  1. Sparks scattered about the floor as the metal frame of the several-hundred-pound robot (if not over a quarter of a ton) sandwiched the feline between it and the floor of the hallway. A good deal of bruising and scuffing was inevitable where it wouldn’t outright splatter the creature on the deck. Claws still adhering to the metal of the machine, the cat was drug along for a while before a burst of blunt force shook the robot’s trajectory and opened enough space for the cat to roll away. After escaping the robot grind, the cat took sanctuary behind the leg of Shioh.
  2. When a loud protector bot came rocketing around the corner, the cat jumped to attention. It rose an arm in its direction which gave the impression it was giving chase. The feline quickly rounded another corner and fled. Once again, the machine kept on the cat’s trail.

Apparently there was no other choice so the cat turned to face the robot. Before it could try and detain the creature, all the lights in that hallway glared extremely bright and bathed the hall in a flash of white. Then all the lights burst, showering the corridor in glass and darkness but it was only a second or two before the back-up generator lights turned on and the cat had disappeared.

Without warning, the cat appeared once again, but falling lightly onto the robot’s back. It dug its claws as far into the machine’s chassis as it could which may have not caused much piercing damage, but a powerful electric charge accompanied it, forcing the energy directly into the components of the droid.
  3. “At least you’re learning,” she said with a smile. “And for the record, I never told you to call me ma’am but you should have anyway unless told otherwise.” Returning to her glass, she swirled her drink by the stem before finishing it off. “…because that would have been polite. Or did you forget how rudely you first regarded me?”

Deciding she felt just a wee bit tipsy, Miranda determined she had had enough and shook her head to dismiss the waiter who was looking in her direction with a ‘do you need anything?’ face. “Charisma, tact and charm can be powerful weapons if used right… even more powerful than those arrows of yours. Do you understand?” She didn’t really give him much of a chance to answer as she continued, “Sure you do, you’re a sharp kid. But comprehending is only half of it…”

    [ QUOTE ]
she says in the sweetest voice possible, “we are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you all, upon examining the last disturbance, the alarm was tripped a second time, please return to your cruise activities and enjoy your time on the Naiad!”

    [/ QUOTE ]

After the alarm finally was shut off, Miranda rose to her feet and waved to Danny over her shoulder. She side stepped a fire dancer, putting out his flaming sticks with a wave of her hand, and exited the luau.

    ~~

    [ QUOTE ]
"Also, I'm an assassin, not a technician. If it IS a bomb, I don't know enough to disarm it. If you REALLY need help, just hit speed dial 1 on that phone and I'll come. Otherwise, I'm hungry, I'm going to that party."
Turning on her heel, Shioh kept going down the other hall.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Suddenly, the white feline squirmed from her arms, jumped on her shoulder and leapt to the ground in the direction of Jake. The cat turned back toward Shioh with a Mrrow then continued down the hall before turning a corner.

Only a moment later, Miranda came walking down the hall in time to cross paths with Jake and Shioh from the direction of the luau. Her eyes went to Jake then Shioh before saying a word. “Young lady, you might want to be careful. You might have a stalker that could pose a danger but if you want my advice, you should just talk to him to find out what he wants.” She said nothing more and continued to her room.
  4. Through Danny’s sprawled out explanation, Miranda began massaging her temples. She waved down a waiter and, despite her belief that it was too early to be really drinking, ordered a martini. When the waiter arrived with her drink, she downed it in one shot, gave him the glass back to order another and placed the olive on Danny’s empty plate.

“You’re pretty sharp, I’ll give you that,” she started with a sigh, “but socially, you're duller than a fat homebody on prom night. When I was talking about minding your manners and respecting your elders, I was referring to kids (you in particular) who the ‘normal rules of politeness’ don’t apply. You’ll get no respect without earning it with due respect. In other words, if you don’t want people calling you by the title ‘kid’ then call them ma’am or sir.” Her second drink was placed before her and she took a small sip. “…and you call me either Miss or Miranda, if you somehow confused yourself.”

She looked up toward the ceiling as she thought of something, “…now that I think of it, maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea to just go talk to that girl you were interested in. I can see the cascading failure now.”
  5. [ QUOTE ]
…tossed his second plate neatly onto Miranda's table, where it slid to a halt near her and a-a-a-aaaalmost slopped all over her, but didn't…

    [/ QUOTE ]

Miranda shot Danny a cold glance before rolling her eyes with a smirk. “If you could intentionally do that, why couldn’t you stop a plate from spilling that was right there in your hand?”

