  1. Recently, I have gained control over an old supergroup from a friend of mine who has left the game. Is there any way to re-name the supergroup ? I'd even be willing to buy a "sg re-name token" if such a thing were available. What are my options ? Thanks.
  2. Welcome back, and enjoy.

Exactly, just like the temp powers that are used for the Hamidon nuke raids, but, I suppose that is somehow different than using them in the CoP trial... or is it ?

Gratz to all the PLAYERS who choose to participate, a team without players is no team at all. Good job Champs.
  4. Please be sure to fill up your email with large insperations. You know, after they run out, you can have your friends email you more during the match, so there is no need to conserve them. This is what the winners do already, and if everyone does so, it will even the playing feild a little bit....just make it fast, before it gets nerf'd.
  5. Gratz to you and your crew, you folks always seemed nice to me.

    BMT Redside

So sorry, but Cobalt and cronies are not entitled to have any kind of monopoly over global channels, competition keeps both channels honest. And if some folks choose to be a member of just one channel or the other, thats fine too. Its all about personal choice and giving the players options to make their own decisions about how they like to play and who they want to team with. If folks want to join up, that is their choice, lets respect that someone else might make a different decision than you might, or perhaps hold a differing opinion.

ummm.....how about we wish these guys luck with their endevour regardless of if we want to join their channel or not ? Want to participate, then join, dont want to participate/have too many global channels already-dont join. It really is simple. If the channel members enjoy using it and feel it helps them find team-ups redside, then its worth it to them...now if we can only teach Elf to speak/type in English...naw, never happen. GOOD LUCK GUYS!
  8. Great turnout for a fun event, and a thank you to all who participated. Hosting these events is a learning experience for us as well, and the experience will help you to run smoother in future. Thanks again for a fine event all.
  9. There will always be a max level your characters can attain...if it was level 60, there would be posts "is lvl 60 enough ? lets raise the cap..." its just a matter of accepting there is going to be a limit somewhere. Still, it is fun to imagine what could be possible.....

    Champions united

Is the job of a channel operator to help keep the channel civil, and focused on the job at hand, or to find justifications to silence or kick members ? ...and the "rules are rules" arguement doesnt really wash with me, as I have seen how some get a pass while others get silenced or kicked. He is welcome to moderate his channel as he might see fit, and if others dont like it, they are welcome to leave that channel. Just quit trying to justify their repressive cronyism. I know what I saw going on in the channel, and my attitude towards it isnt based on my friendships, or sg affiliation, or some secret plot to rule the server. I oppose bullying, censorship and oppression, and if that makes me uncool, than so be it. Hang out with the Thought Police all you want to, I will keep my friends far far away from them.

Heavy handed ops want nothing more than to avoid having their actions exposed to further scrutiny. I am sure we will hear plenty of "you guys suck too" but that doesnt really speak to the matter at hand does it ?

The point is some ops think that players need hand-holding and censorship. As an adult and veteran gamer, I require neither. Keeping silent only allows this censorship to continue. I prefer an open exchange of ideas among players, where they are allowed to express themselves without undue restrictions by a lofty few. I am not saying there should be no rules, but it seems like the operator in question has a history of censoring most while his friends get a total pass. I oppose censorship, and the cool boy rule of the self appointed guardians of authority. Thats why the channel Champions United gets my vote, not because they are the coolest kids on the server, but because all of it members can use the channel as equals without fear of being silenced, kicked, or shouted down for daring to.....chat in a global chat channel. Because all of its members are treated the same regardless of SG affiliations. and because it doesnt matter to the operators if the player is a 1 month veteran, or a 6 year veteran. Rude behaviour isnt tolerated, but use of the channel by everyone is allowed. They dont silence its members for speaking in the channel, or kick members for asking questions about it, that is just a bogus powertrip.

So if you are afraid of different ideas about the game than the ones you already have, and cant handle it when guys have the nerve to tell you something you didnt already know, then please do not join Champion United. But if you would like to have the operators actually help you out, and like to hear about what your in-game peers might think, then join up today. And dont worry, they wont kick you just because you do not agree with them. Or because you are not cool enough to have your opinion count.
  12. I think the general point is, the server seems more dead to the average player who exists outside the cool kids clubs and in-game "famous" presonalities. It is kind of funny to hear "join BMT for a team" meanwhile some of the ops at BMT feel the need to kick members based on their sg memberships, or lack of cool-kid status. There is a certain "us-and-them" attitude, where famous personalities are cool enough to get away whith anything on the forums and in game, while outsiders get trolled until they are intimidated into submission.

