The producers cancelled Atlantis because they thought Universe would appeal to a wider audience, essentially ignoring the existing fanbase and killing the franchise. They deserve much more of the blame than SyFy.
So they needed to bring in Jerry Ryan as a reformed villainess to allow it to limp on for 2 more seasons? heh

    Such is life.

    Thank you for the time...
He might still make an appearance. He said he wasn't directing, they might ask still make a cameo which he can probably squeeze in. Ultimately it would be nice if he stuck around but the show must go on.
  5. Well they literallly murdered my childhood haha. Yogi had it coming for constantly terrorising the park's picnic baskets. Boo boo only made sure he got the cash since someone else would have anyways. It's better for him to just end than have his friend leaving a life filled with terror. It was a mercy killing hehe.
  6. Thanks squid kid, Ill have check it out.

In Trans2 aren't they in Washington and walk through a door to end up in Arizona? How does that happen, exactly? My brother the geography dude pointed out there's no Jordan-Egypt border for them to cross, which I wouldn't have known, but it's kind of obvious to even the dumbest person that you can't be on the east coast on one side of a door and then in the southwest desert on the other side without it being a magic door. I mean, I'm not looking for rocket surgery from these flicks, but come on, that's simply retarded. Nevermind your higher cognitive functions, they don't even care enough about your brain stem to pretend any of this makes sense.
Well I can easily run my claws through this one hehe. This sort of thing happened plenty through out this film and the first actually. This happened to be the ONE INSTANCE you noticed what I like to call Simpsons geography. (referring the scene in the simpsons movie where Bart says four neighboring states which are no where near each other.) In first film the building sam runs into during the final scene was takened from multiple locations. The inside shots were from detroit while outside was from somewhere in PA. None of this was in LA, but since we are dealing with a fictional city called Mission City , we can't assume Faux LA wouldn't have these things.

In beginning of ROTF the highway in the shanghai battle was shots from LA not china. I'm sure this sort of things happens tons more but those are some quick examples that come to mind in just these too films.

On other hand to further justify the Simpsons geography...this isn't our earth but rather another dimension. May be this alternate reality which the timeline had giant alien transforming robots visit and build some sort of device to cover caused the pyramids not to be build in the same place as they were on our earth. May be due some odd reason there's sand dunes near the museum. (hey there's some giant canyon in middle of Iowa in Star trek heh.) Or may be we just say it's a freaking movies not a geography test and what is in same spot as real life isn't terribly important if it makes for a cool shot. Or you end up sounding like This!

There's a whole list of errors in the First film too. (Such as Mikaela identifies Bumblebee's engine as having a "high-rise, double-pump carburetor" but the engine shown has no such carburetor. ) Movies screw up techincal aspects all time as they're often off on subjects because written by writers not experts in said fields. (such as they flip big switches to kill the power in movies...there's no such BIG SWITCH to take down buildings as conveniently as that. They make all kinds of screwy things happens with guns. If you know about said areas watching movies can be extremely jarring.) Besides the explosion from space that could be seen all across the planet with sun light over every country shown in Armaggedon was far more jarring than anything shown in transformers heh.

I remember that. I picture he likely would say Autobots roll out all time to his company...and everyone responses we're getting sick of hearing you say that Bryan heh.

1969 - NASA astronauts discover what appears to be Nemesis on the Moon.
The Nemesis is crash landed somewhere else in revenge of the fallen. Where isn't exactly clear. The ship in the trailer likely had an autobot aboard it from looks of it, so it's likely another vessel.

There's nothing especially inventive or original about it, but it's extremely well-crafted and nothing in it makes you feel stupider for having viewed it. No Michael Bay movie can make the same claim.
I disagree about that. I've seen most of Bay's films (I didn't see Pearl Habor and I think I'm better off for it.) Bay just is very honest about what he is to himself and his audience. It's big loud, and just pure escapism. He never tries toss in some layers of preteniousness or pretends there's something deeper to what he's doing. It tends be exactly what is and extremely straight forward. I don't see anything terrible about that. I have never felt dumber for watching it. (though I did feel that way when watching several other films this board has raved about.) I mean Hollywood misses the mark on techinal aspects all the time. Transformers in general always been a rule of cool type series. This just never going be one of those things you can dive into without putting some major suspension of disbelief to it.

Could there be more plot or thought sprinkled between explosions, Absolutely. There's obviously been better written Transformers storylines than either of the existing films, with both Beast wars and Transformers animated. It hasn't quite made the mark I think everyone would get completely on board for but it's a tweaking process.

I think this will probably be the best of the trilogy as they got the budget to do what they want unlike the first where things had be done sparingly, and no writers strike so the story will get a far better chance at being slightly more than just a paper thin vehicle for stuff to explode. Hopefully...I could be wrong but I feel good about this one heh.

That's how most movies work. If you apply too much logic to any of them you blow massive gapping holes in them and it all falls apart.

I mean if the Decepticons really wanted humans dead they'd just toss stuff at us from space or use some sort of WMD and never lose a single soldier to us. They'd have all time in world pick thru our planet for whatever they wanted, But that probably wouldn't be a very fun movie to watch.

