You are combat level 29 (as seen in the top right level bar) and the cyst is level 32. You are complaining that an spawn in a mission set to +3 is too hard -- it SHOULD be. If it's too much, lower your difficulty.

Quote:Look at the "C" in City of Heroes. The right of it closes like a Pac-Man (I'm not a font wizard so I don't know what the technical term is). In the font you linked, the C ends in a vertical line, not in the "Pac-Man angle". Now try Montreal-Bold, which is very similar to the one you linked, free to download, and actually matches the C shape. I think it's a better match.I was curious about this as well and just never really devoted time to look it up. Or rather look at a bunch of sans serif fonts...well tonight I had a bit of extra time to kill (The Sandman was late to our nightly date)
If I'm not mistaken it is: Twentieth Century Extra Bold

Same heroside. I've been hoarding a specific recipe that I bought for 1 million each during the last few weeks -- it already shot up to 50 million. It probably would go higher, but I'll content myself with turning 100 million influence into 4 billion.

Do you have Windows XP or Windows 7? My laptop is Windows 7 and it makes me wait a lot with 1GB.

Quote:I'm on the other side of this argument. I didn't give a rat's behind for COV when it came out, because I got this game to play a hero. Villains never called out to me. I eventually got COV (collector's edition in fact) just to see if I was wrong about it. Well, I have one surviving villain and I haven't played it in years.I believe the list of features revealed thus far for Going Rogue are not really worth its purchase price, particularly in comparison to CoV.
GR on the other hand, has stuff for my heroes to do. Just the promise to be able to go vigilante and beat some skulls in the Rogue Isles means that this expansion is, for me, what COV was for others.
The Complete Collection is $40, and includes a month of subscription ($-15) and an item pack ($-10). So I'll be "really" paying $15 for Going Rogue. For me, it's worth that much. -
Quote:This won't run the game. Period. 256MB of RAM will leave you hanging at the load screen for several minutes until you time out. 56K internet connection will go into red netgraph as soon as you get more than a couple of powers, or when you join a team.PC System Requirements
Minimum PC Requirements
Intel® Pentium® III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz
256 MB RAM
56k Internet connection
This is a little better, but zoning into SG bases and loading the market will still freeze the computer. For proper enjoyment of the game, 2GB is quite necessary these days, unless you don't mind a lot of memory swap going on. -

Any news on getting Argentina a distributor that doesn't stink? -
I have a small laptop (supposedly for work only) with a Celeron 585 processor, 1GB of RAM, and integrated intel graphics. It runs the game in what I'd definitely call "minimum mode". Also, forget about dialup. I had a few power failures in the last couple of weeks and tried getting into the game with dialup from said laptop. It would start, yes, but as soon as I moved, I lost connection to mapserver. You need at least 256kbps downstream for it to be playable.

Added another 500 rolls.
The good news is, some recipes are falling in line with the new data; I can clearly see one 5x recipe, three 4x recipes, and six 3x recipes.
The bad news is, the bottom recipes are still trending 0.5x.
We're going to need a lot more drops than we anticipated for this; fortunately we have a ton of merits from the DP beta, and the DS beta soon. -
Just added 500 drops in the 10-14 range. Will have another 500 soon as long as Test doesn't go down.
-
Okay, according to Synapse the recipes are weighted either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. No more, no less. So we either need a ridiculous amount of drops, or we stumbled into a code problem somewhere.
I would like to go back to the level 10-14 table. It's the one with the least number of recipes, so it needs the least number of drops to be accurate. I'd like everybody to refocus their efforts on the 10-14 range until either:
1) the numbers in the table start fitting a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 weight; in which case we'll have an idea of how many drops we need for the larger tables.
2) we have 10,000 drops in that table alone, and the numbers still don't fit; in which case we'll have a better case to present about this being a bug.
Test is still open, so I'll go spend a bunch of merits on 10-14 rolls now and see what I get. -

And all it took was me copying and pasting a post from the Dual Pistols Open Beta forum. -
Quote:In an ideal world, you shouldn't need patches between issue releases; patches usually mean bug fixes and power rebalancing. A long streak with no patches means the game is working "mostly right", and you only get them to add new features. If you're talking about length of time between patches, then I do believe that this is the longest break, at just shy of 3 months, since the game started. That's not so much a communication issue, though.
Note the "ideal world" part. -
Check the DP closed beta patch notes:

The "speed run" exploit is indeed gone, and dual pistols are now available in the character creation screen -- but you can't access them unless you have the GR preorder, which is not yet available. -

I transferred my main character several times to other servers to participate in events (like the Carnie invasion) and Hamidon raids (go Justice) and then hopped back into my server. It was really refreshing to have a "server less" environment for a while, and I hope there are plans to make this a permanent feature in the future. It really added to my enjoyment of the game and making new connections.
-
Dang, that's a heck of a lot of rolls, Hell Jumper. Sorry for my delay in posting those, things got in the way. That brings the 30-34 total to 4663 recipes, and all but one of them dropped 10 times or more -- and again, the bottom recipe appears 10 times less than the top one, not five. This is quite consistent to be a coincidence, I'll ask Synapse for a comment. Updated wiki tables here as usual.

Quote:Have to reply to this one. Hamidon raids in Freedom were far and between, took several hours, and were not an enjoyable experience. Now we do 3 raids a week and we have several experienced team leaders who keep the raid down to about 35-40 minutes from Hamidon spawn time 'til he dies.
- Hami raids used to happen every week. Now they're non-existant. Ergo, the game is dying.
All it took was for one of us (ie., me) to ask for help from experienced raiders in another server (ie., Justice), learn the ropes, and come back and apply them in our home server. Now we raid regularly and people actually look forward to them.
You are a part of the community, just as capable of getting things started as anyone else. If something you'd like to do isn't being done, why not try to get its started yourself? -
Going Rogue is $40. Includes a free month, value $15 - so $25. Includes the item pack (that will NOT be given away even if they give GR access in the future), probable value $10 - so $15.
Let's say they do release GR away in two years like they did COV. $15 / 24 months = $0.625 a month.
Yeeeeah, I see this as such a huge ripoff. Right.
Seriously, think of it as paying for an extra month of subscription. If you want to wait, that's your choice, but it's a really dumb one. -
Hi, welcome to the game.
If you have 10,000 influence you can buy a jetpack and fly as early as level 1. It's a bit of a walk to get where you need to buy it, but if you're on the Freedom server, send me a tell (type /t @Leandro, some message) and I'll be happy to port you around and get you one.
If you are indeed on a trial account and can't send tells, leave your server and character name here, someone will look for you and show you around.
See you in game! -
I'd go with a slider. "Delete email unless it has over X amount of influence attached". Then I'd set the slider to a million inf. I'm never mailing myself any less than that, and if a spammer wants to give me a million inf just to delete their message, well, sounds good to me!

Twice in the last month, we had this crazy thing happen while fighting Hamidon: he starts jumping around trying to move away from the group, and ends up quite off-center. The mitos still spawn in their regular locations, so in theory we could kick Hamidon right out of its goo.
Why does this happen, though? People mention knockback, but when I used the Power Analyzer on Hamidon, he had 5000 mag resistance to Knockback, and I think Repel as well. I'm interested in hearing theories. -
