    3. Don't Touch the Peons: The big boss summons low-level flunkies who con gray to the players and have weak attacks. However, each flunky can heal the boss for decent chunk of HP, and once they're defeated, the boss summons a new set. The trick is to leave one peon alive and beat down the big guy or gal.

To the OP, I'm the sort of player who might have 3-starred your arc, and I don't apologize for it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh I don't mind that, as long as you explain it. Doesn't help anyone a damn bit otherwise and I cannot fix what I don't know about. Even worse if it's a bug created by a patch that broke something earlier that day and you don't know until much later that you're getting downrated for something that is outside your control and didn't know about.
  3. At least show us the true rating or a breakdown of them. This guessing game got old a long time ago.
  4. 123 ratings at 5-stars last night, nicely sitting on the 3rd page.
126 ratings at 4-stars now this afternoon.

Losing all the 0-stars was a good first step, but it's not stopping these people.
  5. I have a high-level arc as well. While it's not designed to be epic in scope, "The Portal Bandits" is set to be levels 40-54 (originally 35-54) for two major reasons.

    1) Story: You're working for Portal Corp, which only happens after level 40 in the regular game and it also sends you to the RWZ in the finale which implies being over 35.

    2) Balance: There are a lot of custom critters that you fight (15 in total) who are designed to be challenging and it makes it way easier to balance them if I can focus on a small level range rather than a large one. So I assume that the player is at least level 40, all SO'ed, and has at least all their non-epic powers when they go to play it and labeled the arc to warn the player that it's not a good idea to attempt it before then.

So yeah, a level 1 could start the arc but they'd get their [censored] handed to them seconds into the first battle.

The trouble I have with this thread is he hasn't posted any more reviews yet.

Just a note, "MacGuffin Delivery Service" is currently bugged thanks to the entire damn Family group being bugged in MA. I found out tonight that apparently from 30 to 40 only Bosses spawn, leading to entire maps being empty as there are no LTs or Minions. Also found that when editing Groups, Family are missing from the list as well.

G'damn post-issue bugs, and right before a holiday weekend as well!

Edit: Just popped over to Test and the bug is not occurring there. Hopefully that patch will make it to Live real soon.

Since I14 I have noticed two very odd behaviours in the MA (Bugged then and just now)

In one of my missions there are two identical Fire/SS tank mobs. One is an Ally you get at the beginning and the other an optional boss in the middle.

When I first spot the Ally his shields and toggles are up and he cons purple (usually 53 when playing my 50)

As soon as I activazte him he drops all his toggles and level drops down to 50. If I lose sight he cons back up and toggles go up again.

The other is an enemy mob who uses all his toggles.

I noticed similar actions with my bubble defender ally. She will not use toggles once you rescue her, she is LT class.

Been playing around with different settings with no luck.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This only happens with Allies at level 50 and above. I compiled a lot of info on it and Sunstorm assured us that they're looking into it.

I'm honestly curious if anyone actually enjoys task forces

    [/ QUOTE ]

I do, when I'm leading them and have already weeded out all the "why are we not farming this for merits?" retards who were told before they were even invited that it was not going to be a speed-run.
  10. I'm waiting for Mayhem missions to be fixed. So many of the ambushes are missing that the side missions have become utterly boring. I set off all the alarms in the Pawn Shop last night and nobody came to stop me.
  11. I have not seen any of this, but then again I don't set decoy objectives to be required in the first place.

Back before AE hits the streets, there was talk on these boards about finding our Ed Woods and it looks like they just might turn up in this thread sooner or later.

    *Points at sig*

I've had good feedback on that one, YMMV.

Doesn't count when you deliberately aimed for Ed Wood territory.
  13. Hey LJ, how 'bout a review of "The Portal Bandits"? With issue 15 I feel that I finally have it close to a "final" state.
  14. Nope, no slots showing up for purchase.
  15. "The Amulet of J'gara" (1709, Heroic) runs from level 25 to 33 and the customs don't appear until halfway through. None of them are mezz-resistant aside from the AV and even then I give you plenty of optional backup.

"MacGuffin Delivery Service" (1567, Villainous) runs from 35 to 40 and is all stock enemies. Anyone should be able to solo it.

"The Portal Bandits" (3326, Heroic) runs from 40 to 54 and is designed to be tougher than normal. Predominately custom mobs which pack a lot of buffs, debuffs, and some mezz effects but lack mezz protection of their own. They're designed to keep you on your toes and a team should have fun with them.
  16. Arc Name: The Portal Bandits
    Arc ID: 3326
Keywords: Challenging, Custom Characters, Sci-Fi (canon-related)
    Length: Long (4 missions)
    Level Range: 40-54 (all missions)
    Morality: Heroic
Enemy Groups: Crey, Rikti, Nagan Hegemony
Description: A mysterious group has invaded a Portal Corp lab and sealed themselves within. You have been called upon to enter the lab and find out what is going on.
Major Changes: Expanded custom group by 5 members, wide-scale rebalancing of all custom critters.

    2 Stalkers? Why?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh lovely, so yet another piece of content that Stalkers are not welcome to participate in. Besides, aren't Stalkers supposed get a temp power that makes certain machines in the SF useable?

Funny thing is, we encountered those "sleeping" lost inside of a police station on a Kings Row radio mission. It was very weird to go into the police station expecting to see guns blazing and instead its filled with strung out Lost laying on any flat surface they could find!

    Villain SF>>>>Hero SF

The villains SF is just soo much more enjoyable. If you can't beat it the first time, don't write it off. Just like teams were failing the ITF left and right when it came out, it will take awhile for a stable strategy to develop before this SF can be completed regularly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This. It took me about four tries before I managed to beat the ITF. Now I can run it in my sleep.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I find it funny to hear those things. My team beat the ITF on the first try and didn't even know much about the Nictus thing at the end. We even had a *gasp* Thugs Mastermind with Gang War and we still figured out a way to beat Rommie.

But the ITF has no true gimmicks, if you have enough DPS you can simply pound him into the ground 4 times and be home in time for cornflakes. This new Strike Force sounds like something ridiculous.
  21. And here I was ready to get into a flamewar over an overrated HoF arc. You disappoint me.
  22. I think since the only ones who do this are Doctor Aeon and Professor Echo, and if you defeat Doctor Aeon in a MA mission he does teleport out when defeated, it's something coded specifically into that critter and not a general option.

I have one catgirl character, mostly as a joke. I just couldn't pass up such an awesome name.

There are some catgirl characters whose players really do fit the stereotype of giggly little girls, or creepy cosplayers, but there are also some players who have one just because they think the whole idea is funny, like myself and yuri.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just thought that a catgirl would be a fitting form for a superspeeding ElecMelee/ElecArmor Brute named Kathode.

Interestingly long after I played her to 50 I came across other catgirls with the same build. They're all so small though, making her look like a giant at 5'9" when seen next to her.

Bosses in "defeat boss" objectives will not perform emotes assigned to them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As of i15, my custom bosses were all emoting properly. Previous to the patch they were not.

Shield defense enemies still don't perform at least some emotes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Probably because the Shield is part of their toggles, which they're running at all times, so the Shield never goes away and that is breaking some emotes.

All other critters are emoting just fine. I can now have my mission full of dancing enemies when you crash their party.