    [ QUOTE ]
"Oh aye, an' y'don't hear me commentin' on your age, now do you?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Focusing her attention on Danny now, Miranda squared her shoulders to him and propped her head up with her arm. “And how old do you think I am?” Her stare was especially cold, so much so it felt as if the air around him was dropping in temperature….or perhaps it was.

    [ QUOTE ]
"Why do adults always assume that normal rules of politeness don't apply when they're talkin' t'kids?" Then he grinned, a bit nastily.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Still with ice cold eyes, she reached up and flicked the air with an index finger which in turn caused a stinging chill on the tip of Danny’s nose. “Shame, you’re always suppose to respect your elders. That means saying yes ma’am and no ma’am. With manners like that, it’s no wonder you don’t get the respect you think you deserve.”

The information about Miranda was pretty sparse. Only that she had a son named Arainn, and a daughter named Breda, alias Azure-Storm. Any other information about herself or son was conveniently missing.

All of a sudden, she cocked her head up, looking in the direction of the exit, as if something might be happening. Only a short moment later, the fire alarm went off again and then everyone was looking around puzzled.
  6. While Danny retreated to get cleaned up, Miranda rolled her eyes to a corner of the luau with a sigh. Taking another sip of her drink, the blue sorceress traced a symbol on the table with a bright glowing fingertip. It didn’t require much thought to recall the tome she was studying earlier which soon surfaced up through the written symbol she had drew.

Nonchalantly, she flipped through the book to the desired page and began silently performing another spell. As Danny finally returned, Miranda pointed a glowing hand toward the mess on the floor which also began to glow a faint white. Slowly at first, the spill began to ‘rewind’ itself before quickly collecting back on the tray as if it hadn’t recently splattered all over the floor. “Don’t waste your food, young man. Some children would do anything for a meal like that.” She put the plate to rest on her table then closed her book soon after, smirking to herself. “Maybe that’ll teach you not to eat and fly without a designated pilot.”

    [ QUOTE ]
"So, when y're not terrorizing children for darin' t'comment on the fact that ye're a wee bit more azure than th'rest of us, what do y'do?....'m Danny, by the way." he added diffidently. "Most o' th'tights n' towels brigade knows me as Target Lad, tho'."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Turning an eye to examine the rest of the vacationers, stopping on Hotaka, Henteko and the other odd fellow they were with, the mage answered over her shoulder, “I’ve been known to be called Crushed Ice by certain organizations but you may call me Miranda…as for what I do, I don’t think that’s any of your business, little boy.”
  7. When presented with the bowl of milk, the cat lowered its head to sniff the surface of the liquid. It lapped it a few times before smelling it again. When Shioh returned after changing into more dressy clothes, the cat had resorted to dipping its paw into the liquid as a means to entertain itself until a more substantial meal was offered.

    [ QUOTE ]
    "Wanna come with me kitty?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Seemingly confused if that meant ‘are you hungry?’ or not Mrroow was its answer, tilting its head at the smiling girl.

    ~~

“Interesting. I didn’t think an agent of the Arachnos would openly admit to being part of that organization if they were on some secret mission to kill someone,” Miranda pondered aloud, mostly to herself, then took another sip of her spritzer. “Perhaps too much time in Paragon has made you uptight. If you’re here on vacation, you should try and have fun. You’re only young once…well, for most people…”

At the question of her skin tone, she didn’t mind it but decided to feign offense. “Well, are you suppose to be ignoring the laws of gravity to spy on others trying to relax and have fun?” she asked with a rather cold stare. With the hand she was holding her glass with, she pointed her index finger in his direction. A strange symbol appeared around him, only glowing for a short moment which caused an irresistible downward force to envelop him for that instance. Not to shake him up but just slide his aerial position down a bit. “If you’d like to know so bad, why not just ask her? Start a conversation and maybe you’ll learn something instead of jumping to conclusions.”
  8. The cat had no qualms with being picked up and remained completely calm even through her loud squeal. It meowed again, locking its emerald eyes with Shioh, hoping for someone to feed it.

