Why does Statesman even need a mask at this point? His only living relative is also a super hero, and everyone knows about the familial connection between the two. Everyone else who was in his life is either dead or also a super hero. He has no day job. He has no reason to hide his identity.
Take off the mask, Statesman! -
Venture's arcs are difficult to find without the arc number. A search of his global handle causes anything with the word 'adventure' in the title or description to pop up (wouldn't happen if the @ weren't being ignored by the search engine).

So if I get this right, the only proper thing to do is make a radio mission with freaks on a tiny map? I find myself ripping my hair out at the public outcry as I attempt to satisfy them. *facefault*

Your arc has more than one word in it! And it uses a lot of big words with more than one syllable! ZERO STARS FOR YOU!!!! -
If I had any visual artistic ability whatsoever I'd submit Statesman vs. Television. But I don't, so I'm not

Council Empire: Rise of the Maquis
Arc ID 15988
Suggested morality: Heroic
Difficulty: very solo friendly, Council Empire no custom mobs
Level range: 40-50
Length: Very long (4 missions)
A recon mission to Council Earth could begin the destruction of the Council Empire, thanks to an unexpected ally.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fixed a typo and I'm using it as a flimsy pretext to pimp my arc a bit. -
See, I think a catgirl MM needs Fling Furry: you throw a small catgirl at the target. The catgirl proceeds to glomp the target, blinding them and doing moderate smashing damage. Think of what the Redcaps do, only the catgirl wouldn't explode at the end.

Tweaked and republished
Council Empire: Rise of the Maquis
Arc ID 15988
Suggested morality: Heroic
Difficulty: easy, very solo friendly
Level range: 40-50
Length: Very long (4 missions)
A recon mission to Council Earth could begin the destruction of the Council Empire, thanks to an unexpected ally.
Removed the two "defeat all" mission objectives, so hopefully it looks less intimidating. Feedback appreciated. -

Feedback would be appreciated. -
Published Black Sunrise on live, arc ID 2693.
Feedback would be appreciated. I've only heard from two people and while I'd like to believe I've created the perfect arc, my ego won't allow it -

One of the "upcoming" MMOs appears to have solved the 'non-Atlantis' underwater zone problem. *shrugs*
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, and it currently looks like a fish aquarium. A huge one, to be sure, but an aquarium none the less. The only thing missing from the plastic plants is a deep sea diver standing next to a treasure chest that opens to let out bubbles.
Yeah, I'd like to see an underwater zone here. But I'd like to see one that at least tries not to look like something you'd see in a pet store. -

do we have all the council as arch villans options?
[/ QUOTE ]
Everyone except The Center, but then he's only in the game as a sort of contact.
Which is handy, since tonight I started pondering creating an arc where you help form a resistance movement on Council Earth. Steinbeck can do that, you know. -

Everyone should say, "Well, Foo!" all the time.
I'm now thinking there should be a mission where all anyone ever says is "Foo", kinda like in Being John Malkovich, where he travels into his own head and everyone is him.
This is a great idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, now that you mention it, my follow up arc will have Foo in it, with two big plot points:
1. Foo will be loud, angry, and have access to a time machine.
2. Whenever Foo's not onscreen, all the other NPCs will be asking "Where's Foo"?
That should address your concerns.

How about if Foo is a robot driving instructor who travels back in time for some reason? And his sidekick is a taking pie! -
Tweaked and re-published Black Sunrise. More feedback from people would be appreciated.

Was defending the truck too hard or too easy?
[/ QUOTE ]
i thought that was just right one problem was the main boss was like far from objective i had more trouble finding boss than truck
[ QUOTE ]
was there anything you didn't like?
[/ QUOTE ]
No i thought the map was perfect for it and i really liked the photon commanders
[ QUOTE ]
That's something I expect. Unfortunately this is based off of game canon and Malta is unavoidable in relation to the knights of Malta (see here for the explanation). This arc is actualy part 2 of 3, but I did it first because I could make Malta less involved in the missions.
[/ QUOTE ]
after i read crimson i understood yea have to use malta
ONE MAJOR QUESTION
how did u do it so there were no sappers in any of the missions?
I was amazed
[/ QUOTE ]
The separation between the boss and the truck is random, I'm afraid. Not really anything I can do to change it since the "front/middle/back" placement doesn't work for outdoor maps.
As to the lack of sappers, while I'd love to take credit for that (and be forever known and loved as the man who banished Sappers, heh), it's just random. When I played through a test run of the arc I encountered a sapper guarding the infiltrator in that mission, but no other sappers. I think if I used a bigger map there would be more chance of them spawning. -

