Eh, I wouldn't say all that, Laz. Personally, I feel trying to play a MM in an RP thread like they do in the game is what the problem is. I'm sure it works and stuff but, like Burning said, there's a type of sliding scale you have to use:
-If the MM is fighting alone then they have to stand a fighting chance against their opponent. Okay, I get that. The RP would be boring if MMs were pushovers.
-If the MM is fighting along side his minions then the MM isn't as powerful nor are the minions. For some strange mystery of the universe the MM wouldn't be able to do as much compared to if he was alone. That doesn't really make sense...why would someone be weak in one instance then strong in the other? It's one or the other, not one if situation B is present and the other if situation A is present.
-If the MM is not present and his minions are fighting without the MM then the minions have to have a fighting chance vs their enemy. It just gets too confusing and the whole thought of it just makes me want to ban all MM RPers.
Yeah yeah, I know it's fun having a guy with minions in RP but every time I read a battle with MMs involved I think, "GAH! They're doing it all wrong!"
It's hard to explain but a Mastermind isn't suppose to be a character in an RP but rather a plot device used in an RP. This is all my opinion but a Mastermind seems more evil, vicious, deadly and smarter if they're played like a *Real* Mastermind like in movies, books, comics and video games(not CoV). Using the CoV MM set up in an RP thread is just wrong....
...but this is all just my opinion and I could probably go on for several pages on Masterminds, balance and other 'Arch types' used in the RPs but I'll just cut myself off and say I should have made another thread. -
But that's the thing. Masterminds are Arch villains. They're *master* minds after all, they're usually the "Boss" after you get past all the minions. In my eyes, the boss should be tougher than all the minions you waded through.
I guess it's cool if you just want to play a guy with a whole bunch of guys they can order around but for me it doesn't resemble a true Mastermind.
This brings up another question. Let's say I have a MM character that I want to RP with on the boards. Said MM has 6 minions: 2 boss + 4 minion lvl and another boss-type follower that is essentially another character(a brute). Those minions are pretty powerful and not easy to defeat and the Brute is as powerful a character as the MM who is powerful as well.
So far, there's nothing there that doesn't say overpowered but there are checks and balances I've placed on the group. 1.) The 6 minions are seperated into 2 factions that hate eachother so refuse to work with one another which means only three of them will work on a task at one time. 2.) The Brute that works for her essentially "takes her placed" in the realms when summoned so the MM and Brute cannot be in the same fight at once. 3.) This MM will send her minions to do her bidding so if you actually end up facing her you've already defeated her minions. Now would that be completely overpowered? Slightly? Not at all?
See? I should have just made another thread... -

Notice the difference? Even though he didn't do anything that killed anyone Abe is still god-moding. He's ignored everything that was done to him, insulted other players...

I don't care what you say, I'm not going to stop insulting people! Ya b*stard!....Sorry, just ignore that...

PLEASE, for the love of all things holy, do NOT rewrite the backstory of Paragon City/the Rogue Isles!
[/ QUOTE ]
QFT! There's so much in the game that I haven't experienced yet so I don't know, for instance, Nemesis' agenda or some such like that. That's why I just make up new, imaginary stuff until I can clear all of that stuff up. The cool thing with imaginary stuff is you get complete freedom to create and combine new ideas and decide how you want it to relate to the things in game.
Something I just feel like asking. Is doing such God-moding in any way? Is it possible to God-mode with such an RP method and if so what examples.
[ QUOTE ]
In all seriousness, I just wanted to emphasize what Mecha said about taking a few liberties with powers, while not going over the top.
[/ QUOTE ]
Another thing that intruigues me is what people consider balanced or unbalanced, and what the thread RPers consider balanced or unbalanced.
Example: Is it unbalanced that Ian can cut nearly anything with his wooden sword, when not cutting his bokken strikes can resemple super strength attacks, he can move extremely quick and evade most attacks, he can(essentially) control earth, wind, water, fire and lightning AND he has a bag of taijutsu techniques to pull out of his bag?
Personally, I don't feel it's balanced which is why I gave him so many weaknesses.
Okay, only wanted to post on one last thing. Mecha's Mastermind comment: That's very restircting and personally I hate the way the Mastermind AT is in CoV but the reasons I do contradict eachother. In PvP and PvE they are pretty powerful by themselves compared to the others which I don't really like. And the AT itself doesn't really reflect a real Mastermind like in the comics.
