Have Tactics and Assault.

    Went without stamina for 28+ levels, but in long fights found that while my pets were fine I ran out of end so fast I ended up losing Shadow Fall. Now I've got Stamina I can last even an extended fight with no real issue. It also helps when something tries to drain my END.

    I have a level 12 alt, Bots/Traps and he won't be taking stamina due to far fewer powers being essential from Traps.

    And I suspect when i create my Bots/FF they will take stamina.

    8-Scrapper TF

    Was fun, I agree but can the next one be just in big spacious maps? I hate fighting in tunnels, and when I can't even get to the mob because there are too many people all hitting it....

    But yeah was fun.
  9. Lost Ninja

    Build advice?

    After 32 Prot Bots do well with a disorient duration too. Means their little seeker drone things can really get into the action.
  10. Lost Ninja

    Broadsword -def

    You'd be better off slotting for ACC and DMG, the debuff really isn't worth it.
  11. If they con higher than their level does that give or mean that they have any advantage based on their con color, like LTs. Or is it purely their colors?

    If I'm a scrapper stalking an MM with those con color minions shoul;d I be treating them as their actual levels or as their con levels?
  12. Doh...

    I thought I was 37 not 38

    However if they all spawn as LTs does that mean they have the LT level bonus ie +1 to what the are leveled at?
  13. Though I had posted this before:

    I have seen it said many times that after a certain level (20s) when you summon your pets, you tier one pets are two levels below you, your tier two pets are one level below you and your tier three is of an equal level.

    However mine aren't, and I've just logged in pretty much to check my facts. T1 are -1, T2 are equal and T3 is +1.

    Is there something wrong (right) with my pets? Or has something changed and many people not noticed it?
  14. Lost Ninja

    Scrapper combo?

    Sappers are easy....

    Now those damn ring mistresses and their -regen attack horrible. Plus it seems to be an auto hit as it hits every time and last time I fought one I had 12 small purple pills.
  15. Lost Ninja

    Scrapper combo?

    OTOH Reflexes its all or nothing, sure its less likely to hit but when it does it all hits and you have no chance of regening the damage. Especially if the hit is a toggle dropper. Arguably Inv is better because even if it hits it will have some resisted.
  16. Lost Ninja

    8-Scrapper TF

    Having just completed Hess for the first time. If someone desperatly needs my spot I can give it up. But would like to do the TF again.
  17. Actually if you want control nothing beats DM.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    edit: Aparently its fixed...

    Lui one little tip here, Study Leave is for study, so that you pass your GCSEs. If you don't you'll be stuck in some dead end job and be unable to afford to play CoX....

    Wait what am I saying, don't study fail those GCSEs you know you want to.

  19. Ah well thanks all for the advice, we;ve rerolled and are now going for Fire/Dev...
  20. Whats the levels on this?

    Have several different characters that could do it, obviously depending on the levels. But put me down for something.

    Scrappers DM/Rgn or BS/Rgn
    Blaster AR/Dev (Depending on how I go might have a fire/ice too)
    Defenders Kin/Dark (with heal but no damage) Kin/Nrg (no heal does have recall friend)
  21. If I have it running and run into a mob, then run back from them, how long does the debuff last? Does it go as soon as I am no longer standing next to them or does it hang around a bit?
  22. Flash Freeze?

    Freezing touch is a single target hold, that I have to get into melee range to use. Plus it costs 10 end. If I have END I don't need a panic power, fire will kill them quickly enough . If I have no end I'm dead anyway as I couldn't activate the power. But I'll have a look at it when I get to that sort of level.

    Is chilling embrace any good? It sounds useful, but I don't play with many */ice blasters so I don't have any knowlege of it.
  23. Yeah looking for advice for a planned Fire/Ice build:

    01) --> Fire Blast==> Acc(1) Acc(3) Dmg(3) Dmg(5) Dmg(5) EndRdx(43)
    01) --> Chilblain==> Acc(1) Immob(7)
    02) --> Fire Ball==> Acc(2) Acc(7) Dmg(9) Dmg(9) Dmg(11) EndRdx(45)
    04) --> Flares==> Acc(4) Acc(11) Dmg(13) Dmg(13) Dmg(15) EndRdx(27)
    06) --> Hover==> Fly(6)
    08) --> Fire Breath==> Acc(8) Acc(17) Dmg(19) Dmg(19) Dmg(21) EndRdx(36)
    10) --> Chilling Embrace==> EndRdx(10) EndRdx(21) EndRdx(23) Slow(23) Slow(50)
    12) --> Swift==> Run(12)
    14) --> Fly==> EndRdx(14) EndRdx(15) Fly(17) Fly(25) Fly(25)
    16) --> Health==> Heal(16)
    18) --> Blaze==> Acc(18) Acc(29) Dmg(29) Dmg(31) Dmg(31) EndRdx(46)
    20) --> Stamina==> EndMod(20) EndMod(31) EndMod(33)
    22) --> Ice Patch==> Rechg(22) Rechg(33) Rechg(33)
    24) --> Build Up==> Rechg(24) Rechg(34) Rechg(34)
    26) --> Blazing Bolt==> Acc(26) Acc(27) Dmg(34) Dmg(36) Dmg(36)
    28) --> Assault==> EndRdx(28)
    30) --> Tactics==> EndRdx(30) TH_Buf(37) TH_Buf(37) TH_Buf(39)
    32) --> Inferno==> Acc(32) Acc(39) Dmg(39) Dmg(40) Dmg(40)
    35) --> Aim==> Rechg(35) Rechg(43) Rechg(43)
    38) --> Rain Of Fire==> Dmg(38) Dmg(40) Dmg(42)
    41) --> Repulsion Field==> EndRdx(41) EndRdx(42) EndRdx(42)
    44) --> Personal Force Field==> DefBuf(44) DefBuf(45) DefBuf(45)
    47) --> Force of Nature==> Rechg(47) Rechg(48) Rechg(48) DmgRes(48) DmgRes(50) DmgRes(50)
    49) --> Stealth==> EndRdx(49)

    I'll be using it in a team with another blaster, either as a duo or in hopefully a large all blaster team. The duo will be with another blaster with an identical build. Why I plan on taking assault/tactics (+21% damage/+22.02% Acc). Oh and no PvP, PvE only build. + I already messed it up, took AS instead of Hover.

    Specifically trying to stay out of melee, (why I haven't taken alot of the melee Ice powers. But as this is my first non Nrg/AR/Dev build I know nothing

    I'll be using a funky fly/hover switcher to use hover only for firing from, and fly for movement.
  24. I forgot

    Last time I did it, was before the herding caps were introduced, we had 2/3 tanks and we herded all the mobs by the first wall down the big hole. Then the tanks continually herded the new spawns down the hole while we got on with the wall. We actually failed on the titan, but to see that entire last room herded as one huge mob.
