I love that the PvP forums have completely ignored this.

Beats working for a living, I suppose.

Oh no, we (or I, anyway) just meant to use the Axis America troops in the Axis America mission-- the one mission that takes place in Axis America.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, this! Sorry, I didn't pick up on quite what was written earlier. The Axis America guys would only need to go in that one mission.
[ QUOTE ]
Also, is there any chance that the propaganda that played over the loudspeakers can be added to that mission?
[/ QUOTE ]
If it helps, that sound is still in the game. It's the indistinct tannoy voice that plays near the top of the high tower in Grandville. -
[ QUOTE ]
While it would have been very cool to use them, we didnt have the resources available to expand the group in a way that would let us use them for the missions.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
[ QUOTE ]
Id like to see the original Axis America troops available in Mission Architect, and Ill look into that. No promises, but if we can make it happen, Ill try to see that it does.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it would be fair, since players are given the option to unlock Axis America critters by paying tickets. But they don't get Axis America critters, they get Council Empire critters with different text!
Really appreciating your responses here, thanks so much. -

Welcome to the boards, Horatio!

[ QUOTE ]
Welcome to the forums, Mr. Harlick, and thank you again for taking the time to address our concerns.
[/ QUOTE ]
This, many many times over.
Just one little additional comment because I've said plenty about canon and the TF already: the original Axis America troops looked like this and they aren't in the game any more. The unlockable Axis America critters in the Mission Architect are wrong. They're just the Council Empire models, with human faces instead of Fifth Column masks.
Please bring back Original Flavour Axis America. -

Here on GameTrailers since Monday morning (at least).

The comments hurt my brain. They are full of stupid.

I might be able to put something together. I only did the two for Kheldians because someone suggested it, and there was already animation/VFX there for shape-changing. VEATs don't have any sort of shape-changing powers to pull directly from.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... Arachnos Sigil perhaps?
[/ QUOTE ]
The bip bip bip pressing buttons on your arm emote followed by the Arachnos Sigil going zoosh in a similar way to the Patron sigils when you activate a Patron armour power? -

we do have, many accents, a quick run down is Manchurian (Manchester)
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be Mancunian. Manchuria is on the other side of the planet. -

So, those pages and pages of discussion of how the hero side TF makes no sense...
[/ QUOTE ]
I expected this to happen. I gues it's useless to reason with them on some things
[/ QUOTE ]
I expected it too, but I still had a glimmer of hope.
::snuff::
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't give up just yet. There was a small patch over the weekend, and we don't know what was in it. I'd guess, though, that text changes in the TF could easily have been what was in there, since it was so small, and since text changes are so unlikely to cause major problems that the Devs could go ahead with a Monday live launch. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thanks. Like someone already posted, though, there was a tiny Test patch over the weekend, after which the version number did not change. Not sure what was in that patch, but at least they DID push it to the Test Server before pushing it Live, even if only for a day or two.
[/ QUOTE ]
Text changes for the Khan TF, perhaps? -
[ QUOTE ]
They just hope that the people they are interviewing are idiots?
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you not remember what Positron said?
[ QUOTE ]
I'd tell you everything if marketing wouldn't kill me.
All info will be revealed in time, or when some website asks me the right questions and I can slip info past the marketing guys here without them noticing.

Most characters who run this will have already betrayed the patrons and they're still breathing.

Yes, but not all of them at once. -

You can choose Male, Female or Huge body types. Additionally, you will be able to change your characters height. So characters can change from a short, skinny civilian to a HUGE powered brute!
*Note : The described scenario will only work if you have an additional costume slot available at Level 20 or through the redemption of Halloween Salvage.
**The Super Science Booster is only available for a limited time on the Test Server in order to make sure we iron out any bugs that may still be lingering. (This is your chance to get a free sneak peek before it goes live) Characters that were not copied over to test prior to the patch will not have access to the Super Science Booster.
*** Please also note that we have disabled a back end process that copies over active account status. This means that if your subscription ends today, or through the end of the week, you will be unable to access the Training Room until we re-enable that back end process. All active accounts that are not set to expire today (or through the rest of the week) will be unaffected.

Actually, they've said "no" to power customization for years.
[/ QUOTE ]
They said a flat-out 'no' in July 07, but have since said that they are going to be doing things that they had previously said they couldn't do. Here's the Timeline of Quotes:
Oct 2005 - City of Villains released: staff cutbacks begin
Feb 2007 - '(Power Customization) would completely dominate some of the artists' time for multiple issues'
April 2007 - '... that level of Power Customization still suffers from the same Its a near impossible schedule hit problem it always has.'
July 2007 - 'As much as I would love to have a purple energy blast or green fire, I dont see it happening anytime soon.'
July 2007 - 'We've basically made the decision that it's not going to happen, and I took the opportunity of the Q&A to inform you guys of that.'
Sep 2007 - 'there's nothing insurmountably difficult about power color customization, it's just a tremendous amount of time to pull it off.'
Nov 2007 - CoH sold to NCsoft. 'Our plans are clear. We are now in a position to make a major reinvestment in the City of Heroes product line.'
Aug 2008 - NC NorCal (as was) advertises for new positions including VFX artist, technical artist, senior software engineer and game engineer
Aug 2008 - 'Character Creator 2.0 includes Powers Customization, allowing players to customize not only the character, but also the actual look of its powers' (only market research!)
Nov 2008 - 'Weve hired some new programmers to look into sprucing up our graphics...'
Nov 2008 - 'I will say that there are things coming, some of which we have been hinting at, or maybe even flat out denying was even possible, for a long time.'
??? 2009 - 'Don't tell the competition who's been touting only they can do that thing. The river runs red at midnight. Or blue. Or green. Your choice. Shhh.'
April 2009 - 'All I can really comment on at this time is that NCsoft is providing us with more resources than ever before and we have some great stuff planned for our players over the coming months and years.'
May 2009 - 'We've hired some "Type-R" programmers (inside joke) to investigate and deliver (a graphical update).'
May 2009 - 'Power Customization is one of those things that we couldn't do at Cryptic. That's all I'll say about that.'
June 2009 - 'While all of these added customization options are part of the immediate content going into Issue 15, it's really only a sampling of a much larger picture - as hinted by the recent announcement of the Going Rogue expansion. Our players can expect to hear some very exciting news about the new, much larger systems we've been working on to support and expand the customization aspect of City of Heroes within the next few months.' -

yes, I'd like to know where you got that.

It couldn't be more fake if you'd written it in crayon.
But I guess you intended that to be obvious, so... -

The series ended with the government winning and all the main characters dying. Sorry to spoil the show.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ahem. Avon lived. He was too sexy to die. Fact. -
[ QUOTE ]
Can anyone think of examples in other media of villains being evil and winning through at the finish?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, plenty.
Hannibal
House of Cards
The Sopranos
The Tom Ripley books
All of the Flashman books
oh, and the 'evil ending' to any game you care to think of
The point about CoV is that the player is in charge, so the player's character has to be able to win on their terms. We don't want to recreate standard comic-book scenarios in which evil is always beaten by good. We don't play to lose. -
[ QUOTE ]
hi i was wondering, which one of these people give me a PI DEMON farm
[/ QUOTE ]
None of them. Contacts don't give farms, they give missions. You can choose to farm them if you want.
Historically, referring to a given mission as 'the (name of creature) farm' is a good way to get a timer slapped on it. -
[ QUOTE ]
The person in question was on crack.