Black Sunrise
by @Lord NightBlade
Arc ID: 16110
Length: Very long (although 3 of the missions can be finished pretty quickly)
Morality: Heroic
Description: Help the Knights of Malta solidify their independence from Malta by thwarting a nuclear blackmail scheme!
Please let me know if the story is confusing or if it seems heavy handed or if anything is too difficult. I haven't gotten any feedback on it so I don't know what works and what doesn't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Rating: 4.5 stars
Heres why: i dislike malta although you used them in a fun way ( i like your shield malta bosses)

[ QUOTE ]
I dont know why but i think crey is more interested in nukes than malta...dont ask why
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds like personal preference, but consider that Malta has a major presence in Warburg. Still, I've never been confidant that Malta would resort to something as unsophisticated as nuclear blackmail. I'll have to see if I can think of something else.
[ QUOTE ]
first three missions i could stealth tru too easy maybe have anti stealth put in
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm...I've been thinking of adding a couple more glowies to the first mission. I'll have to play around with the maps for it, too. For some reason the objective keeps spawning on the first floor on the one I have selected.
I could make the second mission a defeat all. I think the map is small enough that it wouldn't be annoying.
The third is a defeat all, but I don't know that it can be stealthed. Maybe if I downgrade the Gunslinger ally from a boss to lieutenant it'll make things a touch harder. Maybe a larger map would be good, too, but it is a Malta mission...
[ QUOTE ]
i never liked timed missions but good job on map
[/ QUOTE ]
Nothing adds a sense of urgency like a 30 minute timer! Was defending the truck too hard or too easy? Also, if someone could fail it and tell me what they think of the mission failed text, I'd appreciate it.

fourth mission with black sun
LIked: photon commanders. shield boss, map
Disliked: i felt that contact told me attack black sun and i assumed one boss then found multiple..never like stories like that
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll tweak the mission briefing to include the two bosses. Apart from that, was there anything you didn't like?
[ QUOTE ]
Overall it was very fun and i would do it again
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks
I'll make some tweaks when I get home later tonight (working weekends sucks)

I wanted one each of the Art Fiends to be protecting each of the artists, with no other enemies in the mission, but I don't think it can be done (if you can prove me wrong, let me know!).
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably can't be done that way, but as an alternative you could make all of the minions/lieutenants/bosses the art fiend wannabes. -

Those have been there for two issues now. I've been wondering myself.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's been there much longer than that. Forum consensus is that it will eventually be a spaceport, much like the mysterious construction in Port Oakes behind the arena. -
[ QUOTE ]
Sssooo, wait, does that mean we have to start getting out of VU2008 and move to 09 immediately, or what? I mean, 2 virtue channels might be a bit much =/ When will 08 be deleted/locked/whatever?
[/ QUOTE ]
Global channels can't be deleted, and inactive users can't be booted out. That's why the VU2008, VU2009, etc. was started. It's a way to clear out anyone who no longer plays. When it started, the original VirtueUnited's MOTD was changed to tell people to move to the new channel. Same thing will probably be done here, if it hasn't already.
I will admit, though, that I wasn't expecting the move until January. -
That is awesome. Plain and simple awesome.

Either that, or I start bartering my video talents in exchange for artwork... no idea how many artists would take me up on that, though.

I hereby propose that you and I start the "Broke-A** Commissioners'" Charity, a non-profit designed to provide artwork to underprivelaged forumites. Starting with ourselves, naturally.
Come on, people! Have a heart, give us art. -
We are the Borg. Your Halloween shall be assimilated. Your trick or treat distinctiveness shall be added to our own. Your candy shall adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Hmmm...I got this, but haven't been able to break free of Spore long enough to experiment with it. But I'm glad Halloween is coming, because with the targeting optics I can make me a rippingly good Borg drone costume.