What we did get on the other hand was fun to watch, and I'll be sure see the third. I imagine the people who didn't like the series have figured out where they stand by now. If you didn't like the first 2 films, then by all means sit this one out. (or atleast see it on DVD for cheap if you feel the need to complain about it.Why support something you dislike?) I will be in line with the rest of the Decepticons waiting for stuff to get blown sky high.
  15. heh comes out on my brothers birthday...that will be easy to remember.

TJ got shot and likely should have died. That was no simulation, its very likely she was inbetween life and death and did nothing more than end up in a version of Heaven.

What appeared to be a dream was not a dream. And likely one of the main reasons they told her not to tell anyone else anyway. They wouldn't believe her. Yet thanks to the wonderful miracle of healing and medicine she lived.

"If you want to dress up as a superhero that's great. Go to the conventions." said Mark Jamieson, spokesman for the Seattle Police Department.

This sums it up well. I dont really see the point in doing this. I mean I get the spirit of what they're doing but it rarely helps much in practice. I just shake my head everytime I see one of these stories pop up. If you want to go on patrol in say a neighborhood watch, not wearing an obvious outfit probably makes it easier to catch badguys in the act. Wearing a big neon sign saying you're here to annoy criminals isn't the healthiest or more helpful option.

If you're hellbent on fighting crime.....go become a cop. Get some real authority, training and back up to handle the situation since they're likely the people you're going be calling anyways. Unless you're wearing an outfit that's actually granting you some real level of protection than +2 against cold damage (aka a sweater.) then you're probably just putting on something that makes it harder to fight, run or patrol in.

I'm all for people standing up to criminals and not being walked on. This isn't the way to do it.

I was thinking would be a fun alternate reality story line for DC would be having Darkseid come to earth and wipe out all the heroes and villains. You create this new earth and have a new batch rise from the ashes, and create a series about that. Liberating the earth from Darkseid and his forces after years of occupation, and ultimately the aftermath of it all. That's a story I'd want to do with that.
  20. The Megaman boss music was the part I actually laughed at. The rest was ok.

Honestly the first season episodes of justice league were so so at times. Which seems lets compare a show heights , which had 2 series tied to it prior to a show just starting. Bruce Timm was in high gear by time justice league unlimited rolled around.

I don't agree with Mr Butane's assessment at all. I really felt the energy of the characters when I watched it. My inner 6 year old was quite pleased with all this.(such as Gravitron saying he's strongest of all...like that's a putting up a signal in the sky for the Hulk to appear and kick your butt heh.) As a long time avengers/marvel fan I knew the beats they were trying to hit, but wasn't always sure how they'd hit them.(this time having the magical creatures tied to the nazis/hydra instead of aliens like the ultimate avengers cartoon.) If you have previous knowledge of things your brain fills in the blanks, if you're a long time DC fan your mind probably does same for Justice league.

Certain things just were going happen as the Avengers come together, Captain America will return after being frozen from WW2 and evil will get the beating of a life time. How they got from point A to Point B is alittle different each time. They've managed take pieces from various aspects of different contuities so far. (thankfully they haven't made it a point make any of the cast into unlikeable D bags as some other versions have.)

I thnik with all micro episodes to flesh out the backgrounds for all new fans they manage to cover all important details without bogging down the main episodes with too much origin retreading. I am really happy with this series so far as one of the best marvel cartoons to date.(I even like the theme song as it's stuck in my head haha.) They do a really good job of making all character feel like they belong on the team despite the wide power differences.

My only complaint was I wasn't initally crazy about Ironman's voice actor as he was trying sound and act like RDJ/movie ironman. I guess I
d preferred someone like the actor used in Ultimate Alliance (Crispin Freedman.) over him, but he's growing on me. All cast for most part is pretty good otherwise.(which it's funny now Scott Menville
has been both definitive sidekicks Bucky and Robin heh.) Was nice see some of the actors from the other marvel projects reprise their roles for this show. (such as many from the Hulk vs movies.)

I guess anyone wants really compare this to the Timverse....wait till it's over.
  22. No that was the beginning of his training when Dooku described him as such. You likely see him progress into a well tuned fighting machine as Maul was as the trailer showed at the end.
  23. I am getting caught up on youtube. (as the episodes are on there atm.) I'm really digging it so far. They seem have several threads all going at once leading to the break out and formation of the avengers. I'm glad they're willing show other characters besides the main team they are showing in the intro. I hope this lasts for awhile. (makes me wish I still had cable to follow it and give it rating.)
  24. With the whole death of a character, why not let people find that aspect out just reading it instead of putting the spoilers right on the dang cover. I mean wouldn't it be far more shocking to have some major chaarcter get taken out in some issue you never saw coming than to know...Spiderman's going to die months in advance. Sure supposed to get buzz...but this has been done to death...literally. We all know it won't stick anyways. So may be....just may be focus on writing a better story. Naah cheap gimicks sell more books I guess.
