Tomorrow... "Tomorrow" isn't a problem, and in fact, is pretty informative all on it's own, compared to the oft-quoted: Soon™...

And just think, we've got more goodies for you next week too!

  4. On Tuesday, March 25, starting at 6 AM Pacific (9 AM Eastern) all servers will come down for maintenance. The estimated downtime is 2 hours.

This downtime is necessary to implement the new Authentication System that has been in testing on the Training Room for the last week. While this change will not bring any immediate changes to the user experience, it does lay the groundwork for future improvements.

This is great and all but...

IS THERE GOING TO BE A HOSPITAL
(forgive me if this was already mentioned)

    [/ QUOTE ]

You could try -reading- the thread. Or at least go to "show all posts" and (ctrl-f) search for "Hospital" Search-fu will serve you well on the forums.

But anyway, a prior dev post indicated that there was going to be a mobile medical unit added to the zone. (which is to say that it's a police medical unit with a truck, presumably like in the safeguards, not that it's going to move around the zone) There was nothing about it in this writeup from WW, but there's no reason to assume that the prior confirmation has been recanted. WW was mostly talking about spawn changes and the new contact, anyway.

    [/ QUOTE ]

War Witch is adding gurneys (ala the Safeguard missions) to the front of the zone that you will go to if you are overcome and hit ye olde hospital button.

I really hope this is not all the info we are getting today.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As I stated in an earlier thread, we are still weeks out from closed beta and more weeks out from open beta and then launch. So, expect to get something on a weekly basis from now till then. If we just dumped it all out now, well we'd be sitting around going "that's nice, but when can I play it?" So, thanks for your patience and understanding that it won't all come at once.

Greetings Citizens of Paragon and the Rogue Isles, I am Blue Steel. My real name is Ray Snyder and I’ve been working on City of Heroes / City of Villains for over three years now and in the industry for over a decade. My current title at NCsoft NorCal is Design Support; I’m the guy that helps the Team track down hard to find Bugs. I also give first impressions on features and provide suggestions on how to make the game better or more fun. My job was once explained to me as “to make sure the game is fun”. I’ve also done some light design work in the past. I implemented the Snakes for CoV’s launch and populated the out door mission maps for the Rikti Warzone among other things. You will be seeing more of me on the forums as we move into Issue 12 Beta (which is still a little ways out).

A bit about Me: I’m a gamer and have been since I was eleven and I first saw D&D. I’ve played tons of Role Playing games and then moved to table Top War games. While I was at Cryptic, I ran company game leagues for Warhammer 40K and Warmachine. Right now my table top passion is AT-43. I started playing MMOs with Ultima Online and have played Everquest, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot and one to two others I can’t remember at the moment. Oh, I played this one game that I really liked, as I was a huge fan of Comics and I doubt I’d be the gamer I am today with out there influence as a child. It was City of Heroes. I fell in love with the game and played like mad. Image how I felt when Cryptic hired me to help make the game more fun. So I’ve been with the game since Issue 4 and now as we are 7 issues past that and working on Issue 12, I can still say this is my Favorite MMO. I’m going to continue to be here working hard to make “City of” all it can be.

  11. As of 12:00 Noon Pacific on Friday, March 14th, this issue has been corrected. If you continue to experience difficulty, please post here to let us know and visit the PlayNC Support Page to let our Support Team know.

    Thank you.
  12. In reading through all the community feedback (US and EU) and player reaction from the recent announcement of Issue 12: Midnight Hour, the overwhelming consensus is that players would like to have access to additional character slots. With all the great reasons to roll a new character included in Issue 12, we certainly understand the desire.

We want to let you know that we are working on systems to address this community request. Our intent is add purchasable character slots to round out our existing services of Character Transfer and Character Rename. We hope to have this implemented and available shortly after Issue 12 Launch.

As always, we are happy to listen and respond to your requests. Thanks for your feedback and continued support.

  16. War Witch, Level Designer who's doing the Hollows Gameplay Makeover, wanted me to point out that the changes are to address spawns and that there are no significant art changes (like moving buildings, etc.) being done with the changes.

We'll have more information and details about all the features of Issue 12: Midnight Hour in forthcoming web articles.
  17. All US City of Heroes servers will be coming down for emergency maintenance starting at 12:30 Pacific (3:30 Eastern) on Thursday, March 13th. We are reserving 2 hours as the downtime, but are doing everything possible to have the servers back quickly and hope to not need all 2 hours.

Our apologies for this interruption and thanks in advance for your understanding.

Every AT gains at least 1 powerset -- Masterminds only get a Secondary, no new Primary. Brutes get 2 new Primaries, and 1 secondary. Everyone else gets 1 Primary and 1 Secondary.

Can we please get those question marks filled in, for the 75% of the slots that don't have anything to go on yet?

Sorry, you'll have to wait for the follow up article that will expand on the Powerset Proliferation feature.