    ~~

As Miranda made her way over the floor of the luau, she grabbed a blue foo foo drink from the serving tray of an unsuspecting waiter. She took one sip before putting it down at a random table. She tapped the shoulder of the nearest waiter and asked with a warm smile, “Excuse me, can you get me a Sangria spritzer? Thanks, hon.” Well, it was more of an order than a request. She took a seat at a nearby table and waited for her drink which arrived a minute or two later. She took a sip before setting the glass down.

She didn’t get far into her drink before finally acknowledging the hovering boy that was suspended not far from where she was sitting. “You know,” she started talking up to Danny, “if you’re interested in her, you should just go up and talk to her.” She was speaking of Danny paying particular attention to the girl from earlier. “Or do you plan to impress her with your superior floating abilities?” The last line she said with a wry smile and took another sip of her drink.
  9. Finally left alone when the activities director rushed off somewhere to tend to some other patrons on the ship, the blue skinned woman scooped up her book and towel and began thinking of another activity that wouldn’t make her angry when disturbed. This also dispelled any glyphs she had summoned immediately. Her eye caught a fellow waving as he left the nearby bar and she politely waved back before leaving herself.

Miranda decided to make her way to the little event on the flyer she was now using as a bookmark so she headed to her cabin. She wasn’t going to get changed but to simply assure her book was put somewhere safe. She tossed her book on the bed as she waved a hand about her. With a smug smile at the multitude of applications for her powers, she summoned another symbol that changed the skimpy bathing suit she was wearing into a short wrap skirt with floral patterns, sandals and a simple white short sleeve shirt that tie up above her midriff and just below her breast. The blue tinted woman turned toward the mirror in the corner, examining her new look, viewing it from all angles with a pleased smile.

However, her attention was broken by a…sound? Something flashing in her peripheral vision? No, but it was something faint and in the room. Miranda turned toward the sealed window which provided a wide view of the sea all the way to the horizon, her eyes flaring with a white light as she stood silent and still. But nothing. She kept motionless for a few more moments or two before finally giving up on whatever the disturbance was and left out the door to the luau.

After she left her room, a faint spark of white lightning sprang from the latched window. Then the spark bounced off of it again, on the outside this time then faded and disappeared. A moment or two later, a pure white cat with a gold band collar around its neck came bounding up the side of the ship, leaping from awning to awning. It’s slender frame was capable of jumps noticeable larger than a normal cat, and its padded paws made absolutely no noise at all. If anyone noticed it moving up the side of the ship, it would almost resemble a ghost or a white shadow with its quick silent movement.

    [ QUOTE ]
"Sushi?" Shioh tilted her head a bit, "Shiomi-nee likes sushi...I never liked it...do you have hot dogs? I like hot dogs."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mrrrooowww came a tiny call from the railing behind Shioh, Neil, Danny and the others. The snow white feline sat on top of the rail, head tilted. It was apparently reacting to the comment about food.

    [ QUOTE ]
“right this way to the tiki room!” walking with a very bouncy sort of step “and don’t worry miss, there are plenty of hot dogs over on the kids buffet table too.” He walks off to the tiki bar room hoping they all follow.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mrrrow it meowed again, licking its whiskers this time.
  10. ((I thought it'd be pretty obvious that she can sense unsubtle things from far away. She isn't pointing *at* the place of the fire or *at* the boy discharging electricity, she was pointing *toward* them. Or do I have to write up a run-down of her abilities and origin?))
  11. ((I guess you can disregard her 'seeing' them, but she doesn't have to be in line of sight to work her magic. I guess you can just say the area she's in and the area the other 3 are at aren't more than 3 stories apart.))
  12. [ QUOTE ]
The cruise ship activities director looks down at were the cat was once standing and immediately turns his attention to the woman with the blue symbols about her skin. “please ma’am We ask that all of our meta-human patrons please refrain from use of their powers for the duration of the cruise. This is for the safety of the crew, the guests and the boat itself, We truly appreciate our Meta-Human patrons and so I would like to invite you to our spectacular masquerade ball in hall 18 later this week!” pushing a flyer towards her wit hthe same dumb smile on his face. “so can I count on your attendance?”

    [/ QUOTE ]

Miranda regarded the chipper chap with an intimidating scowl. “Why don’t you tell that to the meta-humans causing the commotion with the fire alarm? Or the surge of energy I felt from the person apparently hovering overboard over there?” she scalded, pointing in the direction of the disturbances she had previously been ignoring. “Or, maybe you can tell your other ‘patrons’ to keep their damn cats on a leash or something!” As she said that, the azure woman snatched the flyer from his hand.