The mastermind is suppose to be much more powerful than his minions which is why he has minions in the first place. Although he's more powerful, he sits on his butt and lets the minions do the work, sending them on various tasks or performs favors for whomever. This is how I plan to RP my ninja mastermind. She would send her ninja to do the dirty work but if crossed will face down an opponent without hesitation but alone.
Would that be overpowered?
Sorry, I'm just curious what people find unfair or unbalanced. Maybe I could start a thread about that... -
Actually, I wasn't really talking about my thread. I'm sure that was my fault...
I was talking about past experiences with other threads. I can think of a good few examples where the poster just decided to drop the thread(or the GM decided to postpone it) without saying something to the GM or the other posters. -
Okay, now I'm thinking people are responding just to write an example of "Terse, boring sentence vs. Long detailed paragraph".
Something I want to comment on is character balance. Assumptions are something that happen in RP threads every day. Sometimes it's not bad and quickly corrected with a sentence and others tend to blow up in a whirlwind of OOCs. Don't assume something about a character just because they're a powerful comsic being or a rather normal unexperienced sidekick.
Another thing I'd like to comment on: Thread whores. Yes, I feel using that derogitory term sums up my thoughts on such posters. Sometimes such posters just have a lot of time so join a lot of threads, which is fine but often it reminds me of someone with ADD and such a poster will quickly lose interest in the thread and quit posting in it. That's also fine but what I find rather irritating is the manner in which they quit posting. Rather than say in an OOC or write their character out, other posters wait for several days or weeks for that poster to respond. After waiting, someone finally PMs the poster and waits a few more days until finally gets word back that "Oh, I don't want to post in the thread anymore."
If you're going to quit a thread just say so. Try not to wait forever or tell someone something at all. "I'm just losing interest but I dunno if I want to quit" , "I think I'll go on hiatus for a few weeks in that thread" , "Eh, I'm just not feeling it anymore. I'm going to quit the thread". Something! Anything, as long as you don't forfeight the enjoyment of other posters by waiting. Same goes for GMs that lose interest or are unsure of the direction of the thread, give someone else the reigns of the thread or tell them the thread is going on hold. -
Me? Experienced?
*Pats Openursoul on the head to comfort him while everyone on the RP forums laugh hysterically at him*
I can't say I'd help GM the thing but I can possibly keep it in order. I already know who'd I'd use in the thread if it were made, but I suggest getting some big influence guys to endorse the thread so more people will stick with it.
I won't go naming names but if you can get one of the big guns to join, the others will all join in too....I can guarantee you that. -
Heres a mission for you, Richard gruffed. Find out who else was involved in this whole fiasco and find out why. If there were ninjas jumping around stealing stuff, I dont see why there couldnt be ghost pirates forcing Mrs. Kelly to walk the plank or whatever.
Ian soon met up with the group who were discussing the matter just outside the door. W-what are you guys talking about? Did you find out what happened to mom? he asked rather tentatively. Although he wasnt shaking, he looked as if he would break down any minute due to his compulsive sense of anxiety over his only parent.
((Taking some control to move the story toward the next segment.))
After a little searching, Andrew finally found the piece of equipment Linn was talking about on the first floor of the laboratory. Here it is, Andrew announced to the group to reveal a weird looking machine that, essentially, was a clear crystalline sphere attached to a small handheld computing device by a metal claw-like base with cables connecting the two main components. Its pretty simple to work. You basically use this part to scan something and this crystal ball may indicate their whereabouts. Of course, it had other function, such as simply displaying who the item belongs to and such.
Terrific, Rich responded sarcastically, And I suppose it does that by magic? The detective sighed and pulled out the feather he had received earlier along with the rectangular piece of paper discovered before that. Good luck but I need to keep an eye on Linn. Finding out what the ninja were up to will no doubt fill in the holes in this whole scene. -
"Okay, well if it's his fault, what proof do we actually have to support that?" Rich said rather flatly. "Besides, wouldn't Ian, who was waiting in the reception area outside of the lecture hall, have figured Linn was behind all of this?"
-
Linn eyed Experiment and Detective Holmes coldly before returning to the front of the estate. Then Hallucinogen popped in.
