I do know websites and databases very well... but no prob if you don't want too... I leave it...

Took me hours of thinking and researching I can better spend somewhere else then.

Just interested and trying to make it as good as can be.

For instance.. go for nationality.. and if you leave it out on even a few, it will not be a trusty category. You will also need for aliens. And it will have to be a Category that gets a huge sub category list. Will be cool to add a flag of the country to every country sub category too.

Also.. think now on how to call them... English, American etc.. or UK, USA... or England, United States... That should be decided on before making them... Even when descided some will make a new country category and do it a different way anyway. So the mods will have to change it to keep them all the same name resolution. So they will have to change the category on the profile. And you just said several times you dont like that without explicit go-a-head from you.

Also when people link to English.. while the category is called England.. English should become a redirector to England. Or be a red link. And red links are dead links.. either to be repaired or removed. Ok.. with a good redirector for every country category made... changing profiles will not be needed. Unless there is a typo in the category placed.

The final category should have a few lines on the country and an external wikipedia link towards the complete wikipedia page or a short explenation if its a non-excisting country or planet.

And what about nationelised citizens? Liz was born in Hungray.. which is now Slovaky... while she lives in Rogue Isles. What is her nationality?

So hermaphrodite becoames 'intersex' and no sex is 'third gender'

that was the motivation and what I dit...

Raises two questions then...

- Do we keep the category 'sexuality' or remove it on all pages? (As category, not in the profile itself)
- What word are we going to use for a character that has no sexual organs like some Angels and/or Demons, and maybe an odd alien or two. And intersex as term instead of hermaphrodite is oke by me... missed the part where it said it had become the preferred word.

These should be descided on... before we do anything else with it. I will get Z on msn asap for this. And i like to read youre opinion on it here. Please give one so we can count votes.

hmm.. let me say first that I thought it was ok to change some. Obviously I missed the last remark until after I did the changes in Z's talk page.. or I would have waited.

My motivation on this...
I totally agree that sexuality shouldn't be a category at all.. It's not needed to be. Were not americans who need to place people in corners for stuff like that. But...

As we already had it. It had to be on the template and on everyone or else the whole category would be unnecisary as it wouldn't be complete.

The transgender was placed under the original LGBT category as sexuality. I left it there.
Intersex is defined on the wiki pages as a being with both genders but both non-developed and thus as none, while hermaphodite is having both genders fully functional. If there is a better name for physically without sex... lets hear it. As we need that option.

Ok.. if it was up to me I would go for leaving this sexuality category totally out. It's not needed and sometimes even unwanted. We're not a dating side anyway. I just made it more logical based on what we had.

ps. As its now roughly setup. We can make a solid descision on this after a good discussion. We should do that real soon because adding category tags to pages will become harder and harder with more pages being added every day.
pps. A dbase using categories should always have records that fit in one. Or else you will get 'floating' records. Thats the whole point of a category.
pps. Also noticed that some don't know the difference between sex and sexuality... as there sometimes is filled in male at sexuality. I haven't repaired any of those mistakes though.

pssst... if I did anything wrong. Accept my appologies. Adding a new category that involves all profiles isn't easy. I just went on auto on it.

On Attributes...

Use the in-game power levels or those you have at least planned to get.
Use common sense.. if youre character is on parr with Recluse and Statesman as leader of an SG or something.. Go for that, if not... be realistic. A scrapper or an archer is hard to get to superhuman levels.

I'm a bit of a completist and am easily annoyed with errors in linking. I also am an experienced site builder and have made some dbases in my time. As such I just couldn't resist repairing or enhancing some categories etc. Even though I'm not a moderator!

I even find myself going through the dead link page to repair those. I'm a bit wacko that way...

Sounds fun... heavy on the play though... Not for the players with low RAM I gather.

I have my main 50 and roleplay SG 'Court of the Blood Countess' on UNION Villains.. but as I was full there and liked some balance.. me and a some of alts from my SG just started a RP SG on DEFIANT Heroes (Global Justice) and a slower starting one on DEFIANT Vilains (Desperados).

I'm so curious if we are able to pull it off and break in the Roleplay unto the DEFIANT server.

I will actually switch two rooms tonight for even better layout. That will be hard work for those zombies I have running around as servants.. But it will be worth it. Maybe even upgrade the defences in the dungeons too.

My name is Elizabeth Balthory.. I'm the one that started this lil court up. The Court of the Blood Countess is a fun playing friendly Sg that keeps busy with more then casual Role play. Something that is easy to do as were a themed SG. Themed in the Gothic Horror... Meaning we have vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, demons, creepy aliens, psychiotic killers, and mad scientists in our ranks.

Base is also build to reflect this roleplay while being completely practical in use.

I play two now...

One is a Force Field / Energy Blast. I combo him with TP, Medicine, Flight, concealment... making him slow in playing but practicly invulnerable so he can always help his team. Solo will still work very well..

The other is an Archery / Trick Arrow... Combined with Speed (Hasten), Tp (lateron), fitness. By taking archery it is less heavy on the animation time (Ihe doesnt have to put away / take his bow every time), hasten and swift makes him so fast in shooting... all damage stack... combined with fitness the end drain is the lowest I have ever seen on any AT. Just slot lots of acc and damage though... And I keep away from the close combat arrows.

The court of the blood countess is a mainly gothic horror themed VG. Our members are vampires, mad-scientists, zombies, demons, werewolves, ghosts, dragons, banshees, and the occasional pscho-killer.

We strive to become one of the largest and most successfull VG's on UNION. For now we are a tight friendly VG which holds a diversity of different players. Helping out any new players we get, doing occasional PvP, and having regular events like Gladiator fights or social gatherings in Pocket D. The court has a well-based structure and a fully workable base build totally in the gothic horror theme.
