Starting at 16:00 (4PM) Aussie Eastern (Daylight) time in the Hive, all heroes level 45+ are welcome.

Two MMs don't speed up the final mission of Silver Mantis . . .

Not 100% sure what will happen tonight. I wanted to do a master run, but my hardware is still acting up.

Sorry everyone, I don't want to try the Master run this week since I'll be away from home and using my crappy hardware. I'll still be online for some fun, but it'll have to be something less pressured.

Another successful Wednesday under our belts. We started with two teams doing respec trials, and then moved on to tackle a Master ITF. After a false start (an ambush with 20 Nictus bosses can be hard to handle) we went on for a successful Master run.

Next week will follow the same model, starting with something relaxing, and moving on to the Barracuda SF, hopefully a shot at a Master run.

Well, there'll be enough people to do other things besides.

Next week I was thinking about doing some Strike Forces, including trying for one of the Master badges. Who'd be interested in a master SF?

We missed you Snoof, everyone was checking their globals for you. It's too bad you missed it, because we ended the evening in style.

After the second Lady Grey was complete, we spawned a Winter Lord during the Rikti Invasion, smashed them all down, and then went on in to Lord Winter's realm and trounced him too.

Good question! Last week we knocked off the Rikti Ship raid, then did a Winter Lord raid and finished with some missions.

I'm getting sick of this winter event, so I think it's about time we put an end to it. I propose summoning aliens and zombies to chase the Winter Lords out in style.

We'll start the evening with a Lady Grey Task Force or two, not too fast, but not too slow. When the Rikti alert arrives (hopefully a villain zone) we'll rush to the zone and open presents in search of a Winter Lord. Mayhem will ensue. We can throw in some halloween salvage for extra fun.

For a mothership raid, 50s are strongly suggested. The enemies are all level 54, and the change between +4 and +5 is big.

Ice does have some unique benefits over all the other control sets.

Its staple control power, Ice Slick, does not scale down in effectiveness against higher level enemies, which is very handy if you're fighting +4s and +5s.

All the powers do -Recharge which means it contributes against PToD enemies, even if the team can't hold them.

I am proposing a Rikti Mothership raid for this week, although given the proximity of Christmas I've got some doubts. We'll work out a suitable fallback if we lack the numbers. Another Lord Winter raid could be good, or possibly some more strike forces.

I've met only a few Singaporeans on CoV, and I can't think of any who are playing right now.

You're more than welcome to join us at SINISTER, you'd find some people still on if you logged on at 20:00 your time, particularly on Wednesday night.

Just curious about how people are using the free character transfers.

I've been moving my unused characters off Justice to make room for new ones. My 50 Grav/Thorny and 30 Mind/Energy are already gone, and are likely to be followed by my 50 Fire/Icy and my Ice/Energy when she finally hits 50. The Earth/Psi might also get moved at 50.

Of course, I'll be keeping Oedipus Tex, my Mind/Fiery and Bean Salad, my Plant/Thorny because they're the ones I enjoy playing the most.

I'm definitely staying put. I know of several other people transferring characters to Justice. We had a couple of new players transfer 50s over on Wednesday. I've not asked, but I'm confident that most others are staying as well, and no one has told me that they're using the chance to leave Justice.

Hey Snoof, it went really well. On our second try we managed to get two full teams together and took down Lord Winter. We did the Baby New Year mission a couple of times too, but most people have already done it more than they care to think about.

Justice is the unofficial Oceanic server, but there are oceanic players on other servers, and many play on multiple servers.

There are two global channels for the community.

Australia is the general chat channel and can be noisy at times.
Oceanic Events is the low-traffic organizational channel.

To join the channels, just type "/chanjoin Australia" and "/chanjoin Oceanic Events" in your chat window. You'll then need to edit chat tabs on all your characters to make it visible, and send a tell to one of the channel mods to be unsilenced.

So, I did a little test with Silver Mantis, and learned two things:

1] For a team of 4, minion turrets do spawn as usual, and the base is a lot less deadly.

2] Using a Shivan, insps and Accolades I can solo Duray, and by extension the entire SF. I sure do miss Blaze though!

Minimal advice: take Dominate, skip Total Domination, evenly balance your power picks and slots across both your primary and secondary.