No, nothing, Rich told the both of them as he closed his notebook. Really, I was just reviewing over what the footage captured and trying to estimate how much of it was tampered with.
Richard pocketed his PDA and reopened his notebook. The crime must have occurred only a few minutes after 7:55 but that doesnt mean thats all that could have been tampered with. Rich flipped a few pages and began reading, The cameras show William appearing in the banquet hall at around 7:32 and Ian being escorted out of the main mansion at 7:35 by Linn. Ian shows up at the banquet hall at 7:47 but Linn is no where on any surveillance footage. Then some of the cameras go down. Ian examines the food in the reception area while his mother and father are in the lecture hall testing equipment. Sandra screams, William helps then smoke .
Rich had flipped through his book quickly and finally closed it. Something isnt adding up. Where was Linn? What was he doing during the crime? And what were those ninja doing in the lab? Why were they even here at all? -
((Everyone forgot about me again!))
Rich had to sprint as fast as he could to catch up to Experiment, which wasnt all that slow by the way. Wait! he said, breathing heavily from his run. Im not sure what ya plannin but try not to let Linn know were onto him. We still need to verify some kind of motive. I have a hunch what it is but I need a little more confirmation.
~~
Theres bound to be something, Andrew, Linn answered. Whomever did this cannot be perfect. Im sure they were careless and left more than enough to work with. Linn began to leave again but stopped and turned back to Andrew. and be careful with it. William is probably the only one who could make another if it broke so Im expecting you to keep that scanner safe.
Linn then left them and on his way out, passed Experiment leaning on the entrance and Richard sitting and looking at more footage on his PDA. Rich continued to take notes. -
The next day, training started early in the morning for Lei and Ian. It was much physical conditioning like running with weights, climbing, swimming, etc. Then there was the martial arts training and sparring. Lei learned a bit about evading attacks like Ian while Ian quickly picked up on his hand to hand capabilities.
Lei was beginning to like the boy rather than be completely disgusted by him. Although he wasnt very strong, scrawny, lacked experience and skills in unarmed combat and was rather impetuous she admired his ability to learn quickly.
This went on for the next two days, ending early on the second so the two could attend the spring festivities if they wanted. Lei spent more time that night making sure she looked nice than any other night in the year. This festival only came one time a year and everyone would be there. In her room, she was tying her hair with a light pink ribbon and straightened her white and blue kimono with pink floral patterns up the side. Okay, I think Im good, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror. Fen will probably be late again hehe she spends almost the whole day prettying herself up.
She walked out of her apartment building and down the street toward the bright lights. The streets were all barricaded off booths were everywhere and the smell of delicious food hung in the air. Now where is-
Lei was going to ask where is Fen but a tap on her shoulder caused her to jump slightly. Hi, Ian said with a grin. He was wearing a purple and pink yukata tied off by a white sash. Im not late am I?
No, Im just looking for my friend, Fen .We always go together to these festivals but shes sometimes late. She only looked about for a few more seconds before pointing off to the left. There she is!
I thought you said you had friends .as in more than one Ian said dryly.
Lei ignored this and ran up to Fen, who was extravagantly dressed in a beautiful kimono and sparkling jewelry. Fen, are you rea- Lei cut herself off when Dong Hai walked up behind Fen.
Sorry, Lei. Im with someone else this year, Fen said while gazing lovingly at Hai who was grinning and blushing all at once. Thats okay right?
Lei didnt answer at first then sighed. Yes you two have fun. The two didnt wait long to go enjoy the festival together, leaving her and Ian.
Wow bummer, Ian said indifferently, So what stuff should we do?
Staring at her feet, Lei just sighed again. Well, we wont be able to do much with just my money but Im sure we can figure out something, Lei replied.
After about an hour and a half of festival games and booth hopping, Lei was out of money and they both sat on a bench, Lei with a very discouraged look on her face and Ian just looking around at the people walking by. Well, we might as well leave and get some sleep for tomorrow, she said with a heavy sigh.
We can still play a few more games though and Im a little hungry too, Ian returned and rested his palm on his growling tummy.
I dont have any more money so we cant really do much of anything.
Ian shook his head at Leis last comment before a man stepped up from behind him. How is your training going Ian? And are you enjoying yourself at these festivities? said the Asian man with a pair of rectangular wireframe glasses.
Ah, Linn. What are you doing here? Ian asked with a smile.
