I haven't updated it in forever and doesn't even have a host anymore, but Splasher can do that in Windows XP or in Windows Vista/7 if you run it in Administrator mode (possibly with UAC disabled only). If you run it in regular user mode, UAC from Vista/7 gets in the way and doesn't let it do its thing.

Quote:Currently if you run a level 25-30 TF with a level 40 character, you are exemplared to level 30. I am going to assume that the non-Incarnate TFs that currently cap at level 50 will remain capped at level 50: even if you have 10 level shifts, you will still be 'exemplared' to level 50 for the STF, ITF, etc.One level shift per slot for the "level 60" that the devs have mentioned would mean that running the current high level TFs would give you gray AVs capped at 54 - so those MO badges might need tweaking
And I have no clue how the level shifts would interact with super sidekicking. -

I decided to go to Bloody Bay to hunt some masks for a badge. when I got to the helicopter, I couldn't help but notice that it looked... odd.
More images here. The textures kept changing randomly, with no apparent reason. -
Quote:Heh. When I saw the thread title I instantly thought TF2, too. They devs are still negotiating with Valve for a developer to help us for our poor, hatlessness

Your last post prior to this thread was on March 28th 2010. You missed:
- Issue 17: Dark Mirror, with the clones.
- Issue 18: Shades of Gray, with Praetoria.
- Issue 19: Alpha Strike, with the first Incarnate slot.
There's quite a bit of new stuff for you to do. Issue 20 should be here in a few months, and it's been referred to as "the big one" by some devs. -
I was about to go to sleep when someone adds me to their Steam friends. Turns out it's someone who needs help setting up their new COH account. I tell him where to go, and when everything is set and done I attempt to lure him into Freedom. And then this happens:
So, if anyone wants to show a very confused new player around, this is his Steam profile. He's currently making a new hero blaster, and I'll post his global handle once he gets one. -
Quote:I'm pretty sure it does. You'll get the CD Key to complain to support, but whether they'll exchange it for an US key or not is anyone's guess.Does anyone know if buying the game via Steam automatically defaults to the region you're buying it in?
You could, however, have someone with an US Steam account send the game as a gift to you, then Paypal them back. Or gift them back a different $10 game. -
Quote:Those were a separate code and not part of the Complete Collection. When you bought it on GameStop they printed this 'Perk' code on the back of your receipt.Does anyone know if we can get the GR version where you get those special enhancements? I believe the ones that work 1-20? I think it was a Gamestop exclusive from what I remember...?
Quote:Buy the game through steam, then head over to your game's library. Right click Going Rogue, and click on manage account. This should take you straight to the NCSoft manage account page. Enter in your username/password, and it should give you the option to create a new account or upgrade an existing one, like it did for mine.
It looks like it'll try to redownload the full client to matter what. But you can always use your existing install. -
I finally managed to log back in, forums blocked me for half an hour.
If you already have the complete collection (I bought it from GameStop back in August) and you apply the Steam CD key, you get a month of game time. The key will be listed as "Retail", but it looks like the Steam CD keys don't conflict with the Going Rogue Complete Collection keys from stores. -
Quote:They're not different -- at least, not yet (no revamp). If you do the new Tina McIntyre arc, you're sent to Praetoria outside the city and you fight DE. They look exactly the same as Primal DE.
Of course the Clockwork got a whole new look in Praetoria so who is to say the the DE couldn't have something similar. -
Looks like my best chance for a COH M&G is to take a vacation in Brazil then.

Quote:Thanks, I'll try them.www.shatteredcrystal.com I have used them, and they actually email you the codes

Quote:I'm not in the US, so the free shipping is not valid. Cheapest shipping is $17 and it takes forever. I'm still waiting for a DVD set I bought in early October to arrive; here's what the Amazon folks told me when I contacted them:Amazon sells the time cards for 14.99 with free shipping. That could be a good alternative, that is, if Amazon works for you.
Quote:I'm sorry to hear your DVD and books didn't arrive by the estimated delivery date of November 11.
In my experience, late packages arrive not long after the estimated delivery date. Please wait until December 27 before requesting a refund or replacement. Otherwise, you might have to deal with returning a package.
[...]
To ensure you receive this shipment, I'll keep track of your package and send another e-mail on December 27. -
Doesn't work for me. PayPal *used* to work, but for the last couple of months it says that the transaction "did not past risk assesment", and that's that. No game time for me. My account expires the 27th and it'll likely remain expired until I manage to hunt down a time card again. Took two weeks to get one last time, and trying to buy them on other websites resulted in various un-fun things, such as this one. So come December 27th, no COH for me for a while.

I have 94 leftover shards and I'm waiting until new boosts arrive. I have a very clear idea of which boost I want to ultimately get, and I'm guessing it will take well over a hundred shards to make. Not to mention the shards might be usable for the Judgement slot when it arrives.

Quote:There is a really nice story arc in the AE which has the premise that the Clockwork King was actually one of Penelope's childhood friends. I think it's Dev Choice, but I can't remember the name or ID off the top of my head. The only thing that saddens me about this reveal is that for the longest time I had had my own crack theory that Wu Yin was actually Penny's adoptive daughter, and her REAL father was none other than the Clockwork King. (Ever notice how he refers to Penny as his "Clockwork PRINCESS" when he is the "KING" and not his "Queen"?)

Quote:Avoid teaming with people who take the game so seriously that they feel entitled to call other player's names if things don't go their exact right way.I joined the Apex TF for the first time, the leader was already experienced, giving out orders and plans. The last mission I entered right as he said dont enter, then got chewed out for it, some badger on the team swore up and down if she didnt get all the badges that she'd do something to me, that wasnt nice. That got me angry, almost quit but didnt. The heat was taken off me after the other tank didnt get the concept of moving from the blue stuff and kept dying.
So Im left wondering, how I can make TFs fun again.
I lead TFs often and I've had to tell people to chill out and remember it's a game more than once. That badger who wanted to get "all the badges"? I would have told her, "You don't need to get them all in one run. If you don't get them this run, you can try some other time." I am very clear with everybody that I play the game to have fun; in every Master TF run with the old method (no deaths, no temps) I always stated before we enter, "I'm setting this to Master: if we get it, great; if we don't, also great."
So, TFs have not been any less fun for me, and if a TF makes me feel frustrated, I just don't do that one. -
Vanessa DeVore was an Art History graduate student in July 2000; that would make her 26-30 years old in 2000. Penelope Yin was introduced in 2006 as a teenager, so it's very possible that she was born while Vanessa was 18-22.

Quote:Skipping two blooms = skipping 36 mitos = forfeiting your chance of 3 shard drops. I'd don't think we want to skip blooms.PS. You don't end up running 2 - 3 raids (on rare occasions 4) without being efficient. Yay for days when we skip two blooms.
This assumes your teams are diversified enough to hit all the mitos in every bloom, which I strongly encourage. Put some scrappers in the range team, put some controllers in the tank team. Everybody wins. As you can see in my previous post, in last night's raids I received rewards for 127 out of the 144 mitos; it's not perfect, but it's a lot better than ignoring 24 yellow mitos per raid because you're a blaster. -

Quote:Sure thing; I won't be online tonight because I have to work, but send a global tell anyway and I'll send you a channel invite when I am online.I had been wondering how to get involved in more hami raids. Would you mind if I sent you a tell as well Leandro? I'm relatively new to Freeom and have been learning the ropes (quite a culture shock from my old small server).
Also, updating the numbers:

Doesn't HeroStats already provide DPS measurements? It sounds like something right up their alley.