She didn’t get much chance to read it before another disturbance. Her eyes were drawn first toward the white tux then the girl he was with, who were apparently scuffling. “Or what do you do about something like that?” she continued, putting the flyer in her book. It was obvious she wouldn’t get anymore reading done so she closed her tomb to study it another time.

With a smooth and graceful right hand, Miranda traced a symbol in the air which was only visible for the part of a second her glowing finger tips left the space. “Glyph of day’s breath,” she muttered to herself which summon the same symbol around the white tux-clad man. It appeared about him and disappeared in the same instant, causing a powerful force to push him up up up.

She followed up with a symbol on her left palm, which glowed brighter and brighter as the spell was cast. “Glyph of shackles.” Glyphs around Shioh’s and Nail’s ankles, glowing like the symbol on her palm. The brighter her palm glowed the more weight was put on the targets’ legs to slow them down, if not out right immobilize them.
  13. ((Been a while since I RP’ed but been hoping a new one would pop up….It’s late for me and I just skimmed most of the thread. I’ll figure out a way to actually interact later.))

Lounging on her stomach on a towel adjacent to one of the many pools, a shapely woman with all the right curves and luxurious long auburn hair soaked up sun while reading from a thick tomb, however her complexion did not grow tan but a cerulean tone. Darker blue symbols of an apparent ancient origin ran along her shoulders and down her back under the strings tying her black bikini top on. She remained absorbed in her book, seemingly oblivious of all the other guests.

About half a dozen paces to her left, an activities director was handing a flyer to one of the more muscular vacationers who was also relaxing. The blue skinned woman took no notice of this and would have continued to ignore the two mortals if not for a brown stripped cat came tapping along the deck. The feline had followed behind the activities director, then rubbed its flanks along his leg, purring all the while. The cat began to trot toward David when the azure woman’s eyes shot toward the creature in question. With merely a flick of her finger, the feline was trapped in a block of ice only a few inches from the “Talisman”. Tracing a pattern in the air, the woman summon a glowing symbol around the cat and a split second later, the ice shattered into dozens of pieces. The ice shards would remain for a few minutes before dematerializing, cat and all.

“I hate cats,” she hissed in utter disgust before returning to her book.
  14. ((OOC: After reading some of this (probably about 3 pages out of 8), I'd like to ask. What is this thing about?))
  15. Ian caught the ball served to him in a palm without looking because his gaze was on the strange party they had just met. It wasn’t an intrusive stare, just a curious one, yet it contorted to a confused one when the lich and silver skinned woman vanished in a swirl of frosty air.

He continued to size up the group for a moment longer, eyes passing from the skeleton with the reptilian to Mitch and Thermoplast. As the group separated into groups, Ian let his gaze waiver. “Heh, okay. I’ll step out on this one and keep score or something. Does anyone have any special rules they’d like to use for this match?” Ian moved to the end of the net off of the playing court and passed a smile to each group. “Since Sis has the ball, I guess she can serve first.”
  16. [ QUOTE ]
“Oh! Only if I can be your girlfriend on the first week of every month” [Ella] smiled playfully.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
"Aw, that's sweet, but I don't swing that way kiddo. I know some folks who do, though, if you're interested." Sis smiled lightly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ian just laughed dryly, unsure what to take from that. He decided not to put much more thought into it instead.

    [ QUOTE ]
"Well...I dunno Ian. I mean...show me the bling, you know?" [Sis] laughed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

His cheeks reddened slightly. Ian took to heart the teachings of his sensei, not to let your mind or sword to be swayed by anger, love or greed. He had a tendency to let himself be affected by two of them so very often but not greed. Despite having very wealthy parents, he lived very modestly, something he picked up from his close friends and mentors. “Eheh, well…it’s not all about money, right? Hehe.”

    [ QUOTE ]
"Yeah? Didn't you talk to Edward? It's really not my place to talk about it, but the whole thing was pretty shady. Then again, there's no telling what patients agree to or don't, especially if memory loss is a symptom."

