Not if you want to keep your character and account.

Sure I will admit that I have never done any programming like this. But I do know loads of HTML and have also programmed in Flash because um . . . oh yeah, I took classes on them.
RE: Still don't know what you're talking about.

Come back when you know a real programming language. And learn the difference between legacy code and fresh code.

I think that outcome is pretty much inevitable for any method they could have come up with. If you can come up with a system that makes everyone happy, go for it.

At least this way the unmarked name will more likely go to the person who looks at the forums more, thus the name is "more valuable" to them.

As for the time differential? Also inevitable. EU had it good for a lot of years in terms of getting dev info earlier than we did. Occasionally it ought to pay off for the people on this side of the pond. It's EU prime time right now, they're not totally unlikely to notice. It's not like most people go to sleep before 8pm over there. Things are different but not that different.

    Posi TF

If the team is not too large (5 players or less), and they are prepared for the first couple of missions to take longer, then the players can pretty easily run this at level 12. The key is to avoid a group size that generates bosses in every group, this is what will slow you down and kill you more often.

That kind of team makeup should gain a level per mission or so and from there the rest of the TF will be pretty simple.

As for what is on your team, go with ATs and powers you probably wouldn't expect.
    - Avoid too many melee types (they are missing key powers and slots that early)
    - look for Defenders and Controllers (but don't overemphasize healing)

Radiation or Sonic are good choices, as is Dark. Plant Control would be awesome as that is one of the most crazily front loaded sets in the game. A Plant troller (or 2) with Seeds of Confusion and the AoE immobilize can effectively tank for the team.
  6. Any decent regen scrapper can tank it for quite a while as well. It's a mite difficult to maintain tanking if other people are attacking it (since I have to expend considerably more END) but the only times I had difficulty were when my timing was off on some click powers.

The mire nictus regularly fires a power like Sunless Mire. It appears to be either auto-hit or super high accuracy. This power may tear through all of your Shield based high defenses.
Agreed. I've done an All Scrapper Invincible ITF with BillZBubba once, and the SR scrappers did very well overall, but the Regen scrappers had to pull this guy off and hold him while the team killed other things, because this would shred the /SR in short order

More time to do missions, less time to look for players of the right levels. Why is that hard to understand?

You're planning on doing this to the entire game?

I hope I have the wrong impression, as I love the sound of it otherwise. Removing the last of the restrictions around teaming is going to be a HUGE help. I just hope it can't lead to another AE-sized mess.
AE was a PL dream because it leveled people up to the mission minimum, but most of the foes were far above that. So a lvl 45 minimum mission loaded with level 51 or 52 foes was an xp bonanza. Now the team members will be auto SKd to 49. The leader could still bump the foes to 54 under the new difficulty system, but that would make the killing much harder and slower for them.

The team would be more likely to have to help, instead of just stand there, and thus more likely to be actually earning their xps.
  12. This is exciting. No more worrying over having enough mentors for people.
Also no more worrying over the dreaded "Lackey Leash"

They log every bug we send them. There are several reasons they may not get fixed right away though. These two are the most common:

    1) they can't reliably replicate the bug based on the info they have or the testing they do. If they can't find it, they can't fix it.

    2) It's a bug that involves code that a lot of things depend on, or it's in an area where the stuff is due for a larger revamp at some point. If they don't have a good reason to go in and do something, then they usually don't. There's no point fixing a bunch of bugs in a system that they're going to rewrite completely in the next year. They have their available time to do things pretty well scheduled, so they have to fix the bugs they can in the time they have.

In this issue, they're revamping several areas as well as just getting their hands on sections of the game they haven't touched in a while. This lets them address older bugs at the same time they do the new work.

    Mission help?

This is the one where you start outside a building, find Doc D, then go up to the top and go inside, yes? Keep looking, there should be elevators when you're inside and you can work your way further into the building. Capt Castillo is most definitely in there.

Half right. You get the special rewards once per character, as long as you're at least the minimum level. Any level past the maximum you have to find someone in the correct level range to go on the mission, but you still get the reward.

If I recall correctly, minions count as one, Lieutenants count as two and Warwolves (Bosses) count as three on the progress bar. I read that somewhere, and my experience seemed to back that up. But now, with the New and Improved Progress Bars, this hypothesis can be tested.
This was a player spawned rumor that turned out to never ever be true. Debunked by Positron himself.

Except for the bit about taking a travel power being better, this post is almost completely incorrect. Sorry.

My assumption, based on the rather forceful language of these "warnings", was that forum name changes is not a function they anticipate these board supporting. Ever.
I'm nearly certain it's not a question of the software supporting it, but the powers that be deciding not to continue to allow it. A change in stance I approve of, since it was done most often to frustrate people, and not for any good reasons.
