I'd like to remind everyone that essentially, we're already involved in a gambling game. The moment you defeat an NPC, but don't know exactly what l00t they'll drop, that's already a gamble. I don't think this games needs more gambling than that, thanks.

Sounds like a good way to squeeze more fun out of Kheldians, I'm all for it. I think the set bonuses should revolve around adding resistance to endurance-draining, ToHit debuffs and recharge-slowing since those effects are the most annoying to my Kheldians.

Could be interesting... though I doubt we'll see this happen.

because their base damage is actually decent now.

My statement (in bold) was based on my Lv50 TriFormShade, Dark Absolution on Liberty and the TriFormPB Ascendantia on Infinity who made it to Lv50 before Quants and Voids were nerfed and before I13 and its Kheldians changes. They were, and still are a rollercoaster of one endorphin rush after another, for better and worse. -

And that is the pure awesomeness that could only come from Kheldians! -
Kheldian rednecks?! but I thought we weren't getting color customization in I16...

You said it yourself, "Solo a Kheld if you want a challenge", I'd change the "or" to an "and" and complete your quote: "and a nasty headache"... because quite frankly, Kheldians are demanding and you have to pay attention and the slacking room isn't very big, if at all... but what's wrong with have one AT that's actually a bit of a challenge?!
By the way... I find VEATs very challenging... to my patience. I get too antsy when I play them because they seem too boring for me, so I started a new Widow last night, here's hoping she lasts and doesn't get deleted. -

Your answer being, the majority of humans being lazy and dumb strikes true. Lucky for us we are Kheldians.

Even Kheldians can mess up... I'm told something called LAG is the bane of our existance, even more so than Quantum/Voids and Cysts combined! -
I say time will tell and we'll see what happens a year or two from now...

That's my perception of the problem of course, and YMMV and all that, but still, no one can deny that TriForm Kheldians (or even Human-only) have a playstyle to them that is usually more involved and requires more game-mechanics know-how and ingenuity.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, Khelds are definitely more involved. A couple of weeks back I was on the infamous DR. Q TF with my Triformer WS. No tank on the team, so I was part tank, part blaster, part vampire and was pulverizing the foes. Quite fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
And the chance to mess things up if you're not on top of things, is 3 times than it would be if you had but one role... -
I think you would be more pleased with Dark/Dark Defender since there is no Dark/Dark Blaster, and Warshades seem to require more work than a Dark/Dark Defender although they definitely can pack much much more *OMPH!*
The Dark/Dark Defender is just the more immediate route to go. -
It is, but only for a few seconds because Dwarf Mire stops effecting Novas' blasts pretty quickly after you shift to Nova...

And they do own. But when the general concensus of players who don't know much about Kheldians is they are gimp, it makes me wonder what sort of builds and styles they "have" played with to have such an outlook.
*
I do not believe if the majority of Khelds owned there would be such a unilateral opinion of us being a gimpy AT.
*
I think this fact alone requires we ask ourselves "why is it so?".
[/ QUOTE ]
Here's the thing... to be efficient means to execute the most simple sequence of the most easily repeated actions that gain you the most rewards per activation. I don't care how you build your Kheldian, but a Warshade while being one of the most, if not the most, sophisticated killing machines Blueside, is too sophisticated to be considered "simple" enough to be as efficient as a Scrapper for example.
Most people who have seen me play my TriFormShade in real life and have spent a few minutes to understand my shifting style and the effort I've spent to learn and build my WS are very impressed with the raw carnage that's left in my black/purple wake, but when they see a Scrapper, they still figure the Scrapper is so much simpler to handle, therefore so much more efficient... good luck diffusing that bomb mate!
That's my perception of the problem of course, and YMMV and all that, but still, no one can deny that TriForm Kheldians (or even Human-only) have a playstyle to them that is usually more involved and requires more game-mechanics know-how and ingenuity. -
I think generally speaking, every combination is enjoyable all the way from Lv1 to Lv50... but different combinations match different people... so if you start out by figuring what it is you like to do in the game, it'd be easier to recommend an AT/power-set combination?
Some questions to guide you:- Are you a team-player, or do you like to mostly solo?
- How do you like to deal with enemies? Defeat them with brute, raw force, or survive through cunning and strategy?
- Are you interested in facing the enemies as a one-man-wrecking crew, or are you interested in having pets/minions?
- Do you like melee... or ranged combat?
- Do you like buffing yourself (and your teammates) or weakening your enemies to reach victory?
- Are you a team-player, or do you like to mostly solo?

They really need to make a 'Master of ITF' badge. People certainly play it enough to warrant some kind of extra challenge for them. Ya know... make things interesting....
[/ QUOTE ][/list]I think that before they introduce some more challenges, they should fix the lag. Honestly, the lag on the ITF was a test to my patience at times and I remember several incidents when I was standing knee-deep in Cimeroran traitors wondering if I'd recover from the lag spike just in time to hit my self-heals, or had my character faceplanted already and I need to get ready to hit my self-rez?! -
All my Kheldians, the AT I consider the most complex to run, use keybinds and all three power trays and other tricks... but even on those characters, I've never faced a scenario where I wished I could tell the exact time when a power will become available again.
Combat is either too fast to care about this feature, so the only one type of powers I could think of that could benefit the player from having such a feature, would be resurrecting powers. Even then, since we have inspirations to resurrect ourselves, this feature doesn't seem needed. -
I think Rommie didn't even realize he was supposed to actually fight us!!
So, thanks guys, the ITF was just pure awesome despite the lag, and to have finished it in less than 45 minutes, woah... that's a personal best record for me. Awesome! -
It's not really a matter of agreement/disagreement. There are many ways that an All Kheldian Team can run. It all depends on what the people teaming together are comfortable with. With time, you'll find that an AKT that was hesitant at first, and relied a lot on Pool Powers would become a steamroller and require less and less "support" powers.
It's also very difficult to have everyone perform at peak efficiency when your AKT gathers up once a week, at best, especially if everyone's "main" isn't the Kheldian they're playing... -
Ahhh Dispari, it's all clear now, the Pie was in fact a steampunk/nano-tech device and your future-self was working for none other than You Know Who... so I16 really IS a Neme.... *choking*... *gasp*.... Arghgghhgg.... *bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

AE already gives high rewards

Only on farms. Story-focused MA content lags regular PvE on the reward rate scale because there's no patrol XP.

...and once farms are again more populated outside of AE, the Devs can start contemplating tweaking things in favor of story-focused AE content and increase the rewards there... it CAN all come together nicely. -
