I'm of the mind that the whole engine needs something of an overhaul, its been a while since the last engine over haul which was IIRC with the release of CoV or around that time. And I know every now and then some of the settings that can be set change a bit (see i12
). But the whole engine is beginning to look a bit dated. On top of which there are so many things the current engine seemingly cannot do, which IMO would make the game more immersive.
Animated hair, who cares (besides GG)? Certainly not me, but looking at some of the graphical wonders that other games give us I wonder how long it will be until people stop playing because CoH looks ugly. -
I'm lucky here I use a visa electron (under the visa option) to pay for my game time. However to make playing EVE cheaper I bought time codes online from the US. The site I used was shattered crystal. Now I did check when I first read this thread and they don't have any EU time cards for CoH.
However I emailed them a link to this thread and explained the issues that some people where having and the chap who replied said he would pass the idea onto the management.
I don't know if this will pan out, I don't expect everyone to use it if it does. But it might be an idea. If it does work you buy the code from them and they then email the code to you so you don't have to wait for a physical card to arrive. As I said I bought EVE GTCs from them and over several dozen purchases I never had any issues. -
Seems odd that people are complaining at NCSoft who have zero control over this, sure they could have said something earlier but ultimate responsibility rests with the people running Maestro and your banks. Perhaps complaining to them might be a slightly better option than complaining at people who can't do anything to really help.
Personally if my bank did this to me I'd find a different bank. If they want to make money off me they'd better provide me with a service that is useful. -
Played a scrapper to fifty, another to 40+ and a third is well on the way to 40. I though when villains was released that I'd enjoy brutes too. I loved the idea of fury and being able to scrap with tanker sets. My highest brute so far is probably 12. I just can't get the handle on why I dislike them so much, I actually prefer stalkers to brutes and I dislike them quite a bit too.
As for WP/Regen. I have played two regens to 38+ and a single WP who hasn't hit 32. For fun I prefer regen, I don't have expensive toggles, it has virtually no down time... except when I get overcome by scrapper lock and at that point I'm eating floor so I can rest safely. And now MoG is a true level 38 power Regen just rocks.
However if I were to recreate my scrappers all would be Will Power, mainly due to the fact I like the iea behind WP much more, plus the mixture of regen, defence and resistance just seems to work thematically so much better. -
Looks at Night Crawler...
Powers that are part attack part movement.
Looks at that Knife Missile that's been following me around.
Powers that have no visible effect of usage but do amazing things, eg the manipulation fields that a lot of the intelligent entities have in the Culture books (Ian M Banks).
Heck I like a lot of the powers that are in the game now I just wish you could switch off the stupid glowy lighting effects. -

Samuraiko is quite good as making vids. That one was exceptional. We also have our own quite good movie maker here as well

We do? -
A Malta PP for male characters and a KoA PP for female characters. Both include an outfit for those fun little knees ups that you can unlock to attend.

Maybe if we moved it to europe...
i13 Paragon City is now on a small island off Amsterdam...
A meaningless arbitrary in game value is still a meaningless in game arbitrary figure even if you call it meters. -
I could see the point of giving VEATs an inherent travel power but to remove suppression would be over powered IMO.

Perhaps she has better things to do than just CoH/CoV videos.
Looking at http://www.samuraikoproductions.com she does. -
I use macros too but /signed as this would be easier and make more sense.

Cave maps make me sick... but thats not quite the same thing

You get a name change free with the move if there is character with the same name already on the server you move to.... handy if you think ahead.

Curious - why not use a credit card to pay for the sub? Set up a standing order with your bank to pay off the credit card each month and it's all more or less automatic, with no additional charges.
[/ QUOTE ]going brank rupter will not let you have any credit cards for a while due to the fact i got to rebuild my credit

His name is Montague Castellano, or something similar.
[/ QUOTE ]
Montague Castanella; his story arc has 6 missions, at the end of it you will be granted access to Midnight Club, and Cimerora using an Ouroboros Crystal. After completing his story arc, you can access through any of the Midnight Club waypoints (Steel Canyon, Croatoa and Founders Falls).
Btw, if you have any villains, the story arc comes from a contact called Ashley McKnight, in Cap Au Diable in front of the University, it has only 3 missions.

Odd on my villain I did an arc that started in Sharks Head. -
Maestro/Switch only checks the payment server to find out if you have funds available if the amount requested is over a certain amount. that amount is generally set by the retailer, eg Co-op in leeds used to have this set to £50, thus buying goods for under £50 would get cleared whereas over £50 and the card would be declined.
Solo however ignored the trader limit and requested authorisation regardless of that limit, in the above case it would check even if the sale was for £1.99...
As a note I tested the above system quite a bit with my old bank, it was useful to be able to buy food shortly before payday.
I understand that visa electron is similar in relation to the visa debit cards, though I haven't tested this so can't confirm. -
Sooner one part of the player base stops telling the other part how to play the better.

So that's what is wrong with The Phantoms... phew I though it was something else.

No, really - it doesn't taste nice - but I think a lot of people drink it for the effects rather than the taste

You can get same effects from sniffing other substances... best yet they don't make you want to gip after ten sniffs, and the hangover is either negligible or manageable. -

The reason why I say NOW is because i didnt know when the patch came in (I was away from the game for half a year a few months back) but as Liz said, it could possibly be obsolite by now.

Assuming you didn't start playing until the EU launch then it has always been in for you. The delay was added when they added the ability to change costumes and indeed have more than one which was something like i1/i2... EU launched with i3. -
