  1. I beat the game when I completed every single arc in the Ouropillar, including the Kheldian arcs on a Controller.

I beat the game again when I got every badge that can be earned (veterans don't count; I can't do anything to make them come faster).

I beat the game again when I started leading Hamidon raids and they were successful.

I beat the game again by finding a nasty exploit which awarded me Bug Hunter.

I beat the game again by making a billion inf in a single day in the market.

And I beat the game again by completing the "dream build" for my character, which includes five Panacea sets and costed about 14 billion inf.

I'll beat it again when I switch to Villain and get every Villain arc in their Ouro, too; and when I get every Villain badge. I don't have enough information to know how to "win" at Incarnates, but I'm sure there's a way to win there.
  2. Hmmm. Maybe I should do this next time instead of a Haiku contest.

Rent is based on storage items. If you don't have any storage items, your rent is zero.

Server population is very server-specific. I play in Freedom and I still see hundreds of people online all the time - 467 heroes online right this second.

That's kinda the point. If everybody and their neighbor has a full featured base, they lose their value as a SG recruiting tool. If you want the high end rewards, you gotta work for them.

They were disabled in, I think, issue 13.

Another idea: you know the mannequins in front of Icon, and inside? The current Doppelganger tech might allow for them to be replaced by anyone's costume on demand. We could have bidding wars on that; it'd be hilarious having a chicken model at the entrance of Icon, though.

Edit: in another vain... why not pay to have a doppleganger of your character PATROL a zone? I pay 2 billion inf and a Doctor Leo elite boss runs around Sharkhead for a week.
  6. And that's 20! Those who didn't put their global in the message yet can still do so and I'll count them anyway.
  7. Allastor, Umbral, First Son no cheating the rules... global in the message :P

(Reason: signatures are added automagically, I want you to double-check what you type in the message to make sure it's correct.)
  8. Okay, already sent to everybody; but @kidcrisis is bouncing my gleemails, so either he got the global wrong or it's an EU account. Everybody else who wants the inf, make sure to put your global handle in the message!

Oh, the influence is in the gleemail anyway. It's just not infamy :P
  10. @kidcrisis - Is this an US account? It's not going through. Everyone else, check your global email!

@ChicagoDoodler - I only play Heroes, so this is blueside. Maybe when GR hits I'll do villainside.

  11. Need a little extra influence? Just leave a reply saying what do you like best about COH in Haiku form, and your global handle. First 20 replies get 100 million influence each via gleemail (so, 2 billion influence total). I'm on an US account, so I can't send it to EU accounts, sorry.

Edit: here's an example that was given to me ingame:

[Tell] Alora Jane: I made a blaster today
[Tell] Alora Jane: and I attempted to level him up
[Tell] Alora Jane: I died a horrible death

It's not a "best of COH" Haiku, but I still found it cute

Remember to leave your global handle!

To remove the most amount of cash by using the billboards, they should be bid on, individually. From May 31st to June 6th, bids are collected for the period June 7th - June 13th. To prevent someone from winning a billboard at the last minute by adding a few influence, the "next bid price" would have to increase based on how much it currently costs: a billboard that's currently at 10 million inf would have its "next bid" set to 20 million, but a billboard that's currently at 1 billion would would have its "next bid" set to 1.5 billion.

I have no doubt that the billboards near Atlas Park would reach two billion influence, especially during double XP weekends; but with that same cash you could bid on a lot of billboards that are placed in less popular areas, yet still get a lot of traffic. For example:

You see that billboard every time you jump from WW to the University in Steel to do some crafting, or when you go to WW from anywhere north in the zone. I'd drop 100 million inf each for those puppies in a heartbeat.

This Vanguard billboard next to Icon in Steel. While I don't play with costumes much, there's ALWAYS a bunch of people in Icon, no matter time of the day. I took this picture at 7AM EST an there were six people inside Icon. I'd drop 50 to 100 million in this one, too.

To keep the art quality consistent, we should get a bunch of premade backgrounds and just be able to add text and an emblem on top of them. That way CS only has to worry about the text being inappropiate, which can be checked quickly.

Alpha Upsilon 24-2 disagrees. You found this tattered diary beneath a pile of bones. It reads:

'I, the mighty Golden Girl, have triumphed, but victory is not as sweet as I imagined. In my zeal to conquer this feeble world, I have instead demolished it. The people I would have ruled? Dead, though not entirely gone. They linger in these lands as foul, angry spirits. They hope eventually to find a way to destroy me, but I am not concerned. I am Golden Girl! I need fear no one, for my power is truly beyond all limits.'

I don't see how you were "tricked". They gave the incentive of access to two powersets easly if you prepurchased. If you didn't want early access to those two powersets, there was no reason to prepurchase. I haven't bought any version of Going Rogue yet, and I see no reason to hurry.

The problem with this is that it only removes 2 billion inf per cycle (since that's the max that the market can handle). Make it a straight purchase, 1 billion inf for 7-days of yellow title, non unique. That'd make a TON of influence go 'poof' very quickly.
  17. Just a minor nitpick: the promo enhancements are 16% enhancement, as per theOcho. That's slightly less than DO strength, and 32% total. This is consistent with existing level 20 IOs in the market (dual aspects enhance for 16.0%), and since "level 20 DO strength" doesn't make any sense, I think the promo site meant "level 20 IO strength, almost the same as DO strength".

Well, I lead Hamidon raids every weekend, and I think it's a lame encounter too. I like the community aspect of it, but beating a giant blob of jello is not how I imagined the hardest encounter in the game.

Leading Hamidon is good for people who like to lead teams. It's the ultimate in team coordination: you need everybody to be in the ball and know their role. If the Hamidon raid leader screws up, the whole raid tends to go bad really, really quickly. Last week, I accidentally hit the "EVERYBODY GO IN!" macro instead of the "TANKS GO IN, EVERYBODY ELSE WAIT" macro. We didn't ALL die by miracle; we had really good tanks on the mitos and lots of rezzers, but for a minute there I thought "oh <bleep!>, I just got everybody killed".

Hamidon is a good encounter for community reasons, and for those who enjoy leading a huge team together. But is it fun? Meh. For sheer fun, I like the chaos of the Rikti War Zone. The Cathedral of Pain was live for a very short time, and I still found it more fun than Hamidon. Hamidon has good mechanics, but the enemy itself is really, really uninteresting.
  19. I'd pay 10 million inf for 1 HVAS or 1 Longbow/Arachnos Mech (same one you earn in RV; temp power version, not in-zone Heavy) and 50 million for a Warburg nuke.

So... merits, tickets, temporary powers, etc. We just don't use the same name.

Not heroside. At level 10 you can already slot Yin SOs:

    - Mutation/Natural gets Damage SOs.
    - Science gets Recharge SOs.
    - Technology gets Endurance Reduction SOs.
    - Magic gets Accuracy SOs.

All my characters are Natural origin, so I have a bunch of low level damage SOs in my SG base storage; as soon as any new character hits level 10, I can slot for way more damage than the 5 enhancements from this promo would allow.

I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat. It does sound like a decent solution.

No, just no. They'd have to match the RMT prices, which are about 15 dollars for a BILLION influence. That completely destroys the ingame economy.