Im just keeping an eye on you for your father, Linn replied with an emotionless face. and who is your friend here?
This is Jing Lei. Shes training with me, Ian simply stated before rising to his feet and looking up at Linn. Do you think you can give us some money to get some food?
Linn nodded and pulled out a bit of money and handed it to Ian. Would you like some more so you can play the games? Linn asked.
Yes please! Lei was almost astonished at the amount of money Linn had .and they were just going to play games with it all? Okay. What do you wanna do first, Lei? Play or eat? Ian asked with a funny grin. -
Rich didnt answer Experiment for a good 20 seconds before shaking his head. I dunno about the robots but I do know of one person who had something to do with it. Here, take a look. The detective tossed his PDA to 2.0 so he could see a quick portion of footage.
It was the library and for a few seconds, showed it empty then a slight jump. Then Linn was at the stone construct near its center. It was unclear exactly what he was doing but to Rich it was obvious, Linn was deleting the surveillance video that occurred during the incident. That weird magic slab thing is where the unconverted footage was obtained. Obviously, Linn is covering something up because it was him that seemed to have tampered with the tape.
~~
((Linn is at the Banquet hall with the other group so Ill just put Andrew there.))
Linn turned to the android and nodded. I see youre repaired. Perhaps you can help them track the intruders. On the floor below the first in the lab, there should be a device that can track beings of magic if you have something that belongs to them. Linn began to walk away from the stage. Please be quick in finding them. Those ninja will be harder to track if you take too long. -
((Woops, did I forget to update this?))
My top tech guys, Rich answered to 2.0. They had a real conversion conundrum with the surveillance footage though. Some kind of magic crap I cant begin to talk about. Anyway, luckily he found a way to convert it and record it. We confiscated the unconverted version too although they say there were no difference between the two.
Rich stopped and listened to the androids explanation with a look of what the hell on his face. Okay .crazy masks, he muttered to himself. Well you go find a time machine thing-a-ma-bopper and Ill keep looking through this footage.
The first thing Rich decided to examine was the time the camera when wonky which was 7:55pm((Im making up times now cause I cant remember what I had originally planned)). Then he used his PDA to switch between surveillance cameras at that time. Cameras in the lab were blank, cameras at the gate entrance were blank, guest house, outside the banquet hall, all of them blank except the one inside the banquet hall, on stage, mansion lobby and library. Damn! This is really annoying. I wish I had some more equipment than this dumb little thing, he scolded, speaking of his PDA.
~~
Perhaps you should find the ninja that destroyed our laboratory, Linn piped up as he walked down the isle toward the stage. It seems they have stolen some valuable equipment used to power a device Dr. Kelly was working on which is probably what caused this. -

((Really Leo, you need to give us some clues to work with, not just expect us to make stuff up until we arrive on something you decide fits.))

((I did and I am. I just didn't want to come right out and say "You're trying to get water out of a dry well" because there's nothing more there to discover.
I don't want to just tell you what direction you should take next but if it came to it I guess I could.
[EDIT] Just to give you insight on the whole thread configuration. I have the whole thing planned out on a basic scale. There's the victims, the characters, the crime, the clues, etc but I make it up as I go along. If someone decideds to go a direction I didn't think of I can take a clue I had planned somewhere else and put it where you can find it(or at least leave a clue that leads to the other clue). Although everything is planned, it's 'generally' flexible enough to alter by the characters....at least I feel it's flexible.)) -
((Well, cool calm and collected is fine and good but make for very bad opponents...Seriously, they either win completely by eliminating their opponent without the person even knowing they're there or set some kind of trap that will lead to an easy defeat OR they just lose horribly. I doubt anyone wants to lose to a ninja trick and without the deception you just have a weak target.
I kind of already tried the ninja deception thing with Jase in CoT and I either have to aim really low(small goals) or his tricky abilities usually fail therefore he fails. There's no room for a middle ground usually.
As for sigils, I don't even know what that is but after looking it up it's latin for seal which is a more western magic. I consider hand signs as forming 'seals' with your hands instead of tracing them with your fingers, essentially doing the same thing but with eastern signs and instead of summoning said magic into a space around you, it would summon the magic through you. I don't feel like posting each different sign or describing each one because it would take a paragraph for each but each sign has a name and a purpose.
