Unless it's redside only, but what sense would that make.
It's one of the dialogue options after you finish the arc. You flat out ask him who is Mender Silos and he says it's Nemesis.

You mean the 30 minutes since I logged in until we were killing Hamidon? We had two raids in a row both tuesday and wednesday, and they formed with no preparation whatsoever.

The mito tanks did great, they only miss on the first mito, after the first mito dies they join the scrapper cloud and get drops same as everybody else.

The Hami taunt team should do fine if some of the buffers are also joining the green team, but I didn't ask.
  4. Two Hami raids in a row; took 1 hr and a half, and got 14 shards. Then today, another two Hami raids, and I got my Uncommon boost; 2 hrs (monster phase took longer today). So, 3 hours and a half for my Uncommon boost.

We had two earlier in the year but the attendance was very low. The first one barely managed to finish, and the second we just had to give up for lack of interest. So, until redside actually shows up for Hamidon, no.
  7. It makes me happy to report that Hamidon mitos have a very high chance to drop Incarnate Shards. This means that those of us who actually fight the mitos and help during the raid get a better reward than those who sit in the rock and leech.

We ran Hamidon twice in a row, getting Merits the first time and Shards the second time. Counting both raids, my team qualified for drops from 119 mitos (that is, 119 mitos gave us Influence rewards) and I personally got 10 shards out of it. That's a 1 in 12 drop rate, and it might be better, since the sample size is rather small. I didn't ask around what everybody else got, but it seemed like everybody got 4-6 shards from each raid, plus the 4 shards at the end.

I reached the Hive wondering how long it would take me to craft my Alpha Slot; one hour and a half later, I had it crafted with 3 shards to spare.

"It was here that Earth's explorers first encountered the mysterious entities of the Shadow Shard. Their threat was implicit and the need to keep them contained became a driving force in the establishment of Tempest Sector. As a representative of Paragon City, you have joined the fight to prevent the denizens of the Shadow Shard from extending their range into your home dimension. Some see their discovery of Primal Earth's dimension as inevitable; a "coming storm" which could rival the Rikti Invasion in destructive potential."
  9. Two different approaches:

    1) Implement banks in the game. We already have a bunch of bank buildings and interiors, let's use them. Speak to any teller to deposit influence in the bank, store it on a 64-bit integer, for a cap of about 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 influence. Markets and personal cap remains at 2 billion, but you can transfer influence to someone else's account by just providing the global. A COD option could also be available at the bank: email an item but ask for X influence from their bank balance in return (with a fee like the market's for the service). Requires coding, so probably won't happen.

    2) "Coin" salvage. Wenthworths already has a "Fixed Price" category; add salvage pieces worth 10 million, 50 million, 100 million, 500 million, and 1 billion to the list. They would sell at any vendor for same amount. The character inventory would be limited like all special salvage, so 9999 coins worth 1 billion would be the cap. Markets and personal cap remains at 2 billion, but you can trade 3 billion with someone in the same server by giving them 3 coins worth 1 billion. This would be ridiculously easy to implement (just add the salvage to the market listing) but it's doesn't help for cross-server transfers (you could email the pieces to yourself, make an alt in the server you want to transfer, do the transfer, then email the thing you bought back to yourself).

  11. Very interesting, however the lag between the gesture and the actual power execution is quite distracting. I have that problem with all "gesture interfaces", making a gesture will always take longer than just hitting a key.

I'll still be pretty tight on enhancer slots, but I can at least use the free slot in the 'Fear' power pool to give AK something akin to a 'Hiss' power (even if it's not too strong)!
Hissing powers are no match for cute powers.
  13. Hadn't noticed this thread before, but you can guess where I stand in this. I've only managed to buy the booster packs by giving my account details to a global friend in the US and have them buy them with their credit card, then paying them back via PayPal.

Attempting to buy using a proxy triggers PayPal's anti fraud measures (understandable, since it would recognize the address as a proxy server) so faking the IP is not even an option.

Guess I better update my avatar, I'm at 973 right now. Still need the COP and the Master Cuda, but I've been waiting for Inherent Fitness and the Alpha Slot to make it easier.
  15. I've asked for this before. Yes, there are plenty of alternatives as posted above, but having the clock as part of the UI would look better.

Well, of course he said Nemesis -- you told him "My advice is Nemesis"

By the way, when someone says "my English is very good" it usually means "I can understand what you say, but my replies might not make much sense". Don't worry about such a person not understanding you; they will ask for clarification if there's something they don't get -- or use Google Translate themselves.

Chances are the person would have understood your messages just the same if you'd typed them in English; they have to navigate the game interface in English all the time anyway (COH is not localized in Spanish). "Tips", in the sense used in COH, would more likely translate to "Rumores" (rumors) since "Consejos" inherently carries the meaning "Advice" in Spanish.

I'm not sure -why- the devs implemented this.
An Influence sink, as a way to stop the amount of currency from growing completely out of hand. Like you said, it isn't doing such a great job at it, because a single person can generate crazy amounts of money in a short period of time.

This doesn't mean we should give up on them, however. We need more influence sinks, not less. A lotto would be a good way to do that, in a different way: buy a ticket for 1 million influence, and each week one winner earns 100 million influence. That would likely bleed a huge amount of influence from the economy.

When targeting a player that does not have anything slotted in the Alpha Slot, their level shows as "50 (-4)". I ran the TF while under this debuff, and my own display said that I was fighting at level 50. I did not feel particularly nerfed, but then again Phantom Army is indestructible, I have a ridiculous amount of accuracy bonuses, and my Empathy buffs work just the same for my teammates regardless of combat level.

The (-4) debuff affects some characters harder than others.
  20. I got 11: Through the Looking Glass, Colosseum (I joined the game in i4), Forest of Dread, Along Came a Spider, Breakthrough, Invasion, Midnight Hour, Power and Responsibility, Architect, Power Spectrum, Dark Mirror and Alpha Strike.

I missed Shadow of the Past, Council of War, Destiny Manifest, To Protect and Serve, a Stitch in Time, Anniversary and Shades of Grey.

Not me. 1Mb/s downstream. However, I have high latency (300-400ms) due to my location.
