hey, she's got scales. Those are clothes, right?
(I prefer her the way she is. semi-nekkid lizards FTW.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, mine doesn't seem to mind clothes over scales, but then again she comes from a rather warm planet. -
[ QUOTE ]
of course the great divider is they don't wear scarves :P
[/ QUOTE ]
Or socks either. Actually, that's about all that you wear, isn't it? -

And even though those are gorgeous screenies and background sets? All it makes me think is:
*travel time* must suck.
[/ QUOTE ]
My first thought as well. It sure is pretty but I wouldn't want to have to hike across it all day, every day. -

Just how did you lose them again? Chief Scientist Thompson asked the agent in charge. When the agent began explaining it again he cut her off. Its only three metas, cant you do anything right?
He stomped away in frustration. What was supposed to be a simple capture was turning into a nightmare. At first the trap was working, two of the targets had been caught with minimal casualties. But that third one had freed the other two and the body count on his side was rapidly rising.
And now they were reporting a fourth, unexpected intruder as well.
I want them all alive, especially the alien. And no more fooling around, bring out all the firepower you can. He told the agent, then after a paused he smiled. I think its time they met their future coworkers. Call in the Revenants. -
When I tried to do it I went with a Stone Melee/Invuln Brute. Problem was then they changed the villain version of Invuln to that ugly purple-black color and I couldn't stand the way she looked anymore with her toggles up.
I know Troll Ogres use Armor, so you could try that. I just hate the look of it so much I didn't bother trying to remake her. -
There wasnt much of a wait, Cobalts eyes opened and she sat right up hardly a second after the needle had been withdrawn, knocking away most of the sheet covering her. She looked down at her naked body, looked around at the lab, saw both Kathode and Naga staring at her, and then promptly screamed as she rolled off the other side of the table, dragging the sheet with her.
Yeah, its a Crey lab. Chill out! Kathode shouted at the hiding girl. Oh hell, keep screaming. Its not as if they dont already know where we are anyway.
Where are my clothes? Cobalt yelled as she looked over the top of the table. She was busily wrapping the sheet around herself.
Here. Kathode put her folded suit and backpack down on the table, shoving them across. She turned around and let Cobalt get dressed while Naga was busy searching the room for any other ways in or out. So can we get out of here or is this going to be a last stand? Kathode asked the lizardgirl.
Naga climbed up on top of a cabinet and pried a vent cover off of the wall. Look big enough to crawl through. She told them.
Fine then, we crawl to another room. Kathode had already decided to take charge. Cobalt, can you rig a surprise for them when they get into this room?
Ahead of you, as always. Was all that the green-haired girl said in reply. She was kneeling on the floor, assembling something from components taken from her backpack, parts that could not possibly fit inside it. She had already rigged the door with a smoke grenade that would trigger open it opening.
Outside the lab, a team was already working on getting the door open. Several guards waited with an agent and a pair of Eliminators while a technician worked on overriding the hydraulics holding the door shut. Team Bravo-Seven almost has access to the lab. Well have them captured again soon. Over. The agent said into her radio.
Good. Were a little busy up here, theres been another intrusion just a few minutes ago. Over. Someone reported back.
Another intrusion? The agent asked when the technician announced that he could open the door now. She ordered the men into position and then ordered the technician to open the door.
Immediately smoke began to pour out as the doors parted. When nothing happened after a moment, the first Eliminator started to enter the lab and was suddenly pushed back and knocked down as a hail of high-velocity bullets tore into his armor. Hidden in the smoke was an auto-turret, its gatling gun barrels firing away at anything that moved into view of the doorway. -
Jasmine looked back at Hali. "Well hello. Are they going to drag you away after a few minutes as well or is that not normal around here?" She turned her wheelchair and began piloting it towards the buffet. Just because she wasn't feeling social didn't mean she was going to go hungry.
Despite being unable to get up she was strong enough to lift a plate and fill it with food. When she couldn't reach something she pulled out a extendable rod from the side of her chair, on the end of which was a small pair of robotic pincers, and deftly retrieved whatever it was she was after.
Eventually she returned with a tray set on her lap. "And you are?" She asked Hali as she started eating. -
"Not unless you can regrow nerves and muscles damaged by toxins that some company dumped in the water supply, which they won't even admit that they ever made." Jasmine whispered back, not looking too impressed.
Apparently her father had heard it quite easily. "If you would just even consider..." he began to say.
"No! No cybernetics." She interrupted him. "The suit is one thing, but I don't want my insides all battery powered." -
Jasmine listened to Ella's introduction. "Memory holes?" She asked with an interested look on her face. Since the girl had come forward with her problem, and this was a hospital after all...
Dammit, no sense in keeping it secret. She thought to herself before speaking again. "I can't walk." -
Ella is interesting in the least. It was annoying at first her coming in with no personality whatsoever but she did grow a lot. It was those early impressions that put her into so much conflict with Kathode and Cobalt when she suddenly went from idiot to miss smartypants, which everyone else seemed to have failed to notice. Anna just didn't like seeing her being picked on by Sakura and her little firemen. Jasmine has only met her so I can't comment on her impressions yet.
Now what do you all think about Cobalt Stinger? -
The scientist was examining Cobalt again when he heard the door to the lab open and close. You certainly took your time, how long can we expect his speech trailed off as he looked up. The first thing he noticed was that his assistant was being held with a dagger across his throat by someone behind him who with red hair and was dressed in black. The second thing he noticed was the catgirl. She had a black backpack slung over one shoulder and was aiming a semi-automatic handgun directly at him, the model used by Creys own agents.
Step the [censored] away from her. Kathode told the man. The drug that had weakened her powers had not worn off yet, but it didnt stop her from being able to pull a trigger. The man wisely backed away from the table and didnt attempt to make a dash for the panic button on the wall. By the time he made it halfway there he would have been gunned down anyway.
Kathode looked at Cobalt and pulled the sheet up to cover more of her before speaking again. How do I wake her up? She asked him and he pointed at a tray of hypodermics. The one with the red label is a stimulant. It will counteract the tranquilizer.
She narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. If youre lying and that syringe does anything other than wake her up She didnt get to finish when the door opened again and a guard ran into the room. Someone just took out the guys down the hall and he saw the two girls and began to raise his machine gun.
Kathode swore as she moved to avoid his fire. Naga quickly turned and threw her dagger through the air, striking the guard in the shoulder where his vest was not protecting him and causing the man to drop his weapon after he got a brief burst off. The bullets that would have hit Naga deflected off of her energy shield and struck her former hostage instead.
The other scientist made a run for it, but instead of the panic button he was headed for the door to the next room. Kathode reacquired him as a target and fired off a round, which was far off its mark but still managed to hit him in the leg as he fled. He got through the door, which closed behind him, and locked it from that side. The alarm went off as well as he reached another panic switch.
The guard barely had time to back out of the room before Naga drew her sword and finished cutting him down. She then closed the door and locked it after Kathode told her how to use the controls.
Kathode swore up a storm before becoming intelligible again. That wont hold them for long. We gotta wake her now. She grabbed the syringe and injected Cobalt with the contents, hoping for the best. -
Jasmine looked at Ella as she sat down in a chair near where her wheelchair was parked. When she failed to respond after a minute her father began to speak.
"My daughter is a bit shy." He said to Ella. "I am Doctor Jonah Albrect and this is Jasmine."
"You don't need to speak for me, dad." Jasmine said in an annoyed tone. She looked back at Ella. "I'm Jasmine, and you are?" -