There is kind of two categories with it too, like a hand sign of concentration is like the meditative stance you talk about but with just your hands(Ian uses this). A stance would take too long and really be counter-productive to his loose evasive nature. Is it anime? Yes, probably. Is it childish? Probably but I like it and if it is considered childish I guess I can't change other's opinion about that.
...but that's just me. I'm sure others have other view on how and what magic is or could be so try not to limit a fictional device such as magic to a strict set of rules. Everyone should be able to make their own rules as long as they don't contridict(too harshly) with other's.))
-
((But I Like calling out the names of the techniques
. It has several purposes:
-It limits my characters. Instead of having limitless control over something they can just do a particular thing with something instead. Although it's not limitless control it's still very powerful. In short, trade extreme flexibility for power and varaiety in powers. How interesting would Ian be if he Just used a katana and had super reflexes like he does in the game?
-You know what the person is doing. Usually it's a simple one phrase dialog that contains the name of the technique which you could simply disregard the quotations to read it as simply me telling you what's going on.
-I can make up some cool names! At least I think they're cool...and I resent that childish comment.
...and are hand signs really any different from tracing runes in the air?
I agree with you though, a thread based mystery/detective deal is kind of tough but it can be done! It's much easier if you had more than one person moderating everything but it's not impossible for one person. The approach I was going for was setting up the scene, predetermining what clues could be in the scene at what times and letting someone find them. This would be the 'Info Gathering Phase' which is kind of linear but would eventually lead to the part where the main characters pool their information and attempt to figure out the plot before the plot happens. If they were right then...well they would essentially have a way to trump the GM but if they didn't then they'll just feel less smart....Seriously, how could I outsmart anyone?)) -
((Well the mystery part(the info gathering at least) was over...now it was just filling in the gaps with NPC dialog and such. I guess it was silly of me to expect people to try something not involving 100% blowing stuff up.
....and I guess that means one of my characters beat Archlich!))
-
Essex scan revealed no remnants of whatever technology that was involved. Not many other clues could be found here, at least not after the robots cleaned the place spotless.
~~
Rich tapped his screen, At this point, theres a slight jump in the video and I just now noticed time seems to go back for like, two seconds. The screen showed the scene of the murder and disappearance:
It shows William and Sandra on stage, both wearing some sort of equipment. They were testing its stability for the demonstration but something happens. A surge of energy passed through the equipment they were wearing. It was only for a short moment but William seemed fine while Sandra looked to be in more pain. There was no audio but it could be seen that Sandra cried out in pain.
William comforted his wife and she showed her assurance with a nod. It was then William seemed to be addressing someone off stage and standing between this person and his wife. For a minute or so, William was speaking then quickly moved back to his wife who was standing behind him.
This is when the video goes into a bit of a static fit and the time jumps back two seconds to reveal nothing but smoke covering the whole stage. As it cleared up, William was lying on his side dead, Sandra was no where to be seen and Ian moved on the stage, kneeling next to his father trying to help his dad as best he could. Ian then rushed off to call for help which was the end of the scene.
Dang, this is the first time Im seeing this and now I wish I had done so sooner, Rich laughed to rewatch the footage.
((I was waiting for Khell to post but got bored waiting...)) -
Ian brightened up, a small sliver of hope revealed, "So....my mother....she's okay?"
If there really was a portal, where did it go? Not much else could be unveiled without at least a piece of whatever opened up this gate.
~~
"Heh, I hear ya," Rich laughed, sounded a bit less consumed in his work. He pulled out his own PDA and inserted a card that had surveillance footage on it and began to review that too.
After a while of silence, Rich made an odd grunting sound as he watched his PDA screen and quickly fumbled with it. "That's odd....did someone tamper with this?" -
"Their apples," Rich smirked, not taking his attention from his notes. He continued scribbling in his notepad. "You know? The snake that tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge? At least that's what I think it is."
((Heh, couldn't resist. I'll update everything in a minute.)) -
((Archlich is the kind of guy that doesn't like goodie good heroes cramping his style....at least I think so.
You could be waiting in the guest house if you want or you could be with Naga. It's your choice. You can even be with Archlich, fighting but I doubt he'd want help.)) -
((Welcome Back Leek. Now I dont have to worry about forgetting you again
. And yeah, Ill say you can track the dimensional portal if you think you can.))
