The costume contests got a little delayed in the Christmas shuffle. (Not that I can complain much. As good as life is it can get overwhelming and I ran away on a spontaneous vacation instead of pestering for activities.)

But all is not lost. Far from it. The Real World Hero drive is still strong this year because of the warm hearts and tender kindness of City Of Heroes players. Bless you, one and all, for sharing of your abundance or sacrificing during your want so that a stranger in need can be uplifted from despair.

I have assurances from the Wentworths that they have plans for some promotions in the final week. Please look forward to it!

Personally I am waiting to hear an actual decision on allowing the Super Pack costume pieces to be make available for purchase by bundle and a-la-carte.

(Side note: I'm still rooting for the right to purchase costume pieces separately to be a VIP-only option.)

As such, the new change that Super Packs will have added availability by using Paragon Tokens is neutral news to me.

The stated intent of Super Packs originally was to add incentive to spend Paragon Points. But by making it accessible by Paragon Token, the current strategy appears to be increasing the backlog of unspent Paragon Points (gained by the purchase to acquire Paragon Tokens) rather than diminishing it. Oh, well.

I am returning to "Wait And See" mode.

I have pictures like that; and yes, they're heartbreaking. It's understandable if you don't want to share pictures yet. But personally all pictures from tube-bundled baby to birthday-suit bath are equally precious.

Well, after a week of problems and troubleshooting the verdict is that the motherboard and CPU need to be replaced on the main computer. (RAM too, but that is dependent on the motherboard.)

*** My knowledge of motherboards is rather out of date. Please help suggest ideas! ***

This is the main gaming PC, two monitors on one GPU, which needs to be able to handle City Of Heroes easily plus other new MMOs released through 2012, and basic internet browsing.

Preferably new 2011 technology under $500 USD; though not necessarily top-of-the-line, released-in-December new. The machine is sorely missed already, so I am trying to find a full motherboard (not micro) & CPU that are easily available. First choice would be to be able to order a replacement part that is in-stock now at NewEgg, ready to ship to USA.
