The inability to do so is one of the main reasons my characters are restricted mostly to one server. I might branch out more if I don't have to start all over again without several years worth of savings and an already-built base.

Animated tails, tails with belts?
WOO-HOO!! -

You forgot mine, it was one of the first entries but I put all of my arcs in the same thread so you might not have seen the updates.
Arc ID: 373846
Arc Title: Unfair Trade
Factions: Paragon Heroes, Paragon Police, Security Guards, Longbow, Strange Officeworkers
Morality: Villainous
Length: 4 Missions
Level Range: 5-10
Description: A friend you had made during your time in the Zig calls in a favor, leading to a quest to regain his powers while getting payback on the heroes who caused him to lose them. -

Is there supposed to be something special about this mothership raid that makes it different from the ones being run on other servers all the time? Heck, Virtue often has several running back to back on Friday night.
-
The obvious solution would be to build the pistol into the head on the cane. In fact then the cane itself could be the ammo magazine and explain why we rarely need to reload. OMG Dual Canes!!! *passes out*
-
Changes made to "Unfair Trade":
* Some adjustments made to the contact's dialog to convey his mood better.
* Arc now marked as 'Final'.
* Arc officially submitted to Aeon's 2nd Challenge. -

Naga Tereis (Pistols/Kinetics)
Tami Vandale (Pistols/Rad)
Naga Tsunumi (Pistols/Traps)

Then we get right back to that flamewar in issue 14 beta when a dev gave someone 7 DCs in less than 2 months. At the slow rate that DCs come out now it's better to give other authors a chance first.
-
Quote:Cheshire Cat has already gotten a DC from Doc Aeon, so another one is not likely to happen anytime soon.I highly recommend Signal:Noise by @The Cheshire Cat. I am home alone now in the dark, and I still can't get the terrifying image of the impossibly tall man out of my mind. Thus I challenge you, Dr. Thaddeus Aeon, to turn of all the lights and play this game when you're home alone. Then, when you're done, just go for a walk around the house. Doesn't sound hard does it? So you go and do that, and then give Mr. Cat his well-deserved Dev's Choice.

A bit like how The Drakule arcs go Parts 1, 2, 3, and 5. Apparently Part 4 was preemptively retconned out of existence.

Quote:Having both Rad/Traps and Arch/TA Corruptors, my answer is "hell no". Even with a Performance Shifter proc added to Stamina there is never enough endurance past level 30.I can imagine TA and Traps also being endurance friendly enough to play without fitness.
Maybe Vigilance can counteract some of that (Haven't played a Defender since issue 4 so I don't know) but I'd rather not have dependence on a inherent that only works when you're not doing your job well enough. -
Quote:You missed something in the previous mission briefing. The array of emitters is spread out over Paragon City, you went to activate the forcefield in the Shadow Shard to buy some more time by stopping the inflow of Rularuu.
[-0.01] NEW Continuity: briefing now mentions "We're about ready to activate the stabilizer emitter array", but didn't mission 4's stabilizer emitter array concept end up getting replaced by a force field generator? So not sure what this is. Maybe they have stabilizer emitters in addition to the force field generator? Reviewing my clues, I couldn't find any reference to this. Maybe I missed something? Felt it could use more explanation.
Quote:[-0.01] Disappointing: having Dr. Aeon scripted to escape in the debriefing is a little disappointing (negating the value of having defeated him). (Only marked off -0.01 as it is somewhat understandable for the story to want to put its toys back where they were found.) -

Quote:That map is so effin' broken. All of the ones that have indoor and outdoor parts are. Problem is that they are being treated as an outdoor map, so the Front/Middle/Back settings do not work and you have no damn control over where anything spawns. You boss can be at the top floor or right at the front door and you can't fix it.I was running a test mish in which my players had accepted a bounty to bring in Countess Crey, dead or alive. For the final map, I selected President Marchand's office. With the Crey tanks, rival Illuminati bounty hunters, some custom bodyguards it was an incredibly epic battle. They LOVED fighting Crey and the baddies on the roof of the skyscraper.
Which brings me to the question are there any more "interactive" maps like this and the Malta Warburg base in that people can go in & out of buildings? -
Quote:While EBs in the 5-10 range are really rare blueside they are not uncommon redside. I see nothing wrong with a EB at the end of the arc but there ought to be a decent reason for him being more than a boss.I agree this sounds like fun and I have been working on an arc for this challenge. I am avoiding playing anyone else's arc until I finish mine so I have a question for you all.
For a level 5-10 arc, do you think the a final boss should be created as a boss or as an elite boss? -
Changes made to "Unfair Trade": (spoiler free)
* Fixed the issue with the Defeat All objective in mission 1 not working properly.
* Added another plot detail to mission 1 to lead into mission 2 better.
* Rewrote some of the briefings, send offs, and debriefings for each mission to make the story flow smoother and clear up some plot holes.
* Toned down the allies in the 2nd half of the arc, they may have been making things a bit too easy.
* The escape from the lab in mission 4 should be a bit more challenging now.
* Added a few more "gifts" from Max's mysterious friend. -

I deliberately used heroes who are of little consequence in the long run and actually don't show up after level 10 anyway. After my arc your villain is not supposed to care what happened to them afterwards, for him/her it was just Tuesday.
-
Exactly, that is why when I playtested my entry I did it with a level 7 Corruptor who didn't even have a full set of TOs. If she could get through it with only a single death (due to recklessness) then anyone should be able to.

Quote:I can't wait for GR now if only so as to have a way to move my heroes over and get some decent content for them. Redside spoils you so much with contacts giving their phones right away, not sending you 2 zones away all the time, not sending you on a dozen fedex quests before even giving you an arc, etc... If only redside had Nictus and Martial Arts Brutes this wouldn't have happened.No. We aren't asking for 2+ years of villain only content...we're asking for anything that isn't attached with blue-side strings. I want to be villainous, not a hero-side lackey if I want to do anything other than the content CoV basically came with. CoV severely needs new sfs to round things out, and we need more arcs, period. The arcs are better written, which stretches out the replay value a bit more than blue side, but there is only so many times you can replay any arc before it gets boring.
And with releasing equivalent amounts of content each time, CoV will always and forever be behind in terms of content. Once again...we're not looking for a couple years of just villain things, but even just a couple bones tossed over would be nice.
Quote:I agree with that as far as it goes, but it shouldn't be an auto-join feature. A team lead should be able to list his team as LFM, at which point it'd show up in a Team Search window, along with any comments the leader has set, plus other stuff like leader's level, team size, mission level, and mission difficulty setting (there's a big difference between a mission set for +0 vs +4!).
But the leader ought to be able to set filter criteria like you can in the existing Search window. So for example you could leave it as "all ATs, all levels" or you could be more specific. A character doing a team search who didn't fall within the level range or match an AT that the team lead set would simply not see the team listed on his Team Search screen.
Also, no autojoin function. You'd have a "request to join" button that would send your name, level, AT, and optional tell text to the team lead. The team lead could accept or deny the request just the same as an individual can accept or deny a team invite. Having that type of control would prevent a scenario in which a 4th tank joins the team and the team lead immediately kicks him.
Oh and if I've GIgnored someone or used the player note feature and given them 1 star, please have my team never show up in their Team Search window. It'd save me from going "Welcome to the team! Err, oh wait, it's YOU..."*kick*
Also it would make recruiting quite a bit easier if the stupid player search didn't list all the people who are already on teams by default. I wonder how many people are out there that I cannot find because they've been pushed off the list by a ton of greyed-out names. -
Posted my entry for Dr. Aeon's 2nd Architect Challenge.
