Quote:Lt. Belchy doesn't even qualify as a EB really. I've never had trouble killing him, even on a Dominator.Lt. Belchy is usually a pushover. I can't think of any villain ATs I've played that have not been able to solo him (even my lowly Stalker was able to put the vamp down. Granted, it was a tough fight for him (down to the wire for a change) if I remember correctly, but Bow Chicka Bow Wow was triumphant at the end.
Quote:Also, Cap'n Mako's mission to defeat Ace McKnight ends in hilarious fashion, as immediately after his mug for the camera his escort of Knives of Artemis start kicking his smug face in.
This would be hilarious if a) it was actually intended and b) he didn't spawn health-dependent Knives ambushes to chew on any spectating villains.
I haven't tested it recently but as of about a month ago it was still messed up despite some bug reports. -
Since when did taking a Scanner mission spawn an ambush on you? I've never seen that happen with a paper mission.
Also, who the hell thought that a LT and 6 Minions was an appropriate ambush for a lone level 5 hero who is running on the default difficulty settings? -
Quote:QFT. What's even more obnoxious was that non-customs still give full XP despite being utterly wimpy compared to Standard/Standard customs. Also, anything you could think about doing to make your custom critters anything less than extremely deadly at any level, or to restrict minion/LT/boss ranks from spawning for story purposes, has been nerfed - for questionable reasons.
Got to love it when the Devs implement a solution for a problem that didn't really exist. People haven't been farming customs since they took away the "Kill X Custom Enemies" badges back in issue 15 and the new SSK and Difficulty settings did much more to kill AE farming than any of these changes did. All this did really was deal major collateral damage to non-farm AE arcs. -

Give me 3 reasons why Cashoo shouldn't draw one of my characters.
Some say that Taclobanon is banned in 3 counties of the state of New Hampshire.

After the last couple WIPs, Vikki's is a lot tamer than I expected but still very fitting to her character.

Last night I got stuck loading for a long time, had to kill the game via task manager and log back in. The weird thing was that when I logged in, rather than being at the mission door in Fort Darwin I was instead in the center of Mercy Island, nearly a mile away.
It wasn't a rollback, I hadn't even left Fort Darwin yet on that character and was doing Burke's first mission. -
I'm going to be skipping Mud Pots and probably putting Power Boost off until the 40s. I have two other Doms with Powerboost who rarely use it and Mud Pots was near useless to me in closed beta. I used Hurl Boulder quite a lot though, so I'm taking that one this time around again.

Dual builds are pretty useless to those who don't have the money for an entire second set of IOs.
And even if I did, I'd rather be buying those IOs for another character.
Quote:Whichever issue introduced Ouroboros resulted in several posters objecting to being exemplared and losing their powers.
It was nice not having to make the decision between getting to 32 on my Warshade or finally doing Sister Psyche's TF, I got to have both. -
Taclobanon, we better back up. We don't have enough road to get up to 88.
Let's see if you Cashoos can do 90. -
Corruptors who play as healbots make baby Jesus cry.

Started a new hero last night, I haven't even finished my origin contact and I'm already level 5. No street-sweeping required.

Quote:If not outright contradictory now.I could not agree more. After Going Rogue I very much hope the developers consider revamping Issue 0-1 content. It's embarrassingly bad compared to the most recent additions.
Quote:Well, I'll certainly agree with you that Karst or whatever the Lost AV is called shouldn't be AV rank. But Nocturne and Sands are both supposed to be higher-ups in Arachnos (with Sands being an Arbiter, meaning he only answers to Recluse, and Nocturne being "the deadliest operative Arachnos has ever produced"), and Castillo is the leader of the Sky Raiders' operations in Faultline. -
Quote:Same here. Especially in that ugly region between 16 and 26 where I'm forced to delay new attacks because I'm trying to fit in travel power and fitness. With SSK, I'm far more willing to exemp/mal down. Most of my characters probably have some sort of lower level they'd prefer not to go under (i.e. sometimes I respec the character in a way that's really broken at lower levels... like only having 1 attack on a melee AT until the mid-20s), but I'd probably be willing to go down to any level above that, and if the cause was worthy (i.e. good content, friends, good reward, bored, etc) I'd probably join anyways... even if I was on a 49
It was also nice to do Sister Psyche on a level 30 Warshade and still level up during the TF. No more "wait, let me see who is in range for that and will still get XP".
You keep all powers that you have for up to 5 levels above the level that you exemplared down to. So if you took Stamina at 20 and went down to 15 for Positron's TF, you'll still have Stamina (and whatever you took at levels 16 and 18) during that TF. -

I find it very, very unlikely that any author managed to get their arc totally right the first time with no outside input. You're your own worst editor, after all.
-
Quote:Exactly, sounds like someone forgot to take Seeker Drones.Fact: If you are the one taking the alpha from a spawn at level 35+ on a Traps character, you're doing it wrong. Maybe, just maybe, that's true with Devices, but I can think of 3 other powers in Traps, all available earlier than Trip Mine, which take care of the alpha for you and allow you to toebomb in near-complete safety.

I had a hell of a time trying to figure out why one of my arcs would not publish, it was giving me that "copyrighted/offensive word" thing but of course not saying WHAT was triggering it.
Turned out that it was the name of a detail. See, one mission had a large number of battles in it and each one had different groups and dialog. So to save space I named them B1, B2, B3... and so on.
Turns out that "B5" is a forbidden combination of characters. /headdesk -
I'm an FPSer, but you couldn't pay me to play Champions. Just the fugly graphics alone are enough to keep me away.

Quote:You wonder why some people might not care about recoloring powers after having gotten used to the way everything looked over the past 5 years? You know, whenever I see people say "too little too late", I have to raise an eyebrow and wonder.
Power Customization is something I could have gotten excited about back around issue 4, by now all characters have been designed around the default appearance of the powers or I simply liked them to begin with. That is why I'm getting very annoyed with the ways that PC has broken some of the default colors and animations that I wanted to keep and didn't give me a way to stay with them.
I've heard the same from a lot of friends. They've customized a few new alts that they made this week (ones that actually have options, not all powersets do still) but existing characters have been left alone as they were already happy with how they looked. -
If only getting 75% reward for Standard/Standard custom critters is not "in line" with what it intended then non-custom critters should have been nerfed just as much.
MA is just broken is a different direction now. -
The only thing I've noticed is that a lot of common salvage has dropped in price drastically. Haven't seen much change in uncommon salvage.
Of course some items, like Alchemical Silver, are still vastly overpriced but that may be due in part to all the people playing new lowbie characters right now. -
Heck, I've seen someone hit Kronos Titan with Blackhole as well (the Monster version, not the Giant Monster). Happened entirely by accident, he was trying to phase shift all the Malta surrounding him instead.