    [/ QUOTE ]

His smile had about disappeared up until now. His face brightened a bit after the subject was changed. “Yes, I did talk to Ed. He told me what he thinks is wrong but I don’t have any way to confirm his assumptions….well, not yet.” Ian tossed Sis a racket then turned to Orchid who’s posture had stiffened and her fist clenched.

    [ QUOTE ]
Orchid saw the tennis rackets in Ian's hands as she feigned a relaxed smile, "Ah! Tennis - I haven't played in years!"

    [/ QUOTE ]

“Are you okay?” he asked, handing her a racket. “You look like you we-” His interrogation was interrupted by another guest.

    [ QUOTE ]
"'ey, guys!" came a shout from the general direction of the rogue appendage's flight path, a man's voice that sounded very much like the stereotypical surfer fresh off the beach calling out, "Mind tossin' that back over here?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

“Eh!?” was all that Ian could utter at the severed arm that lay near Sis, his face now contorted in confusion and distaste.
  17. “Can I be the famous boyfriend on the second week of every month?” Ian joked through his wide grin, a spark of mischief in his eye. He laughed through his grin, as he elbowed Ella, hopefully to show he was mainly kidding.

“Anyway, you sound kind of paranoid,” he said over his shoulder as they reached the gate of the tennis courts. “What medical experiments and magic are you talking about? This place is pretty tame considering the types of guests that stay here. I’ve been able to help out in a few extreme cases but they always have everything under control around here.”

Compared to the shooting range, this place was relatively low tech and low security. The only live guard there was around here was in the clubhouse that was nearly equidistance from almost all the other recreational areas in this part (the tennis and basketball courts, the outdoor pool, the fields which could be used for several different sports, the track, etc.). The person to stand guard in the clubhouse kept watch on the security surveillance and kept the keys to everything around there.

For the tennis courts, there were several nets lined up so around 4 different games could be played simultaneously, a group of bleachers to one side so you could be near any of the courts that were being played on, and behind the north side of the bleachers, a short roofed area was blocked off from the large rectangle that was the group of courts by a small set of stairs that went down into the earth and a steep hill that made up half the section and shielded the rest. In the blocked off section, some chairs, a few drink machines and tennis equipment. Normally, the tennis ball machine was locked in a shed-like building out behind the courts but someone must have been playing earlier and left it out, along with a mess of tennis balls scattered around two of the courts.

Ian came back to the group with a handful of rackets he retrieved from the area by the bleachers, guessing at the right sizes and weights for them. “So, who wants to play?”

((If you had a different idea for the tennis courts, Halo, I can just delete the two paragraphs with the area descriptions in them.))
  18. ((I was thinking your post would be...longer ))

“Well, we were just headed to the tennis courts to play a few sets,” Ian said after the group had finished talking back and forth, “We can all go together. Maybe even play a few doubles sets.” With that, Ian started leading to the courts, hoping everyone would follow.
  19. I thought that was Elmyra?....

.....no, I've never seen Tinytoons in my life.....

Calamity Coyote was very cute though....
  20. ((I almost forgot about this thread…))

Ian raised a brow at Orchid’s story. He didn’t really have a clue about her and now she seemed even more intriguing. “So exactly what conditi-”

    [ QUOTE ]
Orchid gestured towards Ian's headband, "Are you a martial arts practicioner?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Still a bit confused from the previous story, Ian tried muttering an answer. “Um, well yes but the headband is just something a friend-”

    [ QUOTE ]
Then she smiled to Kruth'T, "I'd like to hear about the worlds you've visited. I imagine you can tell some interesting stories." Then she looked to Ella, "I'd like to get to know you better, it's been so long since I've had a female friend to do girly things with."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Okay, so she changed the subject….I guess if she doesn’t want to talk about it, I shouldn’t force her to, he thought to himself. He was still interested in figuring out more about this woman. It might be good for her and everyone else if he knew more….or that’s what he’d like to believe.

    [ QUOTE ]
"Well, you can certainly get your fill here," Sis grumbled as she stepped towards the group. "Heya Ian, Ella. Waiting on the shirt for you, kiddo. I'm hoping it and a more substantial bathing suit arrive today." Sis glanced at her watch. "When's mail call anyway?" She nodded to Kruth'T, who looked familiar but whose name escaped her, and Orchid, who looked like she needed a few years in the sun. "Heylo."