The smoke odor that Naga sensed was very faint and would soon be completely gone in a few minutes. The smoke was not like something being burned or some kind of smoke weapon but rather a collection of gasses from another atmosphere from another planet or something.
[ QUOTE ]
"Where this go?" [Naga] asked Ian, looking down into the darkness below.
[/ QUOTE ]
Under the stage I guess . Ian replied with a very worried look on his face. But that wasnt a trap door he said, pointing down at the part Naga pulled off. She had pried off a chunk of the floor.
~~
You trespass on my property, say youre going to destroy it and then call me impudent? Linn stated and at the same time his palm changed to a claw and he swiped at the air. A blue wave of force came not from his hand but seemingly out of thin air and struck down on a few balls of magic energy which exploded into the lawn.
You have no idea who youre dealing with, Linn scoffed. The cloud of debris separated the two but this didnt stop Linn from attacking. He could sense the lichs hand movements and attempted to thwart them. He skillfully turned, almost like a dance, and swiped laterally while crouching low to the ground. A large wave of blue energy rushed toward Archlich from close by and surged up as it neared Archlichs legs. -
((Oops, I forgot Leek's last post...))
<Leeksoup>:Andrew, silent for a while, perked back up. "A trans-dimensional thing? Hmm... that would take a lot of power, wouldn't it?..." Andrew trailed off. "I may have a lead." Andrew stretched out his left arm, palm open and facing up for all to see. ((Remember, he's got the magnesium stuff that Mr. Kelly put on.)) "when we were in that first room in the lab, before the ninjas came in, I managed to read a bit of data off that computer. The terminal I read controlled the large power source- the crystal- in the next room, and made sure all its power was shunted off into the right port." He lowered his hand to put it on his chin. "It looked to bit a good distance away... but if you like, I'll bet I could lead us to the dimensional portal." Andrew looked pleased with himself. "It's probably too late now, we should get some sleep. Still, in the morning, I'm sure I could do it."
~~
The instant Archlich pushed against Linn, the mild mannered oriental man sprang into action. Linn pushed the lich back with a normal palm then quickly turned and thrust another palm in the villains direction but this time, waves of blue force pushed the lich further from the laboratory entrance. Keeping his palm facing the armored sorcerer and his face as emotionless as always, Linn sternly said, I dont know how youre acquainted with Ian but I suggest you leave now before I force you to leave. -
Ian returned with the detective's ice to a procession of people leaving toward the door.
He nodded to the group and gave the detective his glass. I guess I can show you .I just hope you can find a trace of my mother
Heh, good luck with your search but dont hold your breath, Richard laughed. Im not doubting your abilities or whatever but I can tell you youre doubting mine. The detective took the glass and revealed a flask of Scotch from his coat and poured himself a drink. He then pulled out some notes and began looking over them, writing parts from scraps of paper into a notebook although his writing looked like chicken scratch. If you find anything, be sure to inform me .please, he said over his shoulder.
((Ill save the travel commentary and just poof us there.))
Upon arriving at the laboratory, Archlich was met with a mild tempered Linn. What do you think youre doing here? Linn asked rather coldly as he stepped outside from the smashed opened entry way.
~~
Meanwhile, Ian with Naga, Essex and Hallucinogen in tow, arrived at the Banquet hall. There were still a few officers gathering up the rest of their equipment but most were already driving away. Over there Ian said, simply pointing in the far direction of the large reception area. It was a door leading to an auditorium of sorts, for theatrical showings or, in case of tonights events, demonstrations and public addresses. -
They left more traces of their presence besides this piece of paper? Rich asked. I dunno if its possible to track them with this little clue but if we had more we might be able to find where they went and what they were here for.
((*Nudges Archlich* .I wonder if anyone found anything else .*Nudge, Nudge*))
[ QUOTE ]
Naga had been silent this entire time, but spoke again in a hissing voice. "May I see where mother vanished? I pick up trail maybe."
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Essex piped up, moving over to Experiment quietly. "I can take a look at the tech to see if I can fix it and salvage any information. In the meantime, Ian, Miss Naga would probably be very skilled at finding your mother..."
[/ QUOTE ]
Good luck with that, Rich laughed. Didnt I tell you? Those robots picked that place clean. If it werent for them Id still be there looking for clues but now its simply pointless. By the time you find any leads, the possible ones were sitting on will be long gone."
