Awwwwwwww. I liked Jinks
Also, is it just me, or do the WH13 writers really like ending their seasons with explosions? -

Quote:Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically... run. That pretty much happened with the first episode with Amy when the guardians of Prisoner Zero showed up and were about to raze the planet to get him and The Doctor gets their attention and basically says, "I'm The Doctor, search your records for what that means, oh, and by the way... run." And they did.

Quote:I would guess they went with time travel over space because of the BBC series Outcasts. Not sure about that show at all really. Yeah dinosaurs are cool and all (I used to have lots of books about them back when I was a young kid.) but it just seems a little too odd for me. Just seems that space travel would be easier to develop than punching a time-space wormhole 85 million years into the past.
Might just have a give the first episode a view to see what's what though. -
Being FOX, I'd say slim to none. Those guys will cancel anything that the execs don't really understand. If it's just successful enough to keep going for a few seasons, they'll probably juggle its time slot around to force the ratings to tank and justify cancellation.

The reflective shield was down when the astronaut came out of the lake, so we couldn't see who was inside. The reveal in the following episode kind of implied that the suit's occupant was the little girl, but no one ever said with any certainty that she did shoot the Doctor.

That he did. But, as others have pointed out previously, there have been gaps of time between some of the episodes. It's quite possible that the Doctor ran into the Ganger and they've switched places.

My only gripe with Eureka is that Taggart is leaving the town yet again. I love the buddy dynamic he has going with Carter and it sucks that he's going...wherever (if the writers say he's going walkabout again I'll have to smack them).

Quote:Well, Psych finally had Shawn and Juliet start dating after four (five?) seasons. And it didn't really take away from the show, it just replaced the Will-They-Or-Won't-They drama with dating drama. If anything, their dating makes the show's relationships more complicated and interesting than they were before.I get that. I'm just always disappointed because no tv shows are willing to break the mold. So we get season after season of watching the leads balk. It eventually sours me on shows.
Castle could potentially do the same thing with Castle/Beckett. It could open up a lot of interesting areas for the writers to explore. After all, the unrequited love angle does eventually get tiring. -
I think the people of Paragon have a new anthem. All Glory to [insert name here]!

Quote:Isn't there a Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots movie in the works though?Saw the trailers for this flick and the first thing that popped into my mind was, "They made a movie based on Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots?". According to wikipedia, it appears that it's based on a short story from '56.
It does look interesting, I'll give it that. But I just can't seem to get past the resemblence to RESER... -
It's time someone had the courage to stand up and say: I'm against those things that everybody hates!

Michael J. Fox was on Letterman to promote the shoes. Turns out a couple people are also doing a price match for each of the bids.

Quote:Me too. There was a lot of stuff I never would've known about if he hadn't posted it here. And the stories from his old, hellish job were just awesome.i loved and enjoyed reading his posts. they were very interesting to read.
I'll definitely miss him. My condolences to his friends and family. -
Quote:Alternatively it's a great big universe, and we're all really punyJust remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned
A sun that is the source of all our power
The sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour
Of the galaxy we call the Milky Way
We're just tiny little specks, about the size of Mickey Rooney
It's big and black and inky, and we are small and dinky
It's a big universe and we're not -
The Spoony One did a review of it not long ago. The fighting looks well choreographed, but other than that the movie seems to be a big ol' flaming bag of dog crap.
