Long live the new flesh!
What were we talking about again? -
"That's mine!" Cobalt yelled as she charged after Danica with her nerf gun locked and loaded.
-
"That my mallet!" Cobalt cried as Feliks managed to wrench it from her grip. Taking a step back and reaching in her backpack, she drew a large nerf gun and aimed it at him. "Give it back!"

For instance, in theory, in the AH101 RP, Soviet_Strike's maltans could have put a tracer on the titan and followed it back to the island.
[/ QUOTE ]
In theory, which is why I stated in the intro for AH101 that such devices will not work.
No one wants their character to die. I tried doing it a couple times and always ended up resurrecting the character somehow within a story or two.
In my old group there was only one guy who always made a new character for each adventure, even when the new one was a direct sequel to a previous one and staring the same characters as before. Either he'd kill them off at the end someway or have them ride of into the sunset never to be seen again.
I get attached to my favorite characters and like to see them continue to grow. Plus I'm too lazy to write a new one all the time. It's one thing to roll a bunch of new characters in the game to try out different ATs and powersets, it's another to try to give each and every one of them a good name and thorough backstory.
The thing that boggles my mind is seeing the same characters in every RP thread at the same time. I could see this working in threads that are in alternate realities or 'What If?' types of settings, but not in threads that are supposed to be occuring at the same time or later in the same universe as the others.
It makes me wonder how you keep all the character development and relationships from becoming a muddled mess when you're participating in multiple sequels and prequels for a story that has not even ended yet. -

As for WHY demons are so annoying...because it seems like everyone and their granny makes demonic pacts for awesome powers. It's cliche!
[/ QUOTE ]
Vampires are more cliche than demons. Just about all mythologies treat vampires the same, at least with demons there is a greater amount of variety to work with.
As for ATs, I get annoyed when people insist on not following them because it more often than not leads straight to tank-magery. As a GM it also makes my job more difficult when setting up challenging encounters if one or more characters is a walking plot device who can pull a counter for everything out of his back pocket. -
Cobalt proceeded to thwack Feliks with the foam mallet as well. "Outa my way!"
-
Woo hoo, new album means more songs for the list, and that album is 'Last Man Standing' by Fr/Action.

The Living and the Dead
("It's been many years since I left for vengance on my own, and after this time all the truth is beginning to show. The demons I hunted were always so easy to see, but now I know that the real demon is inside of me.")
Ground Zero
("Living with a vengance is what I do, I will be the last man standing when all this is through.")
Cobalt Stinger
Aftermath
("Welcome to the wasteland, welcome to the aftermath...all this time we knew this day would come...")
Partners in Crime
("I watch your back, and you watch mine. We are partners, partners in crime.")
Kathode
Walking the Edge
("Now I'm walking the edge, try to stay on the line.")
Irreversible
("If everything I knew was wrong and everything did not belong, and everthing I though I'd lost was never worth the cost. If everything I thought I'd won was everything that came undone, and everything I thought would last could never change the past.") -
Cobalt reached Experiment and started thwacking him with the foam mallet while he was down.
-
Cobalt stood there blinking confusedly, sopping wet with her pigtails now drooping down on the sides of her head.
Seeing the spine stuck in the hose, and looking back at Experiment, she put two and two together and while not coming up with four, still figured out that it was his fault.
Cobalt reached into her backpack and pulled out a massive foam-rubber mallet that could not possibly have fit inside the bag and charged at Experiment howling some unintelligible battle cry. -

((Bit confused. I know Io and Stell are in the Tree fort and I'm pretty sure Rosalind is there too. And the Malta crew is in the play scape fort. So if Kathode is in the tree fort wouldn't she have been spared the blast of water.))
[/ QUOTE ]
((You're confused? I thought the tree fort was the only fort.))
((Oh well, cats hate getting wet so it works out fine this way.))
Kathode was quite upset now and had red lightning crackling all over her body and zapping anyone nearby with the equivalent of a static shock.
Anna was not pleased at her dress getting wet either. However, it began to dry quickly as her body heat rose. Soon she was nearly dry with a cloud of steam coming off of her. -
What it didn't save them from was the electrical shock that erupted from Kathode when she was startled by the incoming mass of water.
"I HATE WATER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, sitting on the floor of the tree fort with her clothing soaking wet. -
"Ewww...wet doggie smells!" Anna said when the water balloon hit Rosalind. It figures that her and Kathode would side with the boys, they were both tomboy girls anyway.
Naga looked up at Shiro from where she sat on the floor and returned the cup to him, then took his hand and dragged him out into the yard. -
"That look like fun!" Anna said as she and Kathode joined the boys in hurling water ballons out the windows of the tree fort.
-
Naga was dismayed that her pounce attack missed, but Shiro seemed to have not noticed her so she turned around and tried again.
-
The moment was disrupted by Naga pouncing on Shiro from out of hiding. She had been watching him since he entered and wanted the cup he carried with him. Something in it smelled good.
Meanwhile, Anna was climbing the ladder to the treehouse while calling Kathode and Io silly for doing it the hard way. -
The little spider-bot which had been riding on Cobalt's head earlier was now peeking out from where it was sitting inside the front pocket of her blue overalls. She ran over to the toybox and began tossing them out in search of nothing in particular.
Kathode was not to be outdone and started climbing after Io. The small claws on her hands gave her extra grip on the bark of the tree. -
"Don't call me kitten!" Kathode shouted back at Io. As Io jumped up to the first branch, Kathode had built up enough speed to run clear up the side of the tree trunk and grab the second highest branch before falling back down.
-
"I bet I can climb faster than you!" Kathode taunted Io before breaking free of Essex's gentle grip and running out into the yard much quicker than a child of her size ought to be able to. "Let's gooooo!"
Cobalt was busily stuffing the beanie babies back into her bag before trying to catch up. She was the first to notice Shiro arrive. "What, another boy?." She said. -
Cobalt was talking to Nessie again. "Momma made my hand, and eye, and gave me this bag." She said, opening her backpack and proceeding to pour out what seemed to be an infinite amount of beanie baby dolls.
"I not know how they all fit in there." She added. -
((But can you watch all of them at once?
))
Naga gave up on the cookie jar and came back to the living room before anyone noticed that she was missing. -
Meanwhile, Naga had gone invisible and scampered off when no one was paying attention to her. It wasn't long before she was on the kitchen counter and trying to lift the lid off of the cookie jar, which was proving not to be easy with her clawed hands.
-
Kathode came out of hiding and took an open spot in the circle around Blightlord. She pulled the hood of her shirt over her head with her kitty ears popping through holes cut in the fabric. "I'm Kathode, don't try to pet me." She said to the group.
-
"I'm Cobalt." She chirped in response to Nessie. "Your arm is so neat, who made it?"