Blightlord only concerns me in that when he appears I know it's gonna be a pain in the [censored] to deal with him if it turns into a fight.
I do miss Khell's "When the World Broke". That's gonna be another odd gap in Cobalt's continuity.
Anyways, for those of you who read AH101, what did you think about my quartet of Dominators (Amanita, Menschenbrecher, Winterkill, and Mindskewer) that the students had a run in with on that dark and stormy night? -

Looks good to me, but I honestly think the middle one looks like a guy, or was that the idea?

In all honestly, I could mistake them all for effeminate guys really. It's primarily the faces, they just don't look them they belong to women. -

Rufus Sewell's, however...

Towards the back of the room was a young girl of about 18, seated in a powered wheelchair with a blanket over her legs. Her skin was fair and her hair an oddly dyed bright yellow-green color. Behind the wheelchair stood a much older man who was likely her father.
"It will only be for a short while." He told her.
"A short while is still too long." She replied in an annoyed tone.
"The suit isn't just being repaired, I have many new upgrades for it but they must be tested thoroughly first, to make certain that they are safe for you to use." He told her in a fatherly voice. "Besides, you could really use a rest."
"I'm powerless, you have any idea what that feels like?" She spoke through clenched teeth, still refusing to look at him.
"And if you don't take it easy for a bit you might be that way forever." It was obvious that his patience was waning. "Jasmine, you've been pushing yourself too hard and your body is deteriorating even faster. I don't know if the poison is still at work or if it might be the suit even. Until we know for sure you're going to stay here and let the doctors do their best to help you. They have some new treatments that are very promising."
Jasmine was silent for a good while, then looked back over her shoulder at her father. "Just for a few weeks, ok?" She asked him. It was clear in her eyes that she did not want to be here for even that long of a time.
"No more than a month, I promise you that." He reached down and patted her on the shoulder. "Why don't you try to make some new friends here." He said, indicating the people gathered across the room.
Jasmine showed no inclination to move from where she was. -

So why are you posting this here instead of the Defenders forum?

The only bad thing I can say Burning, and this applies to Essex as well, is that you still have a tendency to overextend yourself over too many story threads at a time.
In other words, did we really need another fight thread? --> points at Grand Finale -

I would guess stuff like that could happen on Virute...(Unofficial RP server) or Freedom...(Most populated server)
[/ QUOTE ]
In the words of Bill Hicks, where is this [censored] happening?
I play on Virtue mostly and while I have seen some odd things in Pocket D at night (mostly during holiday events when it is crowded) I have never had someone direct stuff like this towards me despite all of my villains being female characters.
But then again I don't "RP" to begin with. My girls have their backstories and may talk in a manner that is fairly appropriate much of the time but I get surprised when someone actually can't tell that it's a guy at the keyboard. I break character very frequently to get something done in the game rather than wasting time trying to tell someone to drop a debuff anchor using fancy words or what not.
So I can't tell you if this is "normal" in the RP community but it certainly isn't normal in the general game. -
((If this is the what can be expected from you then please stay out of AH101.))

LARPing a Fire Tank would be rather painful.