The server is not as community oriented as it used to be...of course, I am only a 51 month veteran, so what do I know about it ? I dont think Champion is the community server, I would say it is more the Drama Server. but this is my own opinion on the matter, others are welcome to agree, or disagree as they see fit.
  13. I did, and they just confused me, between all the drama, in-fighting, and self serving "glad we are not as lame as they are" kind of posts, I cant even tell if the event is even going to happen, if its just open to AoW members only, or what. I am not defending Felicia, nor lashing out against AoW, but I had hoped to not have to wade thru the 5 or 6 pages of drama there, and just get a clear answer here.
  14. Are current members of AoW going to participate as well ? Wouldn't that constitute a conflict of interest, as members might be seen as having a unfair advantage in the events, or perhaps preferential treatment from the judges ? Just something to consider.
  15. CD's in current rotation:
    Judas Priest-Sin After Sin
    Metallica-Ride the Lightning
    Motorhead-Ace of Spades
    Corrosion of Conformity-Animosity
    G.B.H.-City Baby Attacked By Rats
    Kiss-Hotter Than Hell
    The Donnas-Skin Tight
    Marc Bolan and T.Rex-the Slider

Last 3 concerts: the Cult.....Dethklok....Alice Cooper.
  16. Thank you all, when mobs are near, I can see the +Def taking effect....I knew there was something about it that was confusing me.
  17. Ok, I am a little confused....the power Invincibility says "offers +Def to all but Psionics..." but when I read at the Combat Attributes menu, it does not show where that power is adding any Def to my toon.....Combat Jumping offers +Def, and when I toggle it off/on, I can see the Attributes changing to reflect the added Def from the power, but it does not show added Def from Invincibility. Am I reading the Attribute page incorrectly ? Do I have a bug ? or does Invincibility no longer offer +Def anymore ?

    Gratz ! to P.o.N

I would personally like to thank, first and foremost, the rank and file membership of Protectors of Neverland, they are the ones in the front line trenches, doing mishes and TF's, without them it wouldnt matter anyway....and secondly, the members (and leaders) of other supergroups who were kind enough to give us a Gratz here at the forums, thanks guys for exhibiting some sportsmanship; it really was just about setting and achieving a goal for ourselves, we are under no illusions that #1 means any more than that.
  19. you sound like a fanboy to me. fact of the matter is, i am not a pvp player, but the pvp situation is not the only example of how the devs ignore player feedback. nor am i the only player who thinks that the only opinion the devs care about are the ones that reinforce their existing ideas...but keep defending their "honor" or whatever it is, maybe they will buy you dinner after. They DID NOT nerf pvp due to player demand. they did not remove the C.o.P. trial because of player demand. If you can show me a post where players wanted the base raiding feature turned off, please post the link here. was the "global defense nerf" due to player outcry too ? please continue to act like they are doing you a favor by nerfing your toons, and making your powersets less effective.
  20. you guys are right, the devs love player feedback, and jump right on it, how could i ever have not seen this was the case. i suppose that all the folks that think otherwise are just being big babies.
  21. Oh, and one final point to make.....you list 7 items of note as examples of how responsive to player feedback developers have been, but if you read these items closely, you will notice that 3 of the 7 are called "potential" changes that are "in the pipeline".....we were not talking about how responsive they could have been, or say they will be in the future, so your example shows they are responding to player feedback (on minor issues) a little over half the time. I suppose that is better than not at all.
  22. Not directed at anyone in particular, but, did anyone ever consider that player greed may in fact be why prices have jumped ? If greed is the root of most evils, then farming MUST be from the Debil.....the Debil I say. So burn the witch, burn burn burn !!!
  23. You actually care what kind of average rating your mishes get ? and the only way it isnt 5 stars is because of a deliberate plot to lower your rating ? Is this a trick or something ?!?
  24. Oh, and another thing....."feel wronged because Positron slapped my wrist..." is really super funny to me. I have never been banned, had my account locked, kicked from forums, had M.A. missions nerfed, characters deleted, nothing. Perhaps my opinion is based on 4 years of playing the game, but I understand that it may not be EVERYONES opinion. In any case, it certainly is not because I am mad for being disiplined.
