Does coloring the 80 x 80 pixel avatar count?

OKay Juggertha, TA, Larissa, Professor Blues and the rest of you talked me into it... here's

Don't loose hope Juggertha, this kind of piece is a make you or break you... just take all the breaks you need and come back to it, that's what my old oil painting teacher use to say. She would go off watch kung fu flicks and then come back all energized... not that you could ever watch too many kung fu flicks!
But if I may ask a request, I'm really loving this one, and I'd be honored if you could include my toon... I'll send you some current screens of my character. Let me know if that's kosher.

I figured this deserves it's own thread, this was a surprise gift for Professor Blues. Partly because it was his birthday, and also because he's been patient enough to wait through my numerous doodles of other people before I get to his Fire Stingray toon...
Which I suspect may be a while, as after this I would like to start & complete my last ever TA piece...

I think the hand is quite good. You might want to smooth the darker shadow that forms her chin, the uneven edge makes it look like she's older than she should be... virtual chin lift!
As for the hair, check these out...

If it was me I would pick a different shadow color for either your hair or white parts of the costume. Even though "we" know it's supposed to be white, white reflects the light around it and picks up colors, which is why many artists just use lightest to lightest of their colors to depict white. That way your white can be true white and really pale purple, or pink, or yellow, etc...
Or you can use 2 different light greys and white also.

If you have one of those F Lock keys like my keyboard does, that has to be off, or disabled for the printscreen button to work. I like rotating my toon in the character creator, then I line up the top line to create a montage. But to do this right, you have to crop fairly the same size each time... Here's an example I'm using for my upcoming TA piece:

Thanks I had to "photoshop" her other arm in... that's what I get for posting the drawing too early. I was so over anxious to color it, I forgot to finish drawing it all.
This is actually the 1/2 size version, I sent the Graes the humongous original file, that way if they want to crop the faces, it's still a decent resolution.
Okay back to drawing samurai armor and oh yeah yet another final sketch of you know who...