    [/ QUOTE ]

“Hi Sis!” Ian burst out as Sis joined the group. “Wow, you look positively radiant this morning. Did you spend an extra hour powdering your nose or something.” He scratched his head about the mail call thing. “Not really sure. I thought people just picked it up from the front desk when it came or either have it delivered to their rooms.”

Ian was kind of excited that Sis was here now. Not that there was anything wrong with the others, Ian just felt he could relate to Sis a bit better. In his excitement, he ended up changing the subject. “Oh, and you should have been here just a minute ago. From over there,” he pointed at a tree, “Kruth’T was able to hear my heartbeat and tap it on that tree. Then he did Ella’s, mine and some birds and squirrels too. All at the same time! Isn’t that cool?”

He completely forgot about introducing Orchid and his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “Oh, right. Sorry, this is Orchid. I just met her this morning too. She’s really good at archery. Earlier, we were at the shooting range and she just planted shot after shot on those targets. I never thought the weapons this place provides were any good but she still managed perfect accuracy.”
  21. Ian laughed to hide his embarrassed ignorance. “Oh! Wow, that’s amazing!” he said with his wide grin, “I wouldn’t be able to hear Ella’s heart beat from this distance even if I tried, much less several heart beats at once.”

    [ QUOTE ]
"So, tell me about yourselves." Kruth'T asked quickly

    [/ QUOTE ]

When Kruth’T asked others to share, Ian just pulled the two ends of his headband to tighten it an opened his mouth to speak. “Well…” He didn’t get a chance to continue, as Orchid surprisingly rejoined the group.

One part of Orchid’s and Kruth’T’s conversation that sparked his curiosity was the undead part. This was the first time Ian was hearing anything of this and was probably what caught his attention earlier.

    [ QUOTE ]
Finally, he once again faced the humans. "I just have one real question." He paused for a moment uncertain if it would be rude to ask. "Whats an undeath?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ian nodded toward Kruth’T but his smile had long faded. “Do your people know of death? When an organism’s life functions cease and no longer perform actions conscious to their being? Well, undeath comes after that, when life is forced back into something dead. It’s different from revitalizing those near death though. Undead act different from how they were when they were alive.” His eyes traced through the group, going from Kruth’T, to Ella and then stopping on Orchid. “I’ve had the opportunity of dealing with vampires before which are a type of undead, but I admit I’m no scholar on the subject.”
  22. [ QUOTE ]
“Well they have a driving range if you don’t want to pull your…slashes” She smiled broadly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

“Hehe, funny,” Ian said with a short chuckle. “I might do that if I was playing around alone. When you’re playing with others around here, they generally like their serves returned within the fenced area around the clinic.”

Ian stopped and turned to watch Kruth’T. He started tapping the tree with a claw. Ian cocked a brow as he listened, a bit confused at what he was doing. A moment passed before Ian caught on, or so he through, to the beat. It was his heart beat….or at least he thought it was. When Kruth’T started tapping with his other fingers, he was thoroughly confused.

    [ QUOTE ]
"I generally don't bring my hearing to those levels, as it would be distracting in a crowded area. But it has proven useful, epically when tracking criminals."

"But as for my past, I am kinda stranded here. At least until my people find me at least."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Slightly embarrassed at his ignorance, Ian grinned with reddened cheeks. “Um, exactly….what did you do? At first I thought I caught on but then you lost me, hehe.”
  23. “Well, let’s go,” Ian agreed, speaking of the tennis and basketball idea. He started walking away from the bunker and toward the wooded path that lead back. “I’m not so bad at basketball but I have a bit of trouble with tennis….it’s kind of hard for me to pull my slashes, er, I mean swings. I hit the ball out a lot.”

Leading the group towards the courts, Ian was in a pretty good mood. The weather was nice, he didn’t have a chip on his shoulder like he sometimes did and he was semi-free to just goof off and meet people rather than do work. Turning his head toward the others to show off his pleasant grin Ian asked, “So, I tried looking up more info on some of you guys but they don’t let anyone in the records department. Can you guys do any little tricks that demonstrate your powers?” His cheeks reddened slightly, he was so used to jumping through hoops to entertain some of those staying at the clinic, it was strange being on the other end. “I’m just a bit curious as I’ve never seen either of you outside of the clinic or anything.”
  24. Interesting.....only problem I'd have is....philosophy? Theoretical science? Theology? Yeah, over my head, most likely.
