If they don't merge the markets before the expansion they may as well with it. As after that it will be too easy to just go rogue and take you umptean billion inf across the divide and spend spend spend.

My main has been in game since shortly before i4. I have all of the anniversary badges... but my total is just shy of 350. I think that all the badges I dont havea chance at getting, PvP mainly, should be taken off those people who have them so I have a chance of getting a good badge count too.
Yes I am being sarcastic. -
Guild Wars is already pretty much a single player game while levelling. Making CoH one too would not be a good idea IMO. Making it easier for people to solo will just mean its even harder to find teams.
-
Damn
Well that will really encourage me to re-sub my accounts then. -
I can't honestly say I care one or another about badges. One or two I tend to get for character look reasons so I can set their badge title but that's about it.
One thing I did like about badges was that people could get something few others had. This change IMO is a step in the wrong direction. By making it so that all players can have all badges without great difficulty you're diminishing the game. -

For users with multicore CPU's changing the shortcut target to include -renderthread 1 should activate CoX multithreaded mode.

I never knew that one for multicores, thanks ^^

Yep .. that bit *was* a good tip
Thanks from me too

Must admit thought had been patched in long since so it works automagically now...
And which .exe do I add that to? Currently use:
CityOfHeroes.exe -project "eucoh"
Can I just append it onto that? -
Unlikely. Though support might add it manually.
-
Will that happen even if you don't log in the characters that are pacted? So 1 & 2 are pacted together. 1's account goes out of credit but I don't log in 2 until 1 is subbed again.
-
Could I possibly have one? No rush or anything.
Using my current avatar as a basis with a couple of changes. DM/Regen (so no sword) and her eyes are blue in reality (game).
Link to orginal of my avatar.
Can we get these on T-shirts yet? Really want a plushie too but that can wait.
BTW what software do you use? Original format of the artwork?
Oh and any chance of a Cutified Jurassic/Babbage/Greater Devoured Desktop?
Or just a Cutifed Greater Devoured. -
Actually it was probably FFM landing back here... all that weight hitting one forum...
-
Thanks for the great app & passing it on rather than abandoning and leaving us all poorer. -
Back before last I quit the game I had several duos in levelling pacts. Since I returned I have played all of them. But when I logged back in on them they all had the message in the chat box 'pact cancelled' (or similar). At the time I only had one of the two accounts paid for.
Question: What acts other than user intervention cancels Levelling Pacts? -
Except we're not turning into WoW and thus won't have any rogues.
-
CoT - Mainly because while everyone else seems to loath them I quite like them...
Lost for obvious reasons.
Rikti fun to fight, except those magus types... they're just evil.
And I have a passing affection for Freaks. -

I don't dislike merits. I do dislike not being able to pool my resources to actually use the few I do have.
[/ QUOTE ]
So a way in which to trade items over globally?
I dont know, personally i just think thats a bad idea. With the MA tickets, the only thing thats global is people ratings so cant be exploited. Merits are VERY exploitable using the right ATs.
[but yeah i see your point and i do KIND of agree because its easy enough to trade over anyway, just . . . . . something (and i dont know what) thats saying no to me]
[/ QUOTE ]
I have 2 accounts, I'm quite capable of using merits to buy something and then securely trade it to the character I want to use the item on. But because I'm not that bothered about running TFs and at the moment I tend to play MA Arcs which are generally more fun than doing content which for the most part I have done at least once before (more often is more likely). I'm not actually earning enough Merits on any one character for it to be of any use. Allowing me to pool my resources on a per account basis would actually allow me to use the much vaunted things. -
What is CoR anyway?
Going Rogue is GR. (Or Grrrrrrr... depending on your view.) -
I don't dislike merits. I do dislike not being able to pool my resources to actually use the few I do have.
-
No limits. You earn them within the correct game structure (eg with no exploits used) then you should be able to use them on any character. For method I'd use a similar claim system to how MA rating tickets work. When you go to a merit vendor all earned Merits for that account are visible.

Either a way to customize in game mobs or body parts/disguises to make normal custom mobs look like existing mobs.
Was trying to create a unique Freakshow boss, I'd be happy to have used the Super Freak EB but I couldn't because of the level restriction. What I really needed was a freak body type that I could adjust like a normal custom mob.
edit:-
Ability to have random boss fight so game just picks one boss from the groups list of bosses. Also add $boss so that you can use the right name of boss in the text. -

@TheMess
Doubt should be PBAoE Aura like the one is Ice Control (Arctic Air?) but with different visuals. -

Just remember that when you move the folder and run the updater, it will prompt on where to install.
It will append the "City of Heroes" itself.
so if you placed it in c:\games\City of Heroes
point the updater to c:\games\

^ That
Just moved from XP to Vista 64 Home Premium myself, and no problems at all with the move.
For some reason the updater shortcut did seem to be prone to changing itself to the US version a few times (just keep an eye out and be ready to change it back!), but after the first week it gave up and stuck with the EU link.

Or not as it never does this for me. -

I kinda hope that if you take a hero for example my lvl 50 Martial Arts scrapper rougue, he can respec with a maybe a new power set say dual guns. That would make him EVIL!!!!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
Very much doubt it. The going rogue is supposed to take your hero/villain and make them rechoose their side not respec them into a completely new character. Which changing one powerset is. -

At least I can be a little bit more like myself rather than the despotic hammer-wielder you've had to endure as of late

Can't you do both?
If you ever need to release some stress on the boards i'll be more than happy to create a "nooby thread", just say the word!
Ontopic: Yes this has seriously got me buzzing about the future of this game, the trailer really was THAT good!

Thought all your threads were n00by.
