If I need to bail power boosted pff and evade works just fine in zones. The only time I EVER die is when I get greedy or lazy with avoiding AS's trying to finish a kill or a very well timed spike when were camping the hero base and I'm trying to get a last hit on a base runner. Could I evade just as well without it? Possibly, but since I am a villain I don't sweat it. The hero faction is full of tanks and scrapers who dont even team. For a zone build I use dark primary..that has a built in heal that's nice with power boost. So in my case I opted for power instead of cold.

Quote:hasten,SS,SJ,accro, combat jumping, maneuvers, for lotg 7.5, tactics, stealth, phase. As far as epics I went with Power for Pff and Temp Inv, and FoN.what about pools and epic, ice epic? fighting leadership speed jump?
The alternative is Cold for snow storm and Hib. Not sure what is currently preferred for small team arena. -
Quote:Power boost, boost range, buildup, I use conserve with all the heavy end draining powers also, but that's more preference as I only do zones now.need a 2v2 3v3 build, i dont have mids so that wont help, if someone could take the time to private message me a build with how slotting at and all that works, i would luv u long time, also, ive been told you dont get any of the nrg melee attacks? thanks for the help gang
Can't help ya with a build though as I never was big on psi, but virtually a must for team arena jump teams....not that anyone does that anymore....
Cap your KB(48-52), your hp with accolades(1606). My best guess is you would go heavy for recharge to better set up the spike, as its all about getting all the dmg to register at once for psi so the target doesn't have a chance to phase/hib or heal. Max out your tohit as well. If you can put pvp procs in your attacks do it. I have heard rumors of Devs looking into changes the proc chance/dmg...but nothing in stone.
There are certainly better people with advice, Sentry and Lib are some of the more specific forum posters I can think of. -

Fixed for accuracy. Tping someone into a drone does not give you the kill.

Combination of no attention span for the amount of dialog, and not enough time to play. Cox pvp may be broken, but its so easy to just go into RV and farm nubs for 20 min and log off.

Quote:100% thisi13 pretty much ruined PVP permanently in this game.
i12 Test Ladder had become one of the most active points in competitive PVP in the game, with several more teams ready to join the fray right before the update. Castle made VERY VERY clear that i13 was not made with the PVP community in mind, and the pvp community in turn cancelled subscriptions en masse, some moving on to other games and others simply disappearing. The most saddening part about the whole mess was that i13 was promised to be the first step in a sweeping change to PVP for the best, but nothing major happened after i13. PVP was wholly ignored after the initial bridge burning. There have been glimmers of hope since, the FPVPL Season 1 being the best example of this. There has not been a competitive league or ladder since (I do not count the last league with WARE in which the winner was decided before the season started).
That being said, I will make this perfectly clear: If the devs ever created a test server like environment with a ruleset similar to where we were in i12, dozens and dozens of "old school" pvpers would return. To put it plainly, no other game has managed to capture the enjoyment of CoH's PVP engine in its prime: its requirement for absolute skill and coordination and its 3D combat which allowed for so much invention and creativity.
I hold no hope that a game in this stage of its development cycle would suddenly have a reversion as extreme as what I envision, but it is nice to pretend it could happen.

Quote:Actually I think you pointed out my point. Except you didn't create the gap. The gap was already here. Teams have always had roster issues but not nearly as bad as this last league. Skill level disparity was another difference. I think this last league just proved there really is no serious competitive team pvp left in this game. What ware did was impressive but really just pointed out the fact that nobody is left and they aren't coming back. Further more in a ladder system if you were at the top you only played against second place officially. You guys didn't just play #2, you got to play against teams with less resources and clearly less skill. Finally a ladder didn't just end...you had to hold your spot until you retired or got beat. At the end of the league teams had to recruit multiple times just to field a working roster. I have no shame in saying you guys were the best league team. That still doesn't mean I would compare you to Velocity or Fol.Are you denying the fact that Ware created the biggest gap in skill between the first and second place team? I realize you are just attempting to defend the fact that Renegades lost games within matches. It's ok a once great philosopher told me "#13: Haters gonna hate"

Lol, if I had known that I would have pushed for Fap to use gale, would have made for nice stalker setups.......

Quote:I do apologize for not being there for my team the last 5 weeks. The last official I was able to attend in we beat Honey Badgers.Thankfully in your case no one is actually around to see you how you can't manage to win a match in a failing league with practically no PvP community. And I don't know what preconceived notion gave you the impression anyone in WARE takes winning this league or anything in this game as some sort of grand achievement, this game really isn't that hard which makes it that much more hilarious that there seems to be such a large gap in "skill" between teams.
Really think there is that much disparity from a 1v1-8v8? -
Quote:Not to rain on this, because in all honestly, I'd probably say similar stuff in your position due to my tendency to grief people for reasons non-existent, but I'm pretty sure that even if you were to count practices, we'd still have a far better w/l ratio than anyone else, save for CoTD.
I think your W/ L pointed out beautifully the state of pvp in this game and the joke that everyone takes it as. Congratulations on an achievement that unfortunately nobody is around to see.... Ware certainly leveled the competition but sadly the league falling apart before the season being over will be whats remembered. -
Then perhaps were discussing a different match that I wasn't around for after I left the game. Feel free to try to find the date of this match your speaking of. If it was an official it should be posted somewhere. Either way I'm finished posting in this thread. Its been derailed enough.

Quote:I thought that was VRC that voiced complaints...I really can't remember. I just know someone mad a big stink about it on the forums.i wanna be good like gmw, that way i can cry about mm's keeping me out of hide and not getting any AS's. blood mark only got them cause he hax.
GMW was a top tier pvp guild and could have beaten Renegades when we last played, Renegades just happened to come out on top at the end. -
Quote:I don't recall that official, We played a pick up match with someone wanting to play against us, it was something on the fly that was never recorded officially in any thread. That was why non of us played anything serious. That's crazy to lose an official like that. Our team just doesn't practice when we are in that situation. But then again it was the Renegades they would have lost anyways. They are almost as bad as FAP.
If you would like a listing of all our official matches here is every offical we played. -
Quote:Correct, I postedThe melee procs outside of the Heca proc and the Glad Strike proc have a lower chance to proc then any other damage proc in the game.
Quote:even if they only has a 20% proc rate that is still 1 out of 5 Quote:As for Alpha, you are completely wrong on that one. Alpha and Set Bonuses work on completely separate totals. Alpha adds to your enhancement values directly, while Set Bonuses multiply them by whatever percentage the set bonus offers. That is the math of it, you can argue against it all you want, but unlike playstyle, math is not subjective. DR also effects both of those totals separately.
I don't believe I did any name calling or trolling. I challenged you and your credentials because I thought you were wrong and I called you on it. It certainly wasn't suppose to be a pissing contest and I am sorry if you took it as such. -
Yea, Half our team was is in college and most professors schedule exams around holidays. The other half of our team was tired of winning and played toons missing accolades and travel powers for lulz.
