Quote:Biggest problem with PPD being a HEAT is redundancy.I'd ask for something I've never even seen before because for me, anything else would not be Epic. Especially not if I've already kicked its butt several times over on both Red and Blue sides.
Want to be SWAT? Roll a AR/Traps Defender or AR/Devices Blaster.
Want to be Psi-Cop? Roll a Psi Blaster or Psi/Emp Defender.
Want to be a Quantum? Roll a Peacebringer.
The only ones you can't already be are Hardsuit or Detective. -
Never failed that one. As long as you have some form of Stealth it can be completed in half the time they give you.
-
It's been like this ever since it came out with issue 10. There is no way this can be WAI because I've failed it before I even finished zoning in!

Quote:I wonder where the heck these numbers even come from, are these PvP sets or something?Wrong. They function quite *well.* And have before IOs. Without purples and hamis. You do not need a "eight or nine billion infamy" build.
I don't think I even spent 10 million on my Warshade and she does very well. -
Quote:I wonder if it may be related to the same bug that pops up in Darrin Wade's arc where Sigil and Kadabra Kill are always classified as Hero even if you have AVs = no and Bosses = no. There is something odd about fighting an even level "Hero" who cons red yet goes down as easily as a LT.While I can see where you're coming from and I've seen you post about it before, I'm not sure I'd want to go quite that far. I just fought a surprisingly weak Hro yesterday, and it was downright anti-climactic. I'm not against having the occasional tough battle, as long as it's occasional, and EBs pop up just rarely enough for that to be only occasional. Well, Maria Jenkins notwithstanding.
And I still hope someone can clue me in why my Hro'Dthoz was so surprisingly weak and why he didn't summon his Assault Suit on -1x3 no bosses no AVs. He didn't feel like an EB fight, he felt like a boss fight. -
Let me start off with the end of a battle with Professor Echo.
The Windup
The Delivery
Yes, I was uncloaked at the moment but it still counts as I was using Assassin's Slice to end the fight. Extra points for style.

And yet when is the last time you saw anyone excited to go fight one?

Quote:Not necessarily, I've played missions set to x6/No Bosses and didn't see a single boss-rank enemy. Yes they did spawn as LTs, but it didn't override my flag and move them up to boss. Now if someone else had joined me in the mission it would then override that flag. When you raise your team size, it overrides your boss setting (or seems to).
Too be honest the new system needs more options so we can get back to the old settings that people liked. "Bosses when Solo" needs to be divided into something like "Only Named Bosses" and "Random Bosses Allowed" so that those who want to fight that special guy at the end as a boss can without the risk of having the mission take three times longer because every other damn spawn is a boss.
I would also like to see an option to disable AVs entirely, even when on a team, when outside a TF or Trial. One of the reasons I hate doing Mayhems with teams is the risk of an Hero showing up and eating a huge chunk of the limited time, if not causing it to fail because we ran out of time before the ***** finally died. Quite a number of these critters are fun to fight as EBs but become utterly obnoxious when boosted to AV and you can't always have a player with Rad Emission along to keep it from becoming a chore. -
Quote:Yep, if I do a mission set to +0/x6 and turn bosses off they will still appear in spawns but be LT-rank instead of Boss-rank.Actually, the "Does prefer fighting bosses when alone" option is what keeps bosses, ANY bosses, from scaling down into lieutenants when solo. I could up the team size (and even +3 produced groups of TWO bosses), but they will still scale down to lieutenants if I don't prefer fighting them, so to speak. At least that's how I'm led to believe the option works.

It is rather annoying, I like fighting a boss at the end of a mission but lately I've had to run with Bosses Off because I was getting sick of running into one every ten feet or so. Especially when playing a squishy who is not fully slotted out yet or a Dominator against mezz-resistant foes and Domination is still recharging.

I definitely want the "Find the Exit" objective. I'm tired of having to fake it by sticking a required boss in the first room and spawning him at the end of the mission.
I also want locked doors and being able to specify who has the key. Of course that will be a bit complicated as it will need code to make sure that you don't accidentally place the keyholder behind the locked door.
Can we get the Kheldian sets in the custom critter maker already? PPD Quantums handle the forms just fine so I don't see what the big deal may be. Also make it so that the Forms are NOT Standard powers so we can make human-form Nictuses and such without losing the XP.
I'd like to be able to set a boss to escape by teleporting when they die, or at 25% HP. Right now it's hard to believably do missions like the Riders one in the LGTF. Also, it'd be cool if we could set it so that an ambush spawns with the teleport animation like Malta do when they spawn on the streets of PI. -
-
Now we just need explanation for how Malta gets Zeus Titans into those same little rooms.

The Devs have two simple solutions to that: either make it so that rep is no longer anonymous or disable it entirely.

My random button must be broken; it just gives me the same farm arc 3 times in a row, then another farm arc, then the first one 2 times again...
-
The only way you can be certain that you will not win is if you don't try at all.
-
Just as it should be.
I'll second that, it just makes his posts harder to read on the red background. -
Quote:Aside from story reasons, there really is no reason for Void Hunters to show up in the game anymore and even then they should only be in the Kheld arcs themselves. It never made any damn sense for Void Hunters to appear in the middle of spawns of Clockwork, Devouring Earth, Rularru, etc...And neither one is difficult to take down if you... I don't know, aren't asleep at the keyboard. In which case you're out of range of them anyway.
The point being, they're just not that big a deal. Never have been, no matter how they spawn. Sure, the first one you see is "OMG, what's that and what do we do?" After one, two at the most, you just take them out and move on. Jaegers are a bigger threat, especially in a big group, with the death explosion. (Yes, I know cysts blow up too, but they don't' follow you. And the nictus in all of them die off quickly even if you don't do anything.) -
Neg Rep Comment: "1920X1200. All windows shrunk to 75% of default. Clicking on powers with your mouse is slow and inefficient."
I'm sorry, but that is an inefficient way to say "LOL LRN2PLY!"
Honestly I wonder how that person can even read the game text at those settings, of course if all they care about if phat XP then reading is hardly an issue for them.
Anyhow, clicking with the mouse may be inefficient for some (probably those with slow hands and poor eye-hand coordination), but for others trying to remember dozens of different keybinds across dozens of characters with many different powersets and builds is rather impractical. Especially if you cycle through multiple characters in a week, if not in a single evening.
Besides, I have much more important things to keep track of day to day than a bunch of non-standard keybinds. -

Trolly can play any of the ones in my sig, but she is going to want to be at least 30 before going into the 40-50 arcs. She can even fight another troll girl in "The Portal Bandits".

Baron Zoria's Lair and the Demon-Infested Tech maps are both missing their previews in the MA editor.
